The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week, and showcase books and things we have received.
Don’t forget to look at my giveaways on the right sidebar.
Sunday, there was rain, some heavy, overnight. It’s wet and cloudy today. I fed Lulu and Marley taking them outside. Marley didn’t eat though Lulu did. I started on Sunday visiting, emails, and editing / scheduling some posts, wrote one review. Marley went home. So I decided I needed a few things, plus I needed to return the Google Nests. So my daughter and I went to Cary to do the return and get a few things at Trader Joes. On the trip I got her listening to Innkeeper Chronicles which she loved. (Clean Sweep graphic audio) We were so excited because Trader Joes had the gluten free pumpkin ravioli. We emptied the shelf. It’s only available for 4-6 weeks. And I just told her to go see if they had it yet – I’m so smart. I don’t know how I thought of it but I’m pleased with myself. Then I got her to load Hoopla on her phone so she can listen to more of the Graphic audio books with me and we can play them on our Roku tv too.
Monday, I slept in a bit and took my time with my morning tasks. I got out the ebike and took a bunch more photos for my brother’s article. The weather was so lovely and we walked Lulu.
Tuesday, after a few tasks we went to a doctor appt for my daughter. We were looking at her weight loss and whether she needed a medication she has been taking. After the weight loss, she is not having muscle pains. We listened to Clean Sweep on the way there and back. We each did a bit more office stuff when we returned. I did a screen mirror to put my audiobook player on the Roku so we could finish listening to Clean Sweep while we got dinner.
Wednesday, I was up for 2 hours during the night, so I woke up slightly later. It was lightly raining. The garbage and recycle trucks have already been though and the TruGreen people already were here to treat the crepe myrtle. I spent about an hour on the phone with Google to connect the ATT wifi to Google Home App and then reconnect the devices and reenter my schedules. Luckily I took photos of the schedules when everything was still working.
Thursday, I went to bed earlier and got up later this morning. I did the usual blog visiting, and emails. My daughter did some homework. Then I took her to the neighborhood pool to try it since we have lived here 6 years and haven’t gone. She was the only one there, and swam a bit. It closes Sunday. We had a nice walk with Lulu.
Friday, I tried to get going quickly since my daughter had a medical appt in the afternoon. I worked on the menu plan to prepare for errands following it. Next week will be a bit hectic with the solar install and a complex medical test to further determine which EDS types she has. OK so next week won’t be the solar install, they just called to tell me the permit isn’t completed. After my daughter’s appt, we went to Wegmans and then to Ulta. It was 4:30 by the time we got home and I was starving for lunch. Then we walked Lulu. I stayed up a bit late reading.
Saturday, I’m doing the usual blog visiting and editing / writing reviews.
The weather continues to be fabulous, right around 80F/ 27C most days with north winds and moderate to low humidity. We are only getting rain about once a week so I should be doing a bit more watering than I have been. I also need to do the fall weed n feed this week but after the rain day.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Reading Reality. These are the exciting ARCs I received this week (If you click on the cover, it will take you to the Goodreads entry):
Many thanks to Tantor Audio.

(If you click on the cover, it will take you to the Goodreads entry)
NONE.

Now the really scary one. This is all the Kindle and Audible freebies I grabbed this past week. You can see why I need to do Thrifty Thursday to be sure I read a few at least one each month.

Chirp Friday freebies:

I really meant to cut back on freebies BUT they are free so I guess that won’t be happening.

I’m not including things like reviews posted or upcoming as they are always in the right sidebar. And, my challenge status is also there.

Ha, yes, you’re training her right to get her to enjoy the Innkeeper Chronicles. 🙂 And, fun, that your seasonal pumpkin GF ravioli was there for you. That is also good news that your daughter’s weight loss helped to need less of the medication.
And, wow, you hit the bonanza on free ebooks and audios this week. Cute pic of Lulu sprawled out.
Have a good week, Anne!
Thank you Sophia. yes one of the things I have been doing for a few years is trying to reduce medication once something is working. It seems like even when they try new things they keep the old things going and it’s so many medications. There were some authors I have long enjoyed in the freebie finds this week.
I know Trader Joe’s has so many seasonal things right now. I am going to try and get to one soon. They are all at least a 45 minute drive from my house, so I don’t go that often. We have thunderstorms later this week, but its been a very dry summer. Have a good week!
We enjoy Trader Joe’s since they have some gluten free staples not available elsewhere we have enjoyed. We are about 30 minutes from one but are often in that area for medical appts.
Sweet Lulu💜 How wonderful that you and your daughter listened to an audiobook together! I did that once with my niece and remember how bonding it was.
Have a great week, Anne!
Thanks Jonetta. We’ve been enjoying Murderbot Diaries and now Innkeeper Chronicles on the long car rides to medical appts. Those both have a bit of a scifi aspect and that is something we both like as well as their humor. Really she needs to listen to White Trash Zombies next.
Lulu looks so cozy sleeping. I love Trader Joes, I will have to check out the gluten free pumpkin ravioli. I’m loving the weather right now too.
Lulu takes advantage of sleeping whenever she can. But she is very active and loves her walks too.
Love the pics of a snoozing Lulu! And how lovely that your daughter now enjoys listening to The Innkeeper Chronicles with you. Have a lovely week, Anne:).
Thank you Sarah. My daughter and I like those scifi tales with humor. We listened to Murderbot first.
I’m excited for your solar install! I hope they can get started soon. I love Graphic Audio versions. I know some people find them annoying, but I think they are great!
Thank you Samantha. I was disappointed it wouldn’t be this week also. But it looks now like Tuesday will be heavy rain and it would have been postponed anyway.
I love Jennifer Ashley. She has some great paranormal romance books. Lulu is very cute.
Thank you Mary. I also like Jennifer Ashley. I ‘ve read mostly her historical mysteries and urban fantasy books but I have collected some of the others now so I will have a chance to try them.
Sounds like a busy but not too bad week. I’m jealous of the rain and 80 degree temps. We got up to the 90s this week! Nice to finally get to try out the pool. Maybe next summer you’ll go visit more? Love the pictures of sweet Lulu.
Thank you Lisa. It was a bit less hectic and that was a good thing.
It’s exciting to get someone turned onto a series you love! Glad your daughter is enjoying it. I need to listen to our next in the line this week. We’ve had some milder temps this last week, too and it’s been glorious! I love Trader Joe’s but I now have to drive 35-40 minutes to get to the closest one. We stock up when we go.
Thanks Rachel. Our distance to Trader Joe’s is about the same so we also stock when we go. Sweep with Me is shorter so it should be easier to fit in your schedule before the weekend.
Your freebies look really good. I hope you enjoy them. Have a great week!
Thank you Yvonne. Some of those freebies are authors I already know and love.
Good luck with the medical test! Sounds like maybe the delay on the solar install might make things a bit less hectic, but still, here’s hoping everything fits in and goes smoothly.
Thank you Nicky. It is giving us more open schedule days this week which isn’t all bad. I’m disappointed not to get started on solar yet though.
Good luck with the upcoming test for your daughter – I hope they provide some great insight. Have a great week ahead.
Thank you Jodie. I just hope we can get up that early and get over there!
I wish we had a Trader Joes around here. I always feel like I’m missing out on delicious things! 🙂
Hey stranger! We like Trader Joes because they some gluten free things we can’t get elsewhere.
That’s awesome you got your daughter to listen to the GA’s for Innkeeper Chronicles. I love it! Great book/audiobook haul. Happy Listening/Reading. Have a great week.
Thank you Angela. I’m just glad she likes them. I tried years ago to get her to read Written in Red by Anne Bishop. She finally read it and then read it 28 times! So I guess I know a little about what genres she likes.
Afternoon appointments always make my day feel chaotic for some reason. Yay for the pumpkin ravioli! I’ve heard their gluten free pastas are really good. I want to read The Innkeepers series – and Ilona Andrews in general. Have a great week!
Thank you Katherine. We tend to do afternoon appts because my daughter sleeps in the morning as she sometimes doesn’t sleep well during the night. For me, I can get some basic things done before we’re out and about. Well this year’s Read-along was Edge and then Innkeeper. I wish you could have joined us. We just have 2 books left now Sweep With Me and Sweep of the Heart. They are so good.
Your weather does sound nice. I hope the medical tests and the solar install go well this week. It’s mostly work and running Maggie to her rehearsals all week for me. She has an ortho appointment I need to get her to as well. I can’t wait to read Sweep the Heart next month. I’m tempted to start early, but we’ll see. It’s not like I don’t have plenty else to read. LOL Have a good week!
Thanks Wendy. We are actually having a quieter week since the solar install was postponed to next week. We still have the big test on Friday but the other days we can mostly stay home and work on things. I’d like to read Sweep of the Heart too but I at least have to wait until after this weekend and the Sweep with Me chat. I’m easing the wait a bit by starting from the beginning with my daughter. We’re halfway through Sweep in Peace. The weather is fab but we aren’t getting the projected rain. I’ll need to water some.
Nice catch for the freebies! They all look like good ones.
Thanks . I try to heavily scrutinize the freebies and only take them if I really think I would read them. Some are authors I usually read in this batch.
Oh Lulu, you are so cute. I just want to scratch that belly!
I started a new fitness class last week (I’ll be talking about in my Friday post) – Tai Chi. I’m looking forward to learning more. We’ve had pretty nice weather here, so no excuses not to get in my walks!
Lulu definitely has the cute and scruffy down pat. Our weather has been wonderful, too. I hope the class works well for you.
I have never been to Trader Joe’s. I don’t think they even have them in Canada, but I’m curious about them! It’s good to hear that your daughter isn’t having muscle pains anymore and might be able to reduce a medication, hopefully that will be the case for her!
Thank you Haze. yes I really think Trader Joe’s is an American thing.
