The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly  @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week, and showcase books and things we have received.

Don’t forget to look at my giveaways on the right sidebar.   Shine Giveaway ends tonight!

Sunday,  today flew by with visiting blogs, writing a couple of reviews, and having the chat about Shine.  After the chat, my daughter and I walked Lulu and Marley and ran into the neighbor and Abby.  Then we went right to couch cuddle time with the dogs to watch Deadpool 2.  We are trying to watch a few things before we cancel Hulu – Disney+ later this week when the deal we got last year ends.  The dogs seem to both want to be in my lap – they know I’m the leader of the pack!

Monday,  right after breakfast the other neighbor came to pick up Marley as they got home later last night.  It will be a quiet day here without Marley and a restful one for Lulu.  I have lots on my agenda this week, so we will see how it goes. So things went well today.  I blew the leaves in the back yard until the battery gave out and I realized the other battery was not charged. I pruned some plants and pulled some weeds.  I watered all the gardens and flowers and then disconnected the hoses and spray nozzles.  I started closing the ventilation flaps to the crawl space.  We were late walking Lulu.  The sunset was lovely.   The neighbor texted me that they found Clover but we didn’t see her today.

Tuesday, another warmish day right around 70.  I worked on the usual stuff until after lunch when we took Lulu to the vet to update 2 of her vaccines, then went to Aldi for a few items.  I did some research online for Christmas gifts. Then we walked Lulu.

Wednesday,  it’s rainy today, not heavily.  I spent a lot of time making calls about my daughter’s healthcare.  I ran over to Harris Teeter since a couple RX were ready.

Thursday,  another day at home. It’s chilly and will freeze tonight.  I’ll have to cover the lettuce and maybe the peppers.  I started out the day by sorting my socks, getting out some wool ones, and reorganizing the sock drawer.  In the process I found the cashmere cowl I thought was lost. I had some new ideas of who to consult on my daughter’s health insurance which looks like it will work.  My daughter had one doc appt this afternoon. We watched Deadpool 3.

Friday, I tried to get things done before the afternoon of medical appt and errands.  I want to do shopping now rather than during Thanksgiving week. Right before we left I found a new free clipboard tool since Clipboard Master has been acting so oddly.  It’s called Pasteboard. I set up the 5 or so standard texts I need.  We got our answers from the doctor on things that were confusing us on my daughter’s treatment.  It seems that she has a sinus infection, so a round of antibiotics.  UGH – she finally has a month with very few migraines and she gets ear and sinus infections that make her feel like crap.  We stopped at Dollar Tree, Aldi and Wegmans for a few things while we were nearby.

Saturday,  I did the usual stuff, visiting blogs, setting up posts, .  I’m trying to get everything done for December so that I can mostly read what I want in December, and get ahead on 2025 ARCs. I finished up some reviews.   Tonight I have to cover the lettuce and peppers again. The neighbor brought over Abby’s stuff since she will be staying with us next week.  Then the neighbor, my daughter and I walked Abby and Lulu together. I vacuumed the main floor.  Then I setup more posts. I was late to dinner to finish up an audiobook.

How do I do it?

  • So if you tag any users how are you handling it with all the different socials, possibly with different names?
  • Do you use @ or #?
  • Also on Bluesky do you have to add the .bsky.social to make it an actual tag? (I know some use other suffixes but this is the most common one)

If you have any tips for me, please comment.

Things I Learned This Week:

OK  if I’m asking for help, I’m also going to share the cool things I learn. You may already know them but hopefully it will help someone.

So with Bluesky becoming more popular, I want to send more there than just my blog posts, which I do through IFTTT to Buffer.  It’s convoluted but it works.  The only direct connects to Bluesky right now are through Buffer and dlvr.it.  Buffer has a free plan (it’s what I was using to share deals and freebies) but dlvr.it does NOT.

But I got the idea to find a Crossposter to Bluesky. (I’m so proud of myself on this one)   That’s one of those that takes a post on one social and sends it to the other.  (I used a Twitter to Mastodon one for awhile)  I googled it and after looking at a handful of options found what I wanted.   It’s a crossposter from Mastodon to Bluesky.   I had it setup in only a couple minutes and it works perfectly.  The only issue will be the occasional hiccups Mastodon has.    It not only will send over my blog posts but also the direct shares and the schedules I send from FS Poster.   (I use schedules in FS Poster to “revive” old blog posts 3 times a day, every 8 hours.)    I see this as a temporary thing until FS Poster imtegrates Bluesky.  But for others it might be more long-term.  You can find info on Sociabli HERE.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by  Reading Reality.  These are the exciting ARCs I received this week (If you click on the cover, it will take you to the Goodreads entry):

My huge thanks to Avon, Brilliance Audio, St. Martin’s Press,  Macmillan Audio,  Del Rey.

(If you click on the cover, it will take you to the Goodreads entry)

Book cover for The Dirty Duck by Martha Grimes

I bought this Chirp deal in a series I am collecting for $4.

I used 3 Audible credits to earn an additional credit.

Now the really scary one. This is all the Kindle and Audible freebies I grabbed this past week. You can see why I need to do Thrifty Thursday to be sure I read a few at least one each month.

Chirp Friday Freebies:

I really meant to cut back on freebies BUT  they are free so I guess that won’t be happening.

I’m not including things like reviews posted or upcoming as they are always in the right sidebar. And, my challenge status is also there.

  1. I’m sorry your daughter continues to struggle. Hopefully the antibiotics are starting to give her some relief.

I hope you have a great reading week!

  2. Sounds like you did get quite a bit done in the yard and house. Your poor kiddo catching the infections while free of the migraines. I can empathize since I’ve had an infection and bad cough most of the week, too. You have a regular dog sitting business going there. Way to go figuring out how to do your crossposts among all the social media. Always fun to see everyone’s Top 10 lists.

Have a lovely Thanksgiving Week, Anne!

  3. For sharing blog post I use Jetpack. They added other socials now so you can post to BlueSky, Mastodon, Threads, Facebook and more…

I love seeing the Top 10 Lists. I didn’t read much this year, so not sure if I’ll participate, but I do like to see what every shares. I love your book haul this week. I picked up a few of the Chrip freebies too. Happy Reading/Listening.

    Have a lovely Thanksgiving Week.

    • Thank you Angela. I was able to connect Jetpack to Facebook and Threads. Mastodon is glitching. I didn’t see a Bluesky option but possibly my version of Jetpack is not the newest. I know Threads and Mastodon weren’t there the last time I looked though, before I got FS Poster. Jetpack used to be the only tool I used and then it stopped working when Twitter started charging and they only allowed 50 shares a month.

Thank you. You have a Happy Thanksgiving!

  4. Yea for getting such done. I have been using Jetpack to share to Bluesky and it’s working great so far. I also use it for Facebook, so I know I’ll run up against the monthly limits. We’ll see how it goes.

I just started thinking about Christmas today and I have no idea what to get people. *sigh*

I’m really looking forward to the coming week and the holiday. I only work Tuesday, so it will be a nice week! Happy Thanksgiving!!

  5. My husband and I watched Deadpool 3 last week. I thought it was just okay. I didn’t love it as much as the other ones. Hopefully your daughter gets over her current infections soon. Being sick over the holidays would be miserable. I just started on bluesky and I am still not sure what to think.

  6. I need to start my christmas shopping online. And the new Feeney book looks good. It’s nice to visit you again and I hope you are well.

  7. I usually share my stuff manually, when I remember. I should look into auto cross posting. I think it would be different since I’m on Blogger, right? Sorry to hear that your daughter now has a sinus infection. Hope the antibiotics help clear it quickly! I haven’t been covering my lettuces with the freezes, but they’re in a semi protected area. My zinnias in the same area didn’t freeze like the ones out in the front lot. They’re frozen now, though, but my lettuces are doing well. My peppers froze. Not sure about the broccoli and cauliflower. I guess I should look that up. I’ve just been swamped with other things.
