The Irin Chronicles series is a series I would read in order. There is such a diverse canvas of world locations and characters over ages, it really helps. The series almost starts as urban fantasy with one couple. Then it switches up to more paranormal romance with each couple having their own book or novella. Reading in order also builds the overall story arc of the Irin people. Currently these books are in Kindle Unlimited for a time, also.
Rhys was a good friend to Ava in the early books in the series. The Seeker is his story with Meera. The community has hopes they will be suited to each other and as they work to claim lost history they find they are. I adore the book and research humor.
I did guess one of the bad guys. I am curious about Vasu; what is his deal, really? I was always sad we didn’t learn more about Jaron; I wanted Ava to have more time with her father. We continue to learn more about the Fallen.
The author really does an amazing job with the character development as well as blending the current story into the overall series arc. She allows the women to be as strong and smart as the men. I highly recommend Elizabeth Hunter and all her series.
Rhys’s parents, clearly anticipating future grandchildren, brought a richly illustrated copy of Hokman Abat, the Irin manual for fatherhood.
“Read it before you need it,” his father advised. “There are many wisdoms about caring for a mate in the Hokaman Abat. It’s not only about children.”
“Is this the Salman translation?” Rhys asked.
“It is.”
He frowned. Do you think it’s more accurate than the Gen’ez? I’ve never asked, but I’ve read varying opinions on which holds most closely to the–”
“Rhys.” His father smiled. “Not the time.”
Rhys glanced at Meera. “I imagine she’s curious, too.”
“The Gen’ez version is what’s most widely in Udaipur,” Meerea sai, reaching for the book. “So I’m curious to compare the two for discrepancies.”
“Heaven above.” Angharad sighed. “She really is perfect for him.”
He opened the trunk of the car and loaded Sari’s suitcase in. “Slight change of plans for your visit. Still doing a mating ceremony with all the formalities and rather epic food, but we’re also hunting an killing an archangel while you’re here.”
Damien looked up from his phone. Sari visibly perked up.
“Interesting,” she said. That’s much better than formal dinners.”
“Oh, I’m quite certain we’re not getting out of formal dinners,” Rhys said. “We’ll just be wearing weapons while we eat.”

I read all types of books but my favorites are urban fantasy and romantic suspense.I like some romance and some action / adventure / mystery in everything.I like sex in my books but please, only between TWO people.Intimate conversation is equally important to the sex in a book.It lets me see the characters.The other thing I enjoy is humor.

Oh, this is new to me and it sounds pretty good. I like seeing strong ratings later in the series like this.
Yes some series don’t hold up throughout. This one changes after the first three books. So she keeps it fresh and fascinating. Each book has a romance but the overall storyline of the Irin people worldwide.
