The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly  @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week, and showcase books and things we have received.

Don’t forget to look at my giveaways on the right sidebar.

Sunday, I have a long list. I have the same list as I had Friday with a bunch of things more. I made a new, organized list, grouping by type of task and highlighting today’s priority in green.  I may have to do some shorter, possibly less important things just to reduce the list to feel less overwhelmed.  But I made some progress today so I’ll feel better. I was busy and forgot to even eat lunch.  I didn’t cook dinner; we had what I call snack meal with cheese and crackers, apples, etc. Then I went back upstairs to try to do a couple hours of more tasks before bedtime. Usually I watch tv with my daughter after dinner.

Monday, I let myself sleep until I woke since I will have to get up extra early the rest of the week. I pushed through many tasks so I felt much more in control than I did over the weekend. I found out the latest version of FS Poster integrates to BlueSky so I’ll probably update mid September. I notified the giveaway winner and sent the prize. We walked Lulu.

Tuesday,  I didn’t lollygag as much today but still later than I will the rest of the week.  The temperature is definitely lower and the humidity is low and the dewpoint is low.  What a great week this will be! Abbey came over at noon and we had to leave by 12:30 for THE appointment.  We waited 18 months for this.  We got confirmation that my daughter is hEDS and she has 2 further appts for testing to see about any other designations. We picked up a Papa Murphys for lunch/dinner when we got home around 4. We did a little time in the office then we walked the dogs and fed them.  We had a salesperson come by to sell us new phones, and internet and it sounded like a good deal.  I hope I am not sorry because what we had is fine, but our phones are 5 years old.

Wednesday,  I get up earlier when Abbey is staying.  It was Lulu who barked this morning not Abbey but Lulu is not loud.   I took them out and picked peppers and finally we have a handful of green beans.  Then I made their food.  It’s the usual dance of trying to keep them separate although I am giving them the same food except Abbey gets kibble with hers because she is a bigger dog and needs more food than Lulu. Ok  I am checking more into the deal, and what I can get from my current wireless provider and am already sorry.  I really did not need to add more change and research to my schedule.  I need to get back and finish up the ebike stuff.  In the afternoon, we took Lulu to check out yet another new vet. Since we were right by my favorite garden center, we stopped and I got fall garden plants: lettuces, spinach and beets.   When we got home, after lunch, I taught my daughter to run the mower and she mowed the backyard. I raked the old leaves at the back of the yard into the compost pile. Then I planted the new plants and seeds for another basil plant.  She did a great job.  We walked the dogs and fed them.  Then I called about my order to confirm some things.

Thursday, I woke early.  I watered the new plants. I thought I would get more done than I did before my afternoon PT appt.  I spent a lot of time verifying things about the new Internet and phone plans.  After PT, I ran into Lowes Foods to use a gift card and get coleslaw which we use in tacos.

Friday,  I started by reading all the notes from the Tuesday appt. There didn’t seem to be anything that needed to go to the PT EDS my daughter sees until after the 2 additional appts. We went to her appt and then to Wegmans and Trader Joes. Then to Harris Teeter for Rx pickup.  We listened to Fugitive Telemetry by Martha Wells while driving every where and for maybe a half hour after we got home.

Saturday,  I took the dogs outside, and again.  Marley came over to say hi.  I picked some green peppers and more green beans. I shared some green peppers with the neighbor.  The plant is so tall and heavy with peppers so some branches are breaking off. The weather is amazing now.  Warm but low humidity.   I have the new Internet to install and phones but first today needs to be the ebike testing once my daughter wakes up. I setup some posts.  I finished up my posts for tomorrow. Then after lunch, my daughter helped me with the ebike.  We had to take the front wheel off again because the axel there were where some of those extra parts went.  It was tedious.  The fork was on crooked from the body of the bike so I had to fix it.  Then I put the battery back on and started it.  I walked it to a flatter spot in the road.  I started riding by pedaling and then the power took it faster.  I put on the brakes to stop it.  Then I went to the other side of the road. When I tried to pedal, the back pedal wouldn’t move so I got off and it shot off without me!  My daughter called it the worst bike ever.  We walked the dogs, enjoying the weather.    It’s going to be gorgeous all this week, around 80, with low humidity.

Things I Learned This Week:

OK  if I’m asking for help, I’m also going to share the cool things I learn. You may already know them but hopefully it will help someone.

I tried to set up Gleam for a Read-along post in September and found I couldn’t create more than one information collection entry like I use for the Read-along.  So I would have to buy it and it’s harder to set up than Giveaway Tools. Most of the entries are set to follow different social media.

I easily set up the September Giveaway for the Read-along in Giveaway.  I copied it and made a test version for a couple days to enter data and see that it would collect what I needed.  Then I created a Grand Prize Giveaway for the Read-along.  I tested making entries and tried to import a Rafflecopter export.  Everything would fill in perfectly but when I hit Submit on the import page nothing happens. Maybe I would have to buy the monthly fee version. But it lets me manually enter them, so that is what I will have to do for this one time.  But Giveaway Tools will work great for me and is free.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by  Reading Reality.  These are the exciting ARCs I received this week (If you click on the cover, it will take you to the Goodreads entry):

All my thanks to Harper Audio, Brilliance Audio,  Avon,

(If you click on the cover, it will take you to the Goodreads entry)

Book cover for Plan for the Worst by Jodi Taylor

I bought this for $5.99 at the Chirp sale.

Now the really scary one. This is all the Kindle and Audible freebies I grabbed this past week. You can see why I need to do Thrifty Thursday to be sure I read a few at least one each month.

Chirp Friday Freebie:

Book cover for Swipe Right for a Cowboy by Karen Foley Book cover for The Right Sort of Man by Allison Montclair Book cover for Sycamore by Craig A. Falconer Book cover for The Mauler by C. A. Gleason

I really meant to cut back on freebies BUT  they are free so I guess that won’t be happening.

I’m not including things like reviews posted or upcoming as they are always in the right sidebar. And, my challenge status is also there.

  1. I’m so glad you were able to have a good appointment with your daughter and confirm what she’s going through. Sorry about the ebike experience! It’s too bad they don’t come assembled already. For the first time I didn’t get a notification email about your post today and your post didn’t show up in the Reader. I have no idea what’s going on… I hope you enjoy your nice weather and have a good week:-)

  2. Happy Sunday. We packed up my son on Friday and he’s moved back to college. So now it’s back to “empty nesting” for my husband and me. The weather has been great here and we’ve been hanging out with the neighbors who are also empty nesters (for the first time). I’ve been trying to cross things off my to do list as well.

  3. Sorry the bike was a disaster!! That first picture of Lulu took me a moment to figure out! I thought it was stuffing! The weather here has been amazing and it looks to continue. Its super dry, and we could use a bit of rain, but the temperatures are in the upper 70’s!

  4. Lower temps and dew point has been so refreshing. I loved being able to leisurely work in the yard and garden and go for longer walks. Ahhh! That’s good that your daughter got the diagnosis and you had the research materials to help. Woohoo for the peppers and beans haul. As early as these fall temps are coming, I don’t think my peppers will be ready before frost kicks in this year- my fault, I put them in a month later because spring was late coming.
Yay you got the new Melinda Leigh. Just finished and it was another good one. Holy cow! That bike is a menace to you.

    Have a good week, Anne!

  5. That e-bike sounds like such a hassle! So frustrating. I hate when I think I’m getting something better like a phone plan and it ends up not being the exact best choice. Hope it will still be okay. You had a busy week too! I guess I’ll have to figure out giveaway tools if I ever do another giveaway after Rafflecopter is gone. Have a good week!

  6. Whew! It was a week of big appointments all around! I am glad that you finally had the appointment you have been waiting for. That had to have been a relief in itself. I am glad that you got the verification you needed.

  7. it’s so hard to find a good, reliable vet that doesn’t want to upcharge you for every little thing. I’ve taken Falcor to 3 different vets for 3 different things over the past 5 years.

  8. Thanks again for researching the giveaway options! I will try it soon. When I catch up. We left a day later from Texas than we planned and now I’m behind. Just got home this afternoon. I have reviews to write and post! Happy to hear the weather has been nice for you. Will the EDS diagnosis change your daughter’s treatments? Good to know exactly what you’re dealing with at any rate. That e-bike has been a nightmare! I hope you get it sorted because they are fun.

  9. Your veggies look wonderful – so fresh and healthy:)). As for the ebike – don’t get me started! I still cannot get my head around the fact that they are really expensive and yet come disassembled. And the assembly is NOT straightforward or easy! After our experiences with my sister’s bike, I’ve always sworn I’ll never get one… I was hoping that in the US, the service would be better!
