I adore the Pets in Space anthology series that always brings a stellar group of authors together both long-time favs and new-to-mes that I find at the very least likeable, but generally fabulous.
I am tempted to provide the mini reviews for all twelve novellas- and I did on my GoodReads review if you’re interested, but that would make a review almost the size of a novella. Instead, I’ll leave title, series, rating and brief sci-fi trope indicators.
Most can standalone fine though they are from existing series. The anthology collection of stories is unavailable now because each year they are limited releases supporting the Hero-Dogs.org charity, but most of the novellas are available as single ebooks.

Took me a while to get through these because I wanted to appreciate them a few at a time, but the talent represented in this sci-fi romance anthology is prodigious. Not a boring or disappointing read in the pack. A quality read from cover to cover.
Clever worldbuilding, strong development of characters and romances, and most definitely well-represented by the fabulous pets!

This does sound like a lot of fun!
These really are. I’ve got to get caught up on four more of the anthologies and they are so great each time I pick one up.
Sometimes it is good to take your time with a book esp an anthology
The first three, I tried to read them straight through and ended up with it all sort of a blur, but this way of a few at a time helped me enjoy them a whole lot better.
I love animals and fantasy/sci-fi so this sounds like a wonderful anthology. Also, a great way to try out an author. Thanks for breaking it down, Sophia!
Yes, these are so fun with the pets getting a big role and I have found so many great authors/series to try by reading through this anthology series.
I read the first one and really liked it. I didn’t realize there were 4 to the series now.
There are eight! Wild, right? I know you’d love all these other stories because you’re a pet and sci-fi romance fan, Mary.
This sounds like such a fun anthology and for a great cause. thanks!
It totally is, Jen. I get excited about each one coming out (even though I’m behind on reading them…) 🙂
Love the idea behind these, and as a pet lover, I probably should give them a try. Glad to hear they were so good!
Yes, the idea for supporting the charity is a fun one. The next anthology will be coming out this fall, but I haven’t seen the preorder up yet. Meanwhile, I’m catching up on the stories in these back issues that I skilled earlier. 🙂
