I love the covers of What Moves the Dead and Of Claws and Fangs. I guess I just like covers with animals, lol.
I have a tendency towards covers with trees and nature.
Same…I also like ones with big pretty dresses or books
I do love the cover of The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy!
And I need to know if the December review box you have on the side is a plug in for the Ultimate Book blogger? I need to figure out how to do some of the stuff on here. 🙂
yes Lisa it is from UBB I’ll email you.
I thought it was very well done and fit the story so well.
I also love the cover for Crash Land on Kurai, SJ Pajonas always has such pretty covers. The Mercy Thompson covers look great too, although I haven’t read the series, the covers always catch my eye. I haven’t read A Turn of the Tide yet, but I bought my copy and the cover is great indeed.
Yes, the Pajonas’ series covers really catch the eye and give a good sense of what is inside. Oh yes, love the Mercy Thompson covers and its fun to see what part of the story the tattoo art depicts each time. 🙂
yes I love every Mercy Thompson cover. I met the artist at DragonCon in 2017 and bought one as a print. He’s amazing and very kind. I also bought A Turn of the Tide , pre-ordered but haven’t listened yet.
Without physical books, I don’t tend to pay much attention to covers anymore. One that I remember standing out is Only Bad Options by Jennifer Estep.
It’s true that sometimes I get the digital arcs and never think about what the cover is and get surprised later when I spot it. 🙂
I’m the same about covers, or I used to be since I did everything digital but I’ve thought some were really outstanding so I’m glad to honor them.
Yay I am loving your cover pics.
Great books with great covers, woohoo!
Thank you Kimberly. This is always fun to do.
I like The Raven Song the Best, and find What Moves the Dead the most interesting cover.
What moves the dead is a pretty creepy cover, but totally fits the story. Love the Raven Song because it looks like a library a little bit.
Of Claws and Fangs- love that !
It’s one of my top 10 reads this year too. It was just extremely well done.
Thank you so much for including Crash Land on Kurai! I love that cover too. My cover designer does such a great job. 🙂
We thought so!
I do love the artwork on the Brigg’s books. I am also a huge fan of the cover of What Moves the Dead.
Creepy yet perfect.
I’m impressed by how much attention is paid to covers by authors and publishers these days. These are all wonderful. Crazy how Eskens and Krueger’s covers look so similar and they both have lovely writing styles.
Eskens and WKK are both writing about BWCA in Minnesota so it’s not completely weird. But I did group covers a bit by style or nominator.
Wonderful covers!
Thank you! Obviously we loved them.
Great covers you chose here! I definitely agree about Patricia Briggs and Kelley Armstrong.
The Patricia Briggs ones are always stunning.
I also liked the cover for A Turn of the Tide.
I like the covers in that series.
