This is a new feature I developed where each month we will look at our favorite – the best – series in a genre.
The genre here, by my definition, is contemporary romance which is funny. It seems perfect for summer, perfect vacation or beach reads. It’s always hard to narrow down to favorites. I’m sure I am forgetting some great authors. There are also plenty of authors I have yet to read. Please share your funny favorites with me in the comments.
My favorite Romantic Comedy series are (in no particular order):
Knitting in the City series Lucky Harbor series Tangled series
by Penny Reid by Jill Shalvis by Emma Chase
Cocktail, Hudson Valley series Wicked Games, Slow Burn series Big Rock series
by Alice Clayton by JT Geissinger by Lauren Blakely
What are your favorite series?
Vote for your top 3 favorites! You can vote for my favorites or add favorites of your own. Sadly, the polldaddy account is broken. So you will need to list your top 3 in your comments this month. Remember this is how the winning option is chosen for the giveaway.
Then enter the giveaway below. The winner will get the first book in the winning series! Open to anyone who can receive an Amazon digital ebook.
Ha! You’ve named a few I want to try. Katie McAllister’s, Carolyn Brown’s, and Molly Harper are the romcoms I like.
OK I’ve read and enjoyed all those 3 authors. I just think of Katie McAllister and Molly Harper as more PNR. But I know and have read some of Molly Harper’s contemporary romance as well.
You’ve assembled a great list! I’d add Destination Love by Jo Watson.
Thanks. I want to have your recommendations in the comments also.
My top 3 on your list: Tangled, Lucky Harbor, Cocktail Hudson Valley.
I like romantic comedies. I loved Tangled and Neanderthal Seeks Human but I need to move forward in the series. Lauren Blakely is always a lot of fun and I remember loving Jennifer Cruisie years ago.
Yes I read one Jennifer Cruise book once and it was one of the funniest things I’ve ever read. It was called The Bet. Somehow I never read anything else by the author but I would. It was great.
Jill Shalvis has been on my TBR forever. I really need to try her one day.

Jill Shalvis is a go to romance author for me. I love all her series. If you want really funny, I think maybe Penny Reid is funnier. But both of those are excellent. JT Geissinger has some of the sassiest dialogue ever.
I love any romantic series by Jill Shalvis. Also, Sheryl Woods and Robyn Carr. All three are wonderful.
I haven’t read anything by Sheryl Woods. I think I might have read something by Robyn Carr but not a whole series. So more authors for me to try.
