This is my fourth year in the Library Love Challenge. As a host, I didn’t do a post with a goal but on the Goodreads group, apparently I set a goal of 100 library books. I have a total of 103.
I use my library extensively for all formats. I take the opportunity to read or listen to earlier books in a series when I am catching up, to try out new series, or for non-fiction research. I read and listen to quite a few but often don’t review them here on the blog. It was reduced in number by my reviewing more new release audiobooks and a trial of Kindle Unlimited.

I can't really remember any time when I wasn't reading. I LOVE books and what they give me. It's an opportunity to learn new things, see new places,live different emotions in a "safe" way. It lets me live in a new world.
I read all types of books but my favorites are urban fantasy and romantic suspense.I like some romance and some action / adventure / mystery in everything.I like sex in my books but please, only between TWO people.Intimate conversation is equally important to the sex in a book.It lets me see the characters.The other thing I enjoy is humor.

You had a fantastic year of library reading and listening even with the new releases, KU, and from your shelves. I’m in the middle of KU promo so I’ve been tucking into those a lot during the last few weeks that I give myself to go off ARCs and read just for fun and interest. But, seeing all the savings with your list reminds me why I really need to hit the library shelves more often than I do.
Ha, forgot about your Victoria Thompson binge earlier this year. I use the library to binge on older series, too.

Thanks Sophia! I try hard to use my library and not buy things unless I know I really want them or can’t get them other ways. There are some series I love which I choose not to buy because I know they will be at the library long-term. But I still bought some Agatha Christie and Harry Potter on audio, even though I am sure they will be at the library. Yes Victoria Thompson was my new foray into historical mysteries.

Sounds great. I hit my goal for the challenge, but I wanted to do so much more. 2020 took a toll on me with many reading slumps. So glad to see someone hitting this high numbers in this challenge.

I really do LOVE my library. I especially use it to catch up on books in a series I haven’t read, or sometimes new things I don’t get for review.

Well I use all digital format from the library and that was right in line with staying home this year. So I didn’t have to change any of my routines.

I’ve been a library lover since before I went to school. It’s such a great and necessary resource. Digital has made it even easier to utilize.
Yes – reading the amazing savings you made over the year reminds me all over again why we MUST get to grips with borrowing ebooks from our local library! I know it’s a thing – we just haven’t bothered to sit down and sort it out. Meantime, huge congratulations on achieving your very ambitious challenge and saving so much money!
When I see sales and Audible daily deals, etc I always check first to see if they are at the library before I buy them. It’s tricky because sometimes they aren’t there long-term only a year or two when new. That’s the downside of digital. But other things like Agatha Christie or Harry Potter books are going to be there. But beloved favorites I often want to own / collect. But my favorite series like Kate Daniels, Mercy Thompson, Cat & Bones, Harry Dresden, were all read through the library before purchasing them. In fact, the first 3 were read in paperback. I almost never do print anymore.
