The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly  @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week, and showcase books and things we have received.

Don’t forget to look at my giveaways on the right sidebar.

Sunday,  I was lazy this morning and did some reading. I took the changed medication at bedtime and already I feel better and have dropped 2 pounds since yesterday.  (Gained 5 pounds within 2 days of starting the other med).  I did my usual Sunday visiting.  Then I spent some time going through all my different things I might want on Audible.  I looked at series I am interested in reading.  Some things are at the library but will they be at the library later?  So I bought some things that were $2-4.  My daughter decided against walking because it is so hot.

Monday, I’m feeling more like myself. I got out early to do some weeding and mow the backyard.  I have the usual laundry stuff, emails, blog visiting. I got a review written.

Tuesday,  I had a mammogram and bone density test.  I came home to do the usual. I didn’t water because the radar showed lots of rain.  We got lots of wind and dark sky but no rain.

luluWednesday, the morning was cooler with a north wind. I went to the dentist and it wasn’t too bad.  Now hopefully the pain isn’t too bad.  I have to go back next week for them to remove the stitches. Then the last step will be next January.  Ok  I felt tired enough to lay down and right before dinner I was miserable with pain. So I took another pain pill a bit early.  I took another at bedtime and slept well.

Thursday,  the pain seems to be over so I didn’t take any pain pill this morning.  I’m going to try to catch up on the things I spaced on doing yesterday. I did minor editing on my daughter’s paper. I did the usual visiting and emails.

Friday,  today my daughter has her surgery, it’s to remove a small skin tag on the roof of her mouth. It was quick and she wasn’t in pain.  We did stop at HT to get the prescription mouthwash for her to use, and she got some sushi since they have a deal on Fridays.  I wrote my review before dinner.

Saturday, my daughter woke up in night to take some pain meds.  My daughter is interviewing this morning for a dog care gig in September.  She also has more pet care lined up with new people at the end of the month which might be a 3 days a week gig. I really need to water as I’ve been lax all week not feeling good and this week will be extreme heat. I did some more setups for posts.  This is the last week of my daughter’s classes before a one week break.  It will also be extreme heat all week.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by  Reading Reality.  These are the exciting ARCs I received this week (If you click on the cover, it will take you to the Goodreads entry):

None.

Cocktails & Chloroform/Schemes & Scandals Audiobook By Kelley Armstrong cover art

I purchased 25 audio books for about $70 at the Audible sale.  They were all $2-3 except Outlaw Planet was $6. I did also buy many Anne Perry books where the narrator is Davina Porter. Then I decided I should I should get the old ones in the Inspector Wexford series by Ruth Rendell.  They are not all the same narrator but I got the originals that are available with Davina Porter and Nigel Anthony. That was another 7 audiobooks for $20.

Now the really scary one. This is all the Kindle and Audible freebies I grabbed this past week. You can see why I need to do Thrifty Thursday to be sure I read a few at least one each month.

I really meant to cut back on freebies BUT  they are free so I guess that won’t be happening.

I’m not including things like reviews posted or upcoming as they are always in the right sidebar. And, my challenge status is also there.

  1. Hope you and your daughter are both feeling better this week what with her surgery! I kinda wish I lived closer so I could hire your daughter to help me with my dogs! I’m just worried now with having an extra hour of work on the days we work. I mean occasionally I would not go home right away, make stops on the way home that made it that long they were home alone, but it wasn’t every day. Our temps have been so miserable, but supposed to be a little better this week, more normal, which is still always warmer than I prefer. Have a good week!

  2. Sounds like a tough week with all the medical procedures. I hope you both heal quickly. And I’m glad you’re feeling better with the new medication. Gaining and losing weight that fast makes me suspect the previous medication was making you retain water.

Take it easy in the heat. We’re only looking at 88-92 for highs here, so it could be worse, but it’s about as humid as it can be without actually raining. I’m spending as much time indoors as I can.

  3. I purchased the remaining DDC audiobooks in the sale. Two of them I used credits and then got the bonus credit! So all good.

I hope you and your daughter are feeling better post surgery. We are still on a watering restriction here due to drought conditions, but it’s not been hot, so that is good.

I hope you have a good week ahead!

  4. I’m so sorry you were miserable with the tooth pain and the heat this week. You’re impressive how you power through that sort of thing. That sale was a good one. I love Davina Porter for the Anne Perry narrator, too.

    Have a good week, Anne!
