From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Thea Harrison comes the final novella featuring Pia and Dragos…

Pia’s latest pregnancy has become a daily challenge, her relationship with Dragos strained with argument. That hasn’t stopped them from achieving a compromise and traveling to Las Vegas to celebrate their friend Rune’s wedding to his mate Carling.

From the moment they arrive, the trip goes awry. Death walks in Vegas, and Pia is kidnapped as an ancient enemy makes a move to destroy the Great Beast once and for all.

But the Great Beast has other plans.

On Planet Dragos everything goes the way he arranges it—unless someone decides to cross him, and God help them then, because he doesn’t know how to back down, and he doesn’t ever, ever let up…

I’ve loved this Elder Races series since I read the first book, Dragon Bound. It’s great to get more time with Pia and Dragos, as well as some other characters like Rune and Carling.  This is novella length but a lot happens in a short number of pages. Some other beloved characters are only mentioned.

Planet Dragos made me sad because it feels like the end of the story. It’s strange because it has Pia pregnant with a second son and Liam in college.  There’s a trip to Vegas, a kidnapping and rescue. I enjoyed this. It is a reminder of what is really important. I highly recommend the entire series.

  1. I loved this one too. It was heartwarming and sad, because it feels like the end even though the series wills till go on. It’s saying good by to the first and main couple that started the whole love affair with the series. I’m happy with how this one went and where the world is going. Great review.

    • Thanks Angela. It left an interesting view of this world. I wonder if we will get another Carling and Rune book; they are favorites of mine. And I definitely want more Liam and Niall.

    • It’s one of my favorite authors and an amazing series. Start with Dragon Bound which is the same couple as this novella.

  2. Sophia Rose

Just this past December, I read my first Thea Harrison in an anthology novella. It was set in this world and I loved it. Can’t wait to get to the series now from book one.

    • I’m glad you liked the novella in the anthology. I think it would have been harder for me without the series firmly in my mind. But you also have so much pleasure ahead because it is all good. There’s not a bad book in the bunch. I listened to some on audio, own some on audio. Sophie Eastlake is a great narrator.
