For as long as it has stood overlooking New England's jagged coastline, Lexington House has been the witness to madness and murder. But in recent years the inexplicable malice that once tormented so many has lain as silent as its victims. Until now.
A member of the nation's foremost paranormal forensic team, Jenna Duffy has made a career out of investigating the inexplicable. Yet nothing could prepare her for the string of slayings once again plaguing Lexington House, or for the chief suspect a boy barely old enough to drive, much less kill.
With the young man's life on the line, Jenna must team up with attorney Samuel Hall to pinpoint whoor what is taking the lives of those who get too close to the past. But everything they learn brings them closer to the forces of evil stalking this tortured ground.

A short review to update challenges
I was able to get Phantom Evil, the first book of this Krewe Of Hunters series from the Audible Romance package. Heart of Evil and Sacred Evil were available with audio through Kindle Unlimited. The Evil Inside is not in either program so I requested an CDs through Interlibrary Loan.
I am enjoying the series and I LOVE Luke Daniels narration but this one didn’t work for me as well. Jenna is off visiting with her uncle in Salem, Massachusetts. She teams up with a lawyer who grew up in Salem and her uncle to defend a boy who is getting railroaded for murder because of circumstantial evidence and prejudice.
The whole plan and plot did not feel very organized. There was almost none of the team involved until later and still only a few of them. It’s more fun to have the team dynamics. Jenna also did too many things without backup, which is not smart for law enforcement. The romance was too insta-love, even though they met briefly as teenagers. I enjoyed listening but I had to suspend disbelief a bit too much.
Narration:
Luke Daniels is the voice of the series. He is one reason I chose this series. I am able to listen at 1.5x speed. He performed all the voices of males and females well. The various accents sounded right to me. He is wonderful.

OOoh. I’ve never heard of this series! I’ll have to check the first one on.

I’m liking this series a lot and I’ve bought several of them. As I noted some are in Audible’s romance package and some are in Kindle Unlimited. This one is my least favorite so far. But my reviews of the other ones should be at the bottom and I plan to listen to the entire series because Luke Daniels is amazing.
I enjoyed a novella in this series many years ago and then forgot about it! I do love Luke Daniels… maybe someday I’ll get the audiobooks! Thanks.
There are many. Something like 24 or 28 now. I’ll slowly work my way through what I can. Luke Daniels is awesome and romantic suspense is a favorite genre.
I’ve always wanted to try Heather Graham, Anne. This sounds like a wonderful series, and I’m so happy to hear you are enjoying it. Wonderful review!
Luke Daniels is amazing as a narrator. It is romantic suspense around an FBI BAU team . I’d start at the beginning because you get the best intro to all the characters there. Each book has a different romance with at least one of the team members so far. Since the team only has about 8 people I don’t know if the team changes or what but there are 24 or more books.
I have a bunch of books from this series. I felt the same about this one. Some are better than others. I really need to back to these.
Yeah, this was my least favorite so far. But overall I like the series.
Well, I guess they can’t all be big winners. It’s great you’re enjoying the series, though, and that you were able to get them through existing memberships and libraries.
Yes and I love the narrator. The next few are going to be Interlibrary loan and tougher to get so we will see how that goes.
I read a HG book a long time ago and should have read more. I remember liking it. I should grab some, as I know she is a good writer.

I want to listen to the series because I love the narrator Luke Daniels. I’ve bought some but it may be hard to get some on audio.
