The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly  @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week, and showcase books and things we have received.

Don’t forget to look at my giveaways on the right sidebar.

Sunday,  it’s a cold and rainy, snowy day, bordering on freezing.  Lulu woke me up a little early.  As usual, I’m hoping to do my visiting and then get on to some other tasks. No walk with the freezing rain.  I did spend some time creating new post setups.

Monday, when Lulu went out the ground was frosty.  I did the usual.  But first I was totally focused on the end of my audiobook.  I wrote that review.  At 3pm (which is when we have been walking lately) , Lulu came upstairs to me by herself and sat on her hind legs and looked at me.  So we bundled up and walked.  It was sunny and south wind so really not bad so we walked further. Lulu was ecstatic.  I made my list for tomorrow so I can remember things I need to do!

Tuesday,  today will get colder again.  I got an order from Walmart.  I did some investment work. I made appts for the next 2 days. I’m making my phone calls for things and doing my paperwork.  I broke and got the audiobook I wanted for January 27 even though I already have 10 things being released that day.  I may have lost my mind. We went with Lulu for a cool walk and saw Clover and Maggie.  I started making chili and cornbread for our dinner tonight with the neighbor and then we will play games.  Abbey barked so much that the neighbor took her home after dinner and came back to play the games. It was fun; we all like games.  My daughter is really good at them.

Wednesday, I woke at 5am.  I did the usual stuff.  The weather wasn’t too bad.  The contractor came by to measure all the windows. Marley came over to see me in the yard when I was out with him measuring. We walked Lulu.  My daughter didn’t come downstairs for dinner and then I fell asleep while waiting.  She was reading.  I was listening to my audiobook.

Thursday,  I did the visiting and emails again in the morning. I called Humana about whether nutrition consulting is covered and their OTC benefits.  My daughter got up finally and I took her for a haircut while I dropped off an Amazon return and got Rx and a couple items at Harris Teeter.  Then we walked Lulu.  It was supposed to be 60 but the north wind was cold. I read over information about long term insurance before the conference call later in the afternoon.  We talked long enough that my daughter left with the neighbor to go to the bar where they have game night.  I watched a couple episodes of West Wing since I was on my own and she doesn’t like it.

Friday,  lots to do before the freeze shutdown of next week.  I talked to the dentist. I changed our next dental appt timing so it wouldn’t be the week we are planning Mom’s funeral.  I’ll start planning our travel arrangements soon.  We may also go up to Minnesota for a couple days too.  I don’t think I’ve been back since 2017.  With Covid we just haven’t traveled. We walked Lulu and ran into the neighbor and Abbey.

Saturday,  it is colder just below freezing.  It will start with the freezing rain and snow in a couple hours and continue through tomorrow.  I’ve been visiting blogs, writing a review.  We took a short walk with Lulu and she need a sweater and a coat!.

none.

Now the really scary one. This is all the Kindle and Audible freebies I grabbed this past week. You can see why I need to do Thrifty Thursday to be sure I read a few at least one each month.

Chirp Friday freebie:

I really meant to cut back on freebies BUT  they are free so I guess that won’t be happening.

I’m not including things like reviews posted or upcoming as they are always in the right sidebar. And, my challenge status is also there.

  1. I don’t blame you for not walking Lulu when it’s freezing. Back when we had Diesel – he pulled me over twice when it was frosty. Luckily both times it was on the grass rather than the pavement, but the ground was still very hard. What fun having such a games night – we love playing games, too:)). Hope the coming week is a good one, Anne.

  2. It sounds like a busy week, that’s good you have been able to walk Lulu. The snow started by us around 6am this morning and is coming down steadily since so we can’t shovel yet. Otis can’t go outside and has to use the weewee pad for today. Enchanting the Fae Queen looks like a good one.

  3. We didn’t get any freezing rain this time, it was all snow for us, and really dry snow, so not bad thankfully. But we are having the frigid temps! I wish I had neighbors to do things with. I miss the neighbors I had up until last spring. We didn’t do things together or anything, but we would watch for packages for each other and keep an eye on each other’s houses at least. Now I feel kind of alone in my neighborhood. Oh well, that’s life I guess. I hope you are keeping warm and safe as the storm gets to you! Have a good week!

  4. That freezing rain is no fun. Poor Lulu. She loves getting outside! My cats go nuts when they’re stuck inside. Game night sounds fun and a perfect activity for this kind of weather. I have The Girls Before, too. I hope we both love it!

  5. Hopefully everyone stays warm and safe with the weather headed your way! I lived in Raleigh for several years and they just don’t really have a plan for ice/snow other than waiting for it to melt. We got a little over a foot of snow. Tomorrow the low is below 0. I’m not excited for that.

  6. We were lucky and didn’t get too much (I live in NC). Forecast said a lot more but the storm had other ideas. The roads are still pretty icy and dangerous, so everyone has work cancelled for Monday. Not gonna complain about that!

Hope you guys stay safe and warm!

  7. This weather is just ass! lol I’ve had to sweater up our dogs, too. The cold is bad enough, but that wind! Nasty! So many memories of Ohio. Thankfully the storm was not as bad as expected here. Whew! Hope you’re staying warm!

  8. I was so busy last week. I was busy with work and then in the car all day Thursday, driving to my sisters. I had a lovely but cut short, weekend with my mom and sister’s family. I drove all afternoon/night on Saturday to get home before the snow. We ended up with 18+ inches. Good thing I don’t have anywhere to be!

  9. The weather is terrible, and now, of course, we all have head colds. I hope things warm up soon for you. We won’t go above 31 over the next 10 days, and most days we don’t hit 20 degrees. Is it spring yet? My mom is having all sorts of issues with her insurance. We need universal healthcare for all. SMH.
