The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly  @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week, and showcase books and things we have received.

Don’t forget to look at my giveaways on the right sidebar.

Sunday, the morning routine went smoothly enough without barking. The end of August, and it has been hectic.  I look forward to graduating from PT this week because I don’t like the time all the appointments take away from home.  I’m doing blog visiting.  Then I’ll work on saving all my voicemails to audio files that I want to keep.  Mostly they are ones from my Mom. I finished up my menu plan.  You can tell I am lazy since 3 days we are having some kind of pasta, another day will be tacos. I decided to load up the new Internet. But then the neighbor came to pick up Abbey right after I connected everything but didn’t do the software work.  Abbey was happy to go home.  I finished up the Internet install and overall it was easy.  I connected my phone, laptop and printer, then my daughter did hers.  So we will see how it goes for a day or so before I cancel the other service. I setup some posts, edited and scheduled some.   I did get all the voicemails saved and deleted.

Monday, I took extra time this morning to change my sheets, wash my hair.  I watered the garden when out with Lulu. I did blog visiting and wrote a review.  I looked at the September audios for Libro and Simon & Schuster.    I’m finding posts can’t be shared to Bluesky this afternoon. I updated the linkys for COYER.  Then I helped my daughter upgrade to her phone.

Tuesday, I was slow to get up, but there is much to do today.  I still can’t do anything other than see Bluesky.  I sent an email to their support.  I signed some documents and the installer scheduled our solar install for Sept 16. Then we got a call which scheduled my daughter’s hospital test for Sept 19.  I canceled Google Fiber, reluctantly, but the new service is up and working well. We walked Lulu.  Then my daughter put the screen protectors on our new phones. I watered the front flowers and then also put Repel All so that hopefully the deer won’t eat them so we don’t get to see any flowers. The anemones and toad lilies are blooming. We watched The Thursday Murder Club and loved it!

Wednesday, I still can’t post to Bluesky in anyway. I tried more deleting of cache and cookies and browsing history and while I can see my feed I can’t post anything.   I moved on to my other tasks.  I did go in and change my bluesky handle to my domain name booksofmyheart.net.  Deleting all the history meant I had to re-login and connect with like 20 other websites and probably more when I go to them. I wrote a review.  Before bedtime, I tried to post to Bluesky again and it worked!  So hopefully that never happens again.

Thursday, I did some usual blog stuff and emails.  Then the cleaners came to do my daughter’s bathrooms.  I left then for my last PT appt, then I stopped at the Post Office and a BJ pickup.   After getting things put away,  I ate some lunch.  I figured out that I can’t manage thermostats on my phone now that I don’t have Google Wifi. Overall the new Internet and wireless has been smooth other than the stress. The Bluesky and now thermostat management are the bumps.

Friday,  I got a few things going but then Marley came over to stay for the weekend.  She’s such a good dog.  Now I’m working in the office with the dogs napping.  I visited blogs, set up some posts.  Then I entered all the entries from Rafflecopter for the Grand Prize for RA2025 into Giveaway Tools. Next I updated every post to include the Giveaway Tools entry form instead of the Rafflecopter giveaway.  We walked Lulu and Marley. I got most of the next week’s menu plan together.

Saturday,  I took  Marley and Lulu outside.  It’s a nice morning but will really heat up. We still have green beans, tomatoes and green peppers.  Something ate up the Swiss chard and something is after the new spinach plants.  I’ve been watering a bit because there has been no rain, but tonight it is supposed to rain into tomorrow. I went to pickup at Walmart. I figured out how to get the Google Nest routers out of the wall cages so I can return them. We took Lulu and Marley, and the neighbor asked us to take Abbey too because she is sick.  So we walked with light rain that stopped.  It is supposed to rain overnight.

My big thanks to Tantor Audio and Libro.fm, Tantor Audio,  Penguin Audio (2),

(If you click on the cover, it will take you to the Goodreads entry)

Purchased on Amazon for 99¢. Then got the Audible for $4.93.

Now the really scary one. This is all the Kindle and Audible freebies I grabbed this past week. You can see why I need to do Thrifty Thursday to be sure I read a few at least one each month.

Chirp Freebie Friday:

Book cover for Mandate of Heaven by Peter Martuneac Book cover for The Widow of Weeping Pines by Amanda McKinney Book cover for Fire Wolf by C.D. Gorri

I really meant to cut back on freebies BUT  they are free so I guess that won’t be happening.

I’m not including things like reviews posted or upcoming as they are always in the right sidebar. And, my challenge status is also there.

  1. Love all the photos of the dogs. And it sounds like it was a busy, stressful week with Bluesky issues and the new internet. I’m still having blog issues but will be switching over to Nose Graze hosting at some point.

  2. Not having our computer, device or media connections working stresses me out, too, but I don’t even run a blog like you do so that would be worse. Nice that the internet transition is going well ad the solar panels are one step closer. Glad both dogs had a good visit and you’re nearing the time for your PT to be up. Fun audios you got for review this week.

    Have a good one, Anne!

  3. You did have a really busy week! I didn’t realize you couldn’t check your Google thermostat if you didn’t have Google fiber. I have Google Fiber, but just assumed it would work with any wifi. Interesting. That’s nice of you to take Abbey since your neighbor was sick. I was so glad my friend came and got my dogs for me when I was in the hospital last weekend. And then kept them an extra two nights so I could get back to being able to take care of them and myself once I was home. I hope you have a good week!

  4. I am so sorry you had all thats tress with Bluesky and your internet Anne. And I love seeing all the dogs pictures, especially since mine died a few weeks ago.

  5. The dogs look lovely together:). And you have my sympathy regarding the Bluesky issues. I am so impressed that you are still getting so much veg from the garden. Your reading stats for August are really impressive – especially managing 9 of your own books – that’s an achievement. I hope the coming week is a good one for you:).

  6. I want to plant anemones in my garden. I saw them in Portland, Oregon and in Trinidad, CA and they’re so pretty! I’m so lazy about posting on Bluesky since I have to do it manually. I wish I had the button on my blog to share it automatically. I need to plant spinach. Your green beans look good! I have a print copy coming from Berkley for Blind Date with a Werewolf, but they have yet to approve my ARC on Netgalley. I buy the audiocopy for sure.

  7. OH YEA!! I’ve been waiting for the new Briggs book to make it’s way to the PRH audiobook app! I just downloaded it. My week was very quiet with both kids moved back to school and my husband traveling again. I was able to get some chores done around the house. Yesterday, my neighbor had to run an errand that was close to my daughter’s school, so I went with her and got to see my girl, too.

  8. August was a great reading month for you! Nice that your PT is coming to an end. Internet changes are always so stressful, even if it’s going to be an improvement in the end. Your green beans look so tasty!

  9. We are in full football mode at our house so this past weekend was lots of sports and good snack food. Plus, I tend to read more while football is on as I multi-task so hopefully that’s a win-win as well. Glad the internet switch went smoothly. I’m actually posting some non-horror reviews on the blog this week so hopefully you will find a bit more that interests you. I hope to pick up a cozy fantasy or two this month as well. The pups are cute as always. I’ll try to get some Apollo and Zekey pics added this weekend. Can you believe Zekey turned 2 in August? Hope you and your daughter have a wonderful week!

  10. I totally relate to having pasta 3 days in a row. Not the same meals exactly, but it’s been a couple of weeks of throwing greens and chicken in a bowl and calling it a salad. And I just recently just bought a new cookbook promising myself that I’ll cook all sorts of yummy food! I think you’re doing great, and you’re doing so much too! I love reading your weekly Sunday Posts and seeing how much you accomplish every week!

  11. I hate internet issues and hardware issues make it even worse! I love the pictures of the dogs. I hope you’re having a great week.
