Hide. That’s all Pippa can do to escape the terror chasing her. But now that she’s off the grid in a safe house, she finds plenty of interesting things to watch through the window. Like her new neighbor, with his startling green eyes, killer smile, and sexy bad-boy tattoo . . .

Run. Malcolm West is fleeing the hell he unleashed in his last assignment as an undercover cop. A backwoods bungalow sounds like the perfect place to start over. Until he discovers he’s been set up . . .

Fight. Someone’s gone to a lot of trouble to bring them together. No matter how much he resents that, and his own driving needs, Malcolm will have to dig deep and let loose the banished killer inside himself, or Pippa’s fears could come true faster than the flip of a bolt in a lock .

I always enjoy Rebecca Zanetti. She knows how to bring the feels of a connected couple along with the hot and sexy, plus a compelling plot, in addition to the romance. Neither Pippa or Malcolm have had an easy time of things. I love how they are both strong, smart survivors.  I understand why they are both a bit reserved with their history and personal information.  It just makes for trouble.

If you love someone, you have to trust them. So since trust is a scarce thing for them, can they really love anyone?  Sometimes the feels are there, rational or not.

Hidden has lots of action, and a terrifying suspense aspect, for both Pippa and Malcolm.  They are both such compassionate people in spite of the horrors they have seen. It’s both endearing and whoa steamy how attracted they are.  They are well-matched and they need each other in their lives. They deserve that love.

I am so excited this is the beginning of a series. I hope we will see more of this couple and hopefully more relationships around the “team”  in this Deep Ops series.

About Rebecca Zanetti

New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Zanetti has worked as an art curator, Senate aide, lawyer, college professor, and a hearing examiner – only to culminate it all in stories about Alpha males and the women who claim them. She is a member of RWA, has won awards for her works throughout the industry, and has a journalism degree with a poly sci emphasis from Pepperdine University as well as a Juris Doctorate from the University of Idaho.

Growing up amid the glorious backdrops and winter wonderlands of the Pacific Northwest has given Rebecca fantastic scenery and adventures to weave into her stories. She resides in the wild north with her husband, children, and extended family who inspire her every day-or at the very least give her plenty of characters to write about.

    • I know. I was excited to find it when I was browsing something. It’s a good start to a new series. It’s always more to assimilate in the first book with the world-building. But the topics here are not light and fluffy anyway. I liked it tho.

  1. I loved the opening book for the new series, too. The ops team is going to provide some fun additional books, too. That dog!!!! He stole the show.

    • That often makes for a special book. Or at the very least a fun character. Katie Ruggle, Jill Shalvis, Jen Blood, and Sawyer Bennett have all had ones I enjoyed, and of course the Dogfather series by Roxanne St. Claire.

    • Oh it’s one of my favorite genres since usually there is a mystery or action in addition to the romance. It’s like urban fantasy but contemporary romance instead of fantasy (so no supernatural) altho Zanetti uses a bit of supernatural abilities in some of her romantic suspense ( not this series).

    • I’ve really enjoyed everything of hers I have read. Granted some of the stories are obviously fiction and not realistic. But the people interactions feel authentic at least. I like the mystery and action since most are romantic suspense, which is a favorite genre because it is not just about the romance.
