Series on Saturday: Guys Who Lost Their Shirts @Pamela_Clare @laurakayeauthor @CaraBristol @TessaDare @KitRocha @ElleKennedy #Giveaway

Posted May 9, 2020 by Anne - Books of My Heart in Giveaway, Series on Saturday / 26 Comments

This is a new feature I developed where each month we will look at our favorite – the best – series in a genre.

The genre here, by my definition,  is a  series with covers where Guys Lost Their Shirts.    These are the ones which came to mind.  I enjoyed some more than others and I have not read all of these series.  The team helped me with this one too.

Since I haven’t read everything, it’s a subset of the possibilities.  I’m sure I am forgetting some great authors. There are also plenty of authors I have yet to read. Please share your favorites with me in the comments, also.

My Guys Who Lost Their Shirts series are (in no particular order):

Cobra Elite                                               Off Campus                                   Alien Mate
by Pamela Clare                                      by Elle Kennedy                                     by Cara Bristol

Hard Ink                                          Gideon’s Riders                               Spindle Cove
by Laura Kaye                                      by Kit Rocha                                        by Tessa Dare

What are your favorite series?

Favorite shirtless guys, theres so many ! Jamie Fraser in Outlander, Jean Claude in Anita Blake series by Laurell Hamilton, Dax from Alison Kent’s Dalton Gang series, Shane and Ilya from Game Changers by Rachel Reid , Roake from Eve Dallas by JD Robb’s Death series….just to off the top of my head.

  2. I’ve got a couple more in the historical romance column that are just wonderful. Victorian Rebels by Kerrigan Brynne is awesome! You’d love it, Anne, as it’s a bit darker with lots of action and intrigue. Another one of my favorites is The Lairds Most Likely by Anna Campbell, one of my favorite historical romance authors. This one is set in Scotland, which just sweetens the pot.

  3. Fun theme!

Let’s see what I can add… Christina Hovland’s Mile High series, Anna Hackett’s Gladiator series, JR Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series, Colleen Gleason’s Heroes of New Vegas, Jay Crownover’s Loveless, Texas, Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld, Amy Jarecki’s highlander, Vonda Sinclair’s highlanders.

  4. Janie McGaugh

Rebecca Zanetti’s Dark Protectors series, Donna Grant’s Dark Kings series, and Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld series

  5. There are so many favorite shirtless guy covers I love. Some of my favorites are Breaking Point by Pamela Clare, Never Love A Highlander by Maya Banks, Twice Tempted by Jeaniene Frost, Wed To a Highland Warrior by Donna Fletcher, Ride Wild by Laura Kaye, The Outlaw Viking by Sandra Hill

  6. Love that theme..’guy lost their shirt’. ‘Beautiful bastard series comes to mind when I think of romance novels . it’s funny they’re either overly dressed or the opposite

OMG – this is a hilarious sub-genre! I feel like we don’t see many man-chest covers any more. I remember one of my favorites (both the book and how the author made fun of her cover) is The Iron Duke by Meljean Brook. He doesn’t have on a shirt, but he does have on a jacket that is left open! haha

    • We try to have fun with this monthly giveaway. I was trying to think of a romance one for May and tropes don’t work because generally an entire series won’t be friends to lovers or fake girlfriend or that sort of thing. But this came to mind as I’ve seen something similar as a bookstore joke. I’ve been excited about it for a couple months. I like that we got multiple genres here too.
