Leopold Berry grew up watching cheesy VHS tapes of adventures in Sunderworld. He thought it was just a story until a token a bus ride proved differently. Sunderworld is a real place and somehow there is a large mystery surrounding Leopold and magical artifact that was his father’s wedding band. We are just getting started […]
A woman returns from a humanitarian effort in the Near East, after a harrowing experience has left her feeling broken and she heads straight to the man who is her lodestone. I don’t really read in the horror genre but Kelley Armstrong is a favorite author. The description for Dive Bar at the End of the Road sounded more like a mystery. So I decided to give it a try. I found it easy to read, and really a bit campy. The various horror aspects didn’t […]

Vicki Delany’s cozy mysteries are not new territory for me, but this particular […]
The Two Rivers series continues with a murdered girl Lottie on holiday and her friend Hannah missing. The head of the team in Matthew, and his husband, Jonathon runs an art centre. There’s Jen who is a single parent of two teens. There’s Ross who is a favorite of Matthew’s boss, and is bucking to […]
Elves, Dwarves and Dragons oh my! Shadows of Legend is a the first book of the Dragonforged Saga, set in the same world after the events of the Legend of Tal series. While you do not have to have read any of the prior series to jump in and enjoy this book, there will be […]
I needed to figure out a way to start reading series where I am not current or the series is finished but haven’t read them yet. So it’s a way to commit myself to read my backlist, particularly series. Another police procedural series is the Rizzoli & Isles I want to read. I […]
