The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly  @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week, and showcase books and things we have received.

Don’t forget to look at my giveaways on the right sidebar.

Sunday,  I saw a new lily blooming in the backyard which is fenced and more safe from the deer. I did the usual visiting, along with some chores. I had yummy fresh green beans for lunch.  We walked Lulu and it was just a little more warm than I like but some breeze.

Monday, my daughter’s ears are still hurting but the ENT appt isn’t until next week.  Today has a north wind so I wanted to do yard work.  I mowed the front yard, along with putting the extra mulch I had around the tree in the front yard.  Then I used the scary hedge trimmer without injuring myself or others, and trimmed the two bush-trees on either corner of the front side of the house.  I was such a sweaty mess so then I showered for the second time today.  I let my daughter walk Lulu without me.

Tuesday, Happy 29th Birthday to my daughter. I picked probably the last of the spinach to have in my eggs.  I’m making the Tomato sausage Tortellini soup she wanted for dinner in the crockpot. Len is supposed to come today and trim the bush-tree tops that I can’t reach on my own with the hedge trimmer.  It’s a south wind, so hotter than yesterday. Len did an amazing job with the trimming. I prepared paperwork for meeting with the neurologist on Thursday. I gave my daughter a couple small gifts and luckily, she loved them. One was a guess and it turned out she had been wanting one. She then got me hooked on Project Runway.

Wednesday,  today is warmer but so far it’s not getting as hot as they projected and the humidity is low. I wrote a review. My daughter had a nutrition appt.  We walked Lulu and I found more deer munching.  I also remember I had some Repel all for when squirrels wanted to rip the patio furniture cushions.  It says it’s safe for plants so I sprayed all the plants outside the fence.

Thursday,  today was rainy most of the day.  I had a little time at home to do the usual things before we took off for my daughter’s neurology checkup.  We did want to ask questions about if she still needed certain medications because she’s now using one that works and also if the dosages should be any different since she has lost 50 pounds.  We may try reducing one of the medications after the ENT appt next week.  We got to meet the amazing nurse Katie who helped us last year and she gave us another month of samples of the Qulipta which is working well.  My daughter had no migraines at all in May.  She’s having only 2 or 3 days a month since she started the Qulipta and the abortive medications are working well to end the migraine that day.  We shopped for a few items at Wegmans and Trader Joes.

Friday,  Lulu woke me too early and I couldn’t get back to sleep.  My throat was a bit sore so I’ve been enjoying the tea all day. I sprayed with Repel All again since it rained yesterday.  My daughter and I cleaned up a bit since the neighbor and Abbey were coming over this afternoon.  She is teaching us to play canasta. They played awhile and then walked Abbey and Lulu. My bedside lamp has been flickering and then it wouldn’t turn on.  I got a new bulb for it but that didn’t work either.  So now I’m using my power outage / camping lantern.

Saturday, Lulu woke me but at least it was not as early. We were kind of relaxed and felt tired today.  The daylilies seem to be resilient, coming back a bit.  So I’ll probably get a few flowers. I looked at the options in the whole site Audible sale. This next week will be a hot one with medical appts every day but Friday.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by  Reading Reality.  These are the exciting ARCs I received this week (If you click on the cover, it will take you to the Goodreads entry):

Many thanks to Brilliance Audio(2), Harlequin Romantic Suspense,  Ace Books.

NOTHING  but there will be the Audible Site wide sale items next week.

Now the really scary one. This is all the Kindle and Audible freebies I grabbed this past week. You can see why I need to do Thrifty Thursday to be sure I read a few at least one each month.

Chirp Friday freebies:

I really meant to cut back on freebies BUT  they are free so I guess that won’t be happening.

I’m not including things like reviews posted or upcoming as they are always in the right sidebar. And, my challenge status is also there.

  1. I got the Kylie Gilmore freebie too! So glad the medication is helping your daughter with her migraines! I can’t believe she’s 29 years old! Happy birthday to her! I’m still waiting on my lilies to bloom. All the greenery is there, but no flowers yet. Sounds like a busy week with a lot of good things. Hope this week is good too! Oh yeah, Lulu is adorable! Dora will sit up like that, but not Argyle. I think he’s too long and skinny to do it, lol.

  2. Best wishes for your daughter’s b-day and congrats on the super weight loss work. Also good news the migraines haven’t been hitting. Hopefully your squirrel repellent will keep the deer away from your blooms. Good on you for not severing a limb (your own limb, that is) when doing the bushes. LOL

    Have a great week, Anne!

  3. It is frustrating when the deer munch on flowers. Hope your Repel works. I think our spinach is just about done, too. I shopped the Audible sale (as you know) and I may take another look before it ends tonight. I just requested the Patricia Briggs. I hope we get a new story in there and it’s not just the short stories we’ve already read. I’m looking forward to hearing more on Asil’s new romance! I hope your throat feels better!
