This is a new feature I developed where each month we will look at our favorite – the best – series in a genre or topic.
I’m doing something different this year. I’m going to highlight series by favorite authors. I chose the authors based on being some of my favorite authors and having multiple series. Some authors I love only have one series or one series with a bunch of spin-offs. I’m sharing the series I have read.
Penny Reid is a favorite author and writes some of my favorite series. She writes contemporary romance. There are Smartypants Romance series which are written by other authors in the Winston Brothers world, which I have not included here.

Winston Brothers is a spin off from Knitting in the City series. Solving for Pie and Good Folk are spin-offs from the Winston Brothers.

I read all types of books but my favorites are urban fantasy and romantic suspense.I like some romance and some action / adventure / mystery in everything.I like sex in my books but please, only between TWO people.Intimate conversation is equally important to the sex in a book.It lets me see the characters.The other thing I enjoy is humor.

I believe I have all the books in the first two series. Really hope I can at least start this year.
They are awesome. I should do a Read-along. It’s the one contemporary romance I would do or Jill Shalvis” Lucky Harbor series.
I see the Winston Brothers books around a lot. I’d be interested in that series, I think.
It’s amazing. I recommend it. But I’d probably start with Knitting in the City.
Penny Reid is an author I have long-meant to try. I’ve gotten several of her series starters as freebies, too.
I’ve enjoyed all her books I have read. It really all starts for me with Knitting in the City and Winston Bros which are connected series. I suppose I should do a Read-along but I haven’t done one for a contemporary romance series.
I have the Winston Brothers series on my TBR but all of them look really fun.
I’ve read almost everything and loved it. I would read Knitting in the City and then into Winston Bros since they are connected.

I haven’t read the Dear Professor series, need to get those read. I feel like occasionally there might be a mention of something to do with the Hypothesis series in the Winston or KITC series, but no crossover of characters. And of course there are connections in the SmartyPants Romance books too! And I’ve also started her Rugby series that she co-wrote with LH Cosway. Love Penny Reid, she is also one of my favorite authors!
Same! I own but haven’t read the Dear Professor books. I also have as a freebie at least one of the books with LH Cosway.
