Sunday, February sure flew by. I’m just glad to have the garden planted and up to date on my reading reviews. This week we need to order the cap / gown for my daughter’s graduation. I’m doing the blog visiting and some planning. I went down the rabbit hole looking at audios included with Audible Plus and found lots I would like to read. Sigh. I also figured out that Hexed, the FB chat is scheduled for Easter. So I’m going to move things up a week.
Monday, I worked on a bunch of planning today. I got setup to write reviews and setup some meme posts. Where does the time go? So many little chores and Lulu and I took a medium walk. I got my Walmart order put in for pickup tomorrow after doing the menu plan for the week. The front pulmonaria is blooming in 2 colors now. The Lenton Rose in the front planter is a burgundy color and blooms during the winter every year. The backyard pulmonaria variety is just blue but behind it the Lenton Rose I planted last fall is blooming now with white blossoms.
Tuesday, I got a few things done before the dog walking. Our neighbor has injured herself so we offered to walk them again later. Lulu and I went to pickup a salad at Wendy’s because we had a coupon (boy they were out of lots of things) and then to do our Walmart pickup. I planted my pansies in the two front pots. I did some visiting and got to work on writing some reviews. Then someone came to get the boxes I had piled up in the garage. We walked the dogs again. After dinner, we ordered my daughter’s cap and gown for graduation.
Wednesday, I woke up in a panic because I hadn’t checked my car insurance renewal terms. But it was ok, the amount was as expected and I have it set up to autopay. Whew. I got an email in January and called my agent but they said it was too soon to get the details and then I forgot about it until today. It’s going to be a “barnburner” day. We are walking with the dogs, then we have to go over to the college to pick up special tassels for graduation, then there’s the vet, chiropractor and Aldis. In between I called to talk to the pharmacy about Rx to pickup and called both car dealerships for the 3rd week in a row to try to get an estimate on maintenance.
Thursday, another day with so many things. We walked the dogs in cloudy, threatening to rain weather. Then it is ARC day! Seriously a deluge of ARCs I have been waiting for have been approved for me. So that kept me busy creating post setups for them. I ran to Harris Teeter to get our RX and a few sale items. I rechecked everything again for the Read-along post tomorrow.
Friday, ugh I could maybe get more done if I didn’t keep going down the rabbit hole. I noticed my posts have not gone from Twitter to Mastodon since the beginning of February so I set them to go direct from the RSS feed. Since dlvr.it only allows 2 socials for free, it will be sending to blog Twitter and blog Mastodon. I’m using IFTTT to go to personal Twitter and the blog facebook page. Apparently the crossposter Mastodon – Twitter shut down early in February. I’ve been enjoying all the posts and reviews on Hounded today. I got some of my review audios set up on my phone for listening. I got the meat into a marinade before dinner. I prepped the french bread for tomorrow night. Then Lulu and I took our long route walk.
Saturday, I’m enjoying reading the reviews of Hounded. Grr for the second day my posts didn’t email and I had to trigger it. And I hadn’t connected my dlvr.it properly either so now that’s done. I did more work to make sure I have everything and know how I’m getting applications back to my regular computer before the repairs start. I did more computer prep on the crash computer and to make sure I can run well on the backup computer. The standard dwarf bearded iris has its first bloom of the season. Lulu and I walked a longer route. I made clam chowder and the french bread. Tomorrow we go to the NC Art Museum for my daughter’s art history class in the morning and the Hounded FB chat is in the afternoon.
February Reading: I had another good reading month. I managed to read 28 books. Audiobooks continue to help me read more. Some count for more than one challenge. I listened to 18 audiobooks, read 10 library books, 28 COYER reads, and 6 books which I already own.

I picked up this Audible Daily Deal for $1.99, then realized it is in KU with audio included.
I purchased 2 titles in the 2-1 credit sale at Audible that ended on Thursday.
Now the really scary one. This is all the Kindle and Audible freebies I grabbed this past week. You can see why I need to do Thrifty Thursday to be sure I read a few at least one each month.
I really meant to cut back on freebies BUT they are free so I guess that won’t be happening.
I’m not including things like reviews posted or upcoming as they are always in the right sidebar. And, my challenge status is also there.

I read all types of books but my favorites are urban fantasy and romantic suspense.I like some romance and some action / adventure / mystery in everything.I like sex in my books but please, only between TWO people.Intimate conversation is equally important to the sex in a book.It lets me see the characters.The other thing I enjoy is humor.

Thank you. Rachel, the after chat is in Messenger but the live chat is a Facebook room. It looks like Zoom. You can still shield your face or mute your voice or whatever. All you need for it is facebook not messenger. You do need to join the COYER facebook group though
Okay! I’ve sent in a request to join the chat but haven’t heard back yet. I may not get into the Hounded chat. We’ll see.

Thanks, Tammy. I really like how I can be outdoors year round in NC. Minnesota was an outdoor place but it could get really cold and the growing season was so short.
That’s so wonderful that you are gardening already. I’ve started repotting some things, and it feels so nice.
That’s something I love about living here is the long gardening season. A lot of the perennials rebloom like daylilies, and SDB iris, too.
Whew! Your running around day was busy. Interesting about the two-colors on the plumeria- I’ve heard soil and light changes can do that to some blooms. Sounds like you did great getting caught up on the reviews and set ups. Hope the cross post issues untangle.

The ARCs all came at once this week.
I had noticed mid-Jan that the crosspost from twitter to masterdom stoped and so I found Mastodon Autopost for the blog. It’s a wordpress free plugin. https://wordpress.org/plugins/autopost-to-mastodon/ It’s worked great for me.

We’ve been fortunate with weather and only had rain about once a week and it didn’t last all day. Thanks for sharing the autopost to Mastodon. I don’t do mine through WordPress because I have it hosted with Ashley and she has to load any plugins. So mine are external apps that pick up the RSS feed.
Your flowers are lovely – I love the pansies, but find them rather frustrating to grow. We use them as winter annuals in this country, but I always find that when it gets cold, they tend to sulk and then promptly spring back to life when Spring comes round and I’m wanting the space for the daffodils and crocus! Your iris is beautiful… Our garden is an absolute jungle, having been completely neglected since autumn 2020 and it’ll have to stay that way until I’m a lot better. Have a good week, Anne:)).
Thank you Sarah. I love my perennials which require so little effort. I do have some weeding to do though to start the season off right and I want to do some fertilizing as the soil is abysmal here.

Thank you Naida. We did enjoy the museum and were some of the few mask wearers. It worked out because my daughter does not want to do lots of walking so we make more short trips rather than a long one.

Thank you Greg. I never feel like I do enough. But at least I am pleased with the results of some things I finish. Maid’s Diary is good with some twisty things. My review is Tuesday. I’m so glad to have March be when spring and the growing season starts here.

I use the Mastodon Autopost plugin and it works great.
I was on vacation all last week, and all the days are running together at this point. We celebrated my birthday and I also got to visit with some friends who moved to FL almost 5 years ago. There was lots of pool time and I walked every day!
I’m so glad you had such a great vacation. I was also thrilled you were able to make it home for the chat. One of the things I love about the chat is how people bring up things I didn’t notice or think about and just discussing brings so much more to the reading experience. Any plugins I want have to get installed by Ashley since I host with her but I’m doing great with the apps now, they are working well and direct to Mastodon.

I don’t even know when Easter is this year. I guess I better figure that out. I wish it wasn’t a floating holiday like it is and had a set date. I am glad you had a good reading month! yes Sophie. There are now 2 iris blooming. They are early, even in Minnesota they bloomed in early April but it’s March here. We will get some cold nights this month and maybe a freeze. But they are hardy. I like to get things done so I try.

Sighs I can’t wait for spring
This is really the start of spring here. I was careful when I chose where I wanted to live. We get a small range of temperatures and then the spring and fall are long with just 2 months of winter usually Jan – Feb and 2 months of hot summer Jul-Aug.
So many great ARCs this week! You got a lot of dog walking in this week which is awesome. I sure hope that my daughter has taken care of her cap and gown because I am clueless. I hope that you are having a great week!

Busy, busy, busy! I feel that so much. I also feel the panic of waking up and remembering something you forgot and it was important. Ugh. Glad it was ok. I hope this week has been less busy and more relaxing. At least the weather was nice for awhile. Pretty flowers!
