I found Juno Rushdan by reading the Sourcebooks sampler of romantic suspense novellas, Turn the Tide. I hurried to request Every Last Breath which is the first in the Final Hour series. This could be read as a standalone. In fact, I went back to the novella to see if I could find connections and none were obvious, other than operatives for high stakes governments mission by a covert type group.
We learn the covert group here is Gray Box. Maddie is chosen for the current operation because she speaks Russian and was once engaged to the brother of one of the players. Shocks and twists are slammed into us throughout the action. I have to wonder how realistic some of the violence and corruption is. It might be horrifying how much is.
A second chance romance for Maddie and Cole is interwoven into the life and death government action. The crazy choices and mendacious events in their pasts take time to process. Their passion is as clear as ever.
I enjoyed the fun beginning in a thrilling world of adventure. I definitely plan to read Nothing to Fear in August, which is connected to the characters here.

I read all types of books but my favorites are urban fantasy and romantic suspense.I like some romance and some action / adventure / mystery in everything.I like sex in my books but please, only between TWO people.Intimate conversation is equally important to the sex in a book.It lets me see the characters.The other thing I enjoy is humor.

Yes I was very taken with the stories in the anthology and want to try all the series. This one is especially fun because the author has experience as a military intelligence officer so there could be a bit of realistic details, although this is fiction.
Someone recently told me to check this one out. I do like the sound of it and enjoy second chance romances. I think my sister might like this one too.
I found it through the anthology. I am enjoying this series. I hope you all do if you try it. The free anthology would be an easy way to get a taste and the initial story is short so it’s not as much of a time investment.

It’s definitely in mine It’s a bit more corrupted / secret government but it’s a whirlwind and I enjoyed it. I like the romance. I do look forward to staying more with one team in the next one.

You might. I would say it’s darker, more mission/action and less quirky romance than some romantic suspense in this type.
