The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly  @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received.

Stacking The Shelves is also a weekly meme hosted by  Tynga’s Reviews and Marlene from Reading Reality.  It’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Don’t forget to look at my giveaways on the right sidebar.   There are several this week and a couple are ending at midnight!

What a great week for weather!  I was able to wear flip-flops to the water class last Sunday. I just put my sweatpants or yoga pants and top over my swim suit and then take a towel and undies.  I realized after class I had not put on a shirt over my suit, but thankfully a light jacket.  Good thing I was headed straight home!  Tuesday was 73F/21C so I rode the Harley to Chair Yoga. What a gorgeous day! When I got home I raked my weekly 2 cans of leaves.   After being cooler this weekend, it is supposed to be back in the 60s again this week.

I’m reading all about the love with upcoming blog tours this week with my reviews from some of my favorite romance authors.  It took me the whole week to update my blog challenges with linkys and forms etc but it is complete for January.  There are some Goodreads shelves which I “emptied” to start the new year – NewRelease and library-love, so the 2018 stuff isn’t there anymore.

Otherwise it has been a fairly quiet week, which is great.  There is so much happening in the upcoming week I’m worried.   Today I have a bunch of reviews to write.  I also want to do some knitting and sewing.  I’m working on the dog sweater which I want to finish by Thursday.  Just too many things I want to do.  The YMCA is going to get shortchanged with the appointments we have this week also.  My mom is doing well and can probably go home this week. Yes, 91 and had surgery just 2.5 weeks ago; she’s stronger than many of us.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality.  These are the exciting ARCs I received this week:

Nothing.

The Perfect Child

Birthright                                                    White Trash Zombies Gone Wild

I purchased my Prime Freebie and then 2 audiobooks in the Audible 2-1 sale.

Now the really scary one. This is all the Kindle and Audible freebies I grabbed this past week. You can see why I need to do Thrifty Thursday to be sure I read a few at least one each month.

I really meant to cut back on freebies BUT  they are free so I guess that won’t be happening.

I’m not including things like reviews posted or upcoming as they are always in the right sidebar. And, my challenge status is also there.

If you like this and want to see me do the Sunday post, as often as I can manage, leave me a comment and let me know.

Anne

  1. Melanie

I’ve got reviews to write and publish too. Here the weather temp wise hasn’t been too bad, but we’ve had a lot of rain. We are already the top 10 wettest Feb and that was on the 8th. I’m going to need to build an arc. LOL. Hope you have a great week.

    • Thank you. I hope you do better than I do. I am not lazy but I am moody. I feel like knitting and sewing and I do not feel like writing reviews. But now that I’m up and have had breakfast hopefully I’ll work into it.

I have bought a couple of the White Trash Zombies on recommendation from friends but have yet to listen to them.

  2. We did have the best weather this week! I started my walking and feel exhilarated now that I’m getting back to exercising. Such great news about your Mom, Anne.

Fingers crossed that you end up liking Birthright. I also got the Armentrout book.

    Have a wonderful week!

    • I am really excited about walking with audiobooks this year. I’ve never done that before. It’s odd but I didn’t walk much because I was on my feet 9 hours a day at work I guess.

Thanks for all the book recommendations and I hope your week is the best!

  3. LOL, that’s good that it was warm enough after you forgot your shirt for swimming. Woohoo on getting the bike out for a ride to yoga. I was just side-eying all the leaves that have blown into my yard after the big wind storm we got last week, but the ice and sleet made it impossible to do something about it- maybe I’ll get a mild enough day next week…
Hopefully it goes well getting all your reviews and posts ready. I have a few, but need to finish up some new releases I want to have read now that they came in a little later than expected. Yay for getting caught up on challenge linking and updating your shelves. Hopefully, you’ll get the doggie sweater done in time for her.

    Have a great week, Anne!

    • Thank you Sophia! You are always so kind and supportive. Your book comments are thoughtful and insightful also.

The sweater will be finished, probably today. I got about 80% or so last night while finishing an audiobook.

Review writing is a bit of an art I think. I struggle sometimes to share meaningful ideas which aren’t spoilers.
Have a wonderful week and find the best books!

    • Well it’s colder here for another day or so but colder is relative. It will still be in the 40s (5-7C) . But then we are supposed to get rain. Wednesday is the only sunny and warmer day and my last chance to rake leaves this week for the Thursday pickup. I can’t complain; it’s just not too bad.

Here’s to a fantastic reading week!

    • Well I wear them inside even when it’s too cold outside! 🙂 Although if it’s reeeeaallly cold I wear socks and slippers in the house.

I needed a quiet week, the lull before the storm. Today is still stay at home and do things in the order I want. I need to get to bed as I haven’t been sleeping worth a darn the last few nights.

      Have a great week!

    • yes, I have a bad habit of spending a bit too much time cruising social media. I need to curtail that to a certain amount of time or do it at the end of the day so I’m fresh for writing reviews or working on projects. Thanks for visiting.

  4. That sounds like awesome weather! I could use a good day of 70’s lol. But I think I have a few months yet before I’ll get that! 🙂

Glad to hear your mother is doing well! And White Trash Zombie looks like a trip!

    • Well it was cold this weekend. Now it’s raining for 2 days. UGH.

I only got 3 of 5 reviews written so far and now I’ve another one to write. Well tonight maybe I can get in one more. I DID finish the doggie sweater!!! So now it’s back to my warmer weather cowl which is about halfway and some sewing. I hope you have a lovely week and warmer with less rain. Enjoy your books!

  5. I need to organise the goodreads shelves… They’re so useful but I’m terrible at using them.
I’m trying to catch up on reviews at the moment. I’ve been really bad at keeping on top of it from late last year and am paying for it, lol.
    Have a good week, Anne!

    • One of the biggest hurdles was today and it went well. My daughter started a new therapy group. Wednesday she has her midterm. It’s colder and raining today and tomorrow.

Thanks. I hope you are having a great week.

  6. I need to get my butt in gear and work on reviews. I really want to but with school deadlines some in 3 days it gets really hard for me. Plus, I want to hop around here and there and let everyone know I am still there. =) Have a wonderful week!

    Mary

  7. How nice to have good weather! It really makes getting out and exercising so much easier. You ride a Harley?! Wow, that’s adventurous! Bravo, Anne! 🙂 Good news about your mother, too.

Good luck with writing all your reviews. Sometimes that can be a challenge if you have a few to tackle.

    • Yes I have a Harley Dyna Superglide, so I love a bit of sunny warmer weather. In 2014, I rode 19,000 miles in 29 states (by myself) and decided where I wanted to live. Last year was a very bad year with hardly any riding. But in MN where there was snow many months, annually I only put about 4000-5000 miles on the car and 10,000-19,000 on the Harley.

Right now I am finishing at least one book every day so I have to really keep up on the reviews! That’s what happens when you are running around all day with your earbuds.

      • That’s wonderful, Anne! Riding 29 States is an amazing accomplishment, and what a neat way to pick where you wanted to live! What made you pick Minnesota over the other options?

        • oh no oops. I moved FROM Minnesota (-40F to 105F) to North Carolina (15F to 100F) . NC has moderate temperatures, a much smaller range of temperatures. The spring/fall temperatures I prefer last much longer here. It is easier to ride the Harley year round. But I also looked at many things on the computer as far as ethnic mixes, taxes, availability of stores/shopping/restaurants, jobs, college options, healthcare quality, and cost of living. I like that it is only a very long day’s drive from my only sibling in Florida, and that we are about 3 hours from the ocean and 3 hours from mountains.
