I chose this series after a poll and discussions with my team and several friends. The ebook or print are available at most libraries. The Edge and the last two Innkeeper audiobooks are at some libraries. The first four Innkeeper audiobooks are an Audible exclusive. The Edge series is more paranormal romance whereas Innkeeper is Scifi Fantasy. The series do have related characters and are in the same worlds.
I have read all the Edge series in ebook and on audio. The Innkeeper Chronicles I read as they were on the Ilona Andrews blog, but not since published. I own them all in at least two formats, and some in Graphic audio also, because this is my favorite favorite author.
You will have 4-5 weeks to read each book. There will be games, discussion, prizes, reviews and fun with each book. I will be collecting Q & A questions in the rafflecopters. The prizes will include some paperbacks, digital books, audiobooks, and gift cards through Amazon. Each giveaway will have both US and Intl prizes.
Here’s your to-do list:
- Find your copies of these books, borrow them from a friend, get them at the library or buy them. The first 3 Edge audios are currently in Audible Plus.
- Sign up to join the Read-along
- Enter the giveaways!

Yay! Looking forward to getting the Edge series on audio. Its been years since I read them and want some more George, Jack and Sophie!
So glad you’ll be joining us! With 2 related series I know some people will do one part or the other or both.
I’m totally looking forward to revisiting. It has been a few years.
Me too! I reread the Edge books about 6 years ago. The Innkeeper I read as they were released as serials but I’ve never read or listened to the books I bought when they released. I am pretty sure I have Innkeeper in ebook, audio and GA. I have Edge in ebook and audio. So I’m all set for the Read-along!
Ilona Andrews is one of my most favorite as well! Super-duper looking forwards to this!
My favorite favorite too. I am thrilled to have you join us.
Right!!! They are my Favorite UF writers. I try to reread at least 1 of their series every year now. Sometimes I fit more in.
I am signing up and will add to my schedule… and will plan to try and keep up. I listened to audiobooks of the Edge. I don’t do the serials on IA’s website, but I read the ebooks of all Innkeepers, and listened to both the regular and Graphic Audio of books 1-5.
Thanks so much Jen. I fixed the dates. April got juggled a bit since the first time I just went with the 3rd Friday or whatever, it landed on Easter weekend I think. I’m so excited to have you join us and hope you will be part of the chats. That is another reason I am excited for the Read-along even though I have read all the books previously.
I’m so excited for this read along! I just looked to see if I had the audios for The Edge series and you’re able to add them into your library without purchase for the first three. Not sure about the 4th because I own it. So they must be in the Audible Plus catalog. That would be nice for people to know if they want to join the read-along. I read/listened to them several years back.
Thank you Rachel. I will add that to the post now. I checked this yesterday when I was working on the Pacing schedule, so I can mention it again there. I own all of them but noticed they are in Audible Plus right now. The first 3 are Tantor and the 4th one is Recorded Books. I know that because of the prize audios. My contact at Tantor got permission from RB to give away the 4th one. I’m thrilled you will join us and love having you on the chats also.
Looking forward to it!
Janie, I am so happy to hear you will join us.
It is going to be fun. I haven’t reread the Edge Series for a few years but it will be fun to see George Jack and Sophia again. I also am looking forward to relistening to Innkeeper on Graphic Audio. Looking forward to seeing everyone else here.
I don’t know if you want to do the online chats but they are fun and only an hour. We use Google Meeting now and then there is a Facebook messenger chat which opens following the Meeting Chat. You need to join the COYER facebook group to access the events but you don’t have to join COYER or do any of their other activities.
I’m not on Facebook…reasons. I’d join the google meeting though if there was another way to invite me to it.
OK I’ll see if we can figure that out.
I love the Innkeeper Series so much. Both are good though!
I really love both also. The Innkeeper is newer with a touch of scifi so probably I like it more. The PNR is older but it has the IA excellence.
Oh this is marvellous!! I love, love, LOVE the Innkeeper series, but had no idea about The Edge series. So I’ve just nicked across to Audible and got hold of the first book, which is on the Catalogue Plus listing:)). Thank you for an early Christmas present to myself!! I would join in the read-along in a heartbeat, but I don’t know if I will be able to do so and don’t want to commit or put myself under any sort of pressure.
Sarah. I would be thrilled to have you join us. There isn’t any real pressure and you have a full month to read each book. You don’t have to join the online chats (Google meeting or FB messenger) but we’d love to have you. I encourage you to sign up and enter the giveaways because we have some great prizes. People read at their own pace. Some get ahead or fall behind but it’s not like anyone keeps track.
I need to read more Ilona Andrews. lol. They have SO much content though!
I hope you will read with us, even if it’s only one of the two series! IA is my favorite.
I am definitely in for this one too!
That’s awesome. I love to have you join us.
I finally got around to signing up for the readalong, Anne, and I’m so excited! I’ve read the first 2 books in the Edge series but none of the Innkeeper series. However, Ilona Andrews is one of my favorite authors (duo) of all time so I’m so stoked to be a part of this readalong!! 🙂
Thanks so much Brandee. They’re my favorites and I’m always excited to revisit them. I own them in multiple formats so I have options.
So I’m going to sign up and start this, we’ll see if I get into the books on whether I continue or not. But can’t wait to start the first one!
I’m thrilled to have you join us Lisa. The first 3 Edge books are in Audible Plus right now. Also realize that it’s 2 series. The Edge is 4 paranormal romance books and the Innkeeper is more scifi fantasy. The Edge is 10 years old and the Innkeeper is much newer. If you don’t end up liking the Edge books please try at least the first Innkeeper book. They are in the same world and some characters go forward into Innkeeper but it’s not a tight connection.
I don’t have Audible Plus right now, paused the paying membership. So I am hoping to find them in the public library, which I found the first one of The Edge there, so I’ll be ready to go! And I’ll keep that in mind for the second series if I don’t end up finishing the first series.
Okay I accidentally signed up again with my challenge post because I forgot I already signed up. Can you delete my first link?
yes no problem
Looking forward to this!
I’m excited to have you join us. The two series are different but set in the same world. The first is older, 10 years old, more PNR. The second half with Innkeeper is more scifantasy. I hope you love them.
I’m not a re-reader but these books are so good! I can’t wait to enjoy them again this year!
I just checked it will be my 3rd read. 2011 – paperback, 2021 audio, and now 2025. But Innkeeper I have mostly only read on the Ilona Andrews blog so it will be a treat to read the whole book all together along with the other books. Thanks so much for joining us.
I’m looking forward to this! The Edge novels look interesting, and I loved the first Innkeeper novel. I’m looking forward to rereading it, and finishing the whole series.
PS – the link in the Rafflecopter that should go to Ilona Andrews’s Facebook page goes to the Dannika Dark page instead. Is Dark a pen name for them?
Glad to see you on board. Thanks for letting me know. That’s a goof.
