The Rules
- Pick 1 series. Yes, just 1. Announce which series you’ve picked on your sign up post and link it back here.
- Read EVERY book in the series. You don’t have to read novellas or short stories, just the core books.
- Read them all between 12am (your time) September 1st and 11:59pm (your time) September 30th. They MUST be marked (on Goodreads) as started and finished in the month of May to count.
- Enjoy bragging to everyone about how you’re all caught up on whatever series you read (AKA – have fun)! Use the hashtag #SeriesinaMonth
So I always have a tough decision for my Read A Series in a Month Challenge. Should I do ebooks or audiobooks? This time it will be ebooks which is unusual. I’m also choosing a western romance series which I have read pieces of out-of-order and plan to finish.
My choice is the Wyoming Cowboy series by Jessica Clare. I have already read books 1, and 3.
I plan to get books 2 and 4 at the library and I’ve got the eARC for book 5.
About Jessica Clare
This is a pen name for Jill Myles.
Jill Myles has been an incurable romantic since childhood. She reads all the ‘naughty parts’ of books first, looks for a dirty joke in just about everything, and thinks to this day that the Little House on the Prairie books should have been steamier.
After devouring hundreds of paperback romances, mythology books, and archaeological tomes, she decided to write a few books of her own – stories with a wild adventure, sharp banter, and lots of super-sexy situations. She prefers her heroes alpha and half-dressed, her heroines witty, and she loves nothing more than watching them overcome adversity to fall into bed together.

I can't really remember any time when I wasn't reading. I LOVE books and what they give me. It's an opportunity to learn new things, see new places, live different emotions in a "safe" way. It lets me live in a new world.
I read all types of books but my favorites are urban fantasy and romantic suspense.I like some romance and some action / adventure / mystery in everything.I like sex in my books but please, only between TWO people.Intimate conversation is equally important to the sex in a book.It lets me see the characters. The other thing I enjoy is humor.

That sounds like fun, but I have been such a mood reader of late that I’m struggling to read my ARCs, let alone tackle a series. (Or even what’s left of a series, like the 3 books in the Charles Lenox mysteries I haven’t read.) On the other hand, if I find myself close to finishing one… maybe I’ll jump in. 😉
I had to choose one with only 3 books. I have sometimes done both an audio and an ebook series, or as many as 5-6 books. But I am not up for that this time.
Good luck on this challenge. I like to do this challenge, but this year I”m skipping. School is starting this week and I’ve got to be a teacher as well as all the other things.
Hopefully you can do it next time. I really enjoy it to help me get through a series which is fun to read them all in a row..
That’s funny about getting the books out of order. I do that now and then. Yay for finishing up the missing ones and catching up the series for the challenge. Ride ’em, cowgirl!
I wanted to finish these up after the SoS Cowboys!
I hate when I read books out of order (it’s always by accident). I hope you enjoy this series – lots of Christmas in there! Should be fun!
IKR? The two I read were both Christmas and some of these are too. Well it’s an emotional time so it makes a fuller story I guess.
Good luck with the challenge but I’m 100% sure you’ll boss it. I’m always amazed at how many books you manage to read in a month. 🙂
I usually participate in this challenge but I’m so fussy with reading at the moment that I honestly don’t know what series I’d choose or if my mood would hold long enough for me to read it if/when I settle on one. 🙁
Thank you. I would be sure other times but the moody is a thing. I can always read but not always what I’m “supposed” to read.
