This part of the Elemental World and Crimson Oath runs parallel with Dawn Caravan, which is Ben and Tenzin’s story. I read Dawn Caravan when it was released and went back and read a bit of it again when writing this review. Elizabeth Hunter did an amazing job of entwining the stories.
In Crimson Oath, Oleg is busy trying to locate Tatyana, as well as dealing with shipping issues. He narrows down the culprits but has to decide what to do. He also eventually finds Tatyana and decides to court her.
Tatyana has stayed as long as she can with the Fire King being trained by Kato. Now she has to find somewhere else. She decides to go on the kamvasa, which is the summer caravan of the Poshani people. They have three terrin (rulers) Radu, Kezia and Vano. Tatyana takes this time to relax, think about what she wants, learns to speak Poshani and befriends the human women who cook the meals.
Something is decidedly wrong as they come to the end of the season and the Vashana Zata. That only happens once every one hundred years. The three terrin may continue or new terrin may be chosen.
Tatyana notes that there are new guests Rene a French man, well known as a thief. Then Ben Vecchio and Tenzin arrive, who are also known as thieves. Oleg is also there courting her. Ben tells her to be watchful as things may be dangerous.
I really enjoyed Crimson Oath so much. Tatyana grew in her young vampire skills and worked to find a place where she would feel at home. She did not want to just go to Oleg and let him make all her decisions or be defined by him. I admired her so much. Oleg also showed some patience and maturity in spite of being used to being powerful and in charge. I felt better about them possibly becoming a couple. Now I’m very eager for more.

You should! She lives near you too I think sort of. Visalia? OK not really but you both are in CA. I would start at the beginning to really understand the worlds of each series.
