The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly  @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week, and showcase books and things we have received.

Don’t forget to look at my giveaways on the right sidebar.

Sunday,  still feeling like I could sleep all morning.   The weather is still so gorgeous. My daughter woke up and said she didn’t feel well, her ear hurt.  So we went to urgent care.  She has a double ear infection and they put her on antibiotics.   She went to take a nap after lunch and the dogs and I are hanging out in the office, with me visiting blogs and other blog activities. She wasn’t able to sleep and wanted to watch another Miss Marple; we tried but we couldn’t hear it well at the highest volume. So we watched Alex vs. America. I’m not feeling the crushing exhaustion I did the last couple days so I was able to read a bit at bedtime for a change.

Monday, I did the usual dogs, blog visiting, emails, dishes, laundry, etc.  Tomorrow dlvr.it ends their free plan which I used to autoshare to Bluesky and Instagram.  Luckily, FS Poster already goes to Instagram.  Buffer now supports Bluesky so I updated it and then resetup the IFTTT app that sends my RSS feed to Buffer to go to Bluesky instead of Mastodon because the FS Poster also already shares to Mastodon.    I’m glad now that I persevered last fall and got everything in FS Poster working.    Our atomic clock needed a new battery but now won’t get to the correct time.  I printed out the troubleshooting instructions and am working through them.   Marley’s family got home early and came to get her right when we were going to have dinner.  She was excited to see them and Lulu was glad to have us to herself.

Tuesday,  I accidentally slept up until 8 am.  But I feel like attacking tasks rather than hiding in relaxing activities. I managed to do a lot in the morning before heading out to Aldi’s, Trader Joes, and Papa Murphy’s.  Trader Joe’s had the gluten free pumpkin ravioli!  After I got back and put everything away, we went to walk with the neighbor and Abby.   It’s a bit warmer today.   I’m going to watch the debate and use my Trump bingo card. lol.  So far my daughter hasn’t had a migraine since she started the new medicine.

Wednesday,  I thought I had the whole day to do things at home. But I started late with wanting to read all the political news about the debate.  Then I couldn’t fit everything I wanted to do.  I ended up on the phone with the neurologist about the latest migraine preventative for my daughter.  I did get a couple of reviews written.

Thursday, I was determined to get the yard stuff finished since we will be having rain leftover from Francine coming up over the weekend.  So I went out and spread the weed and feed, saying hello to Marley.  I also sprayed weedkiller into the cracks in the driveway and edged the driveway and patio.  The neighbor & Abby came to have us walk together,  and walked longer to the pool.  Then I finished the cleanup from the edging.  My daughter had two medical appts.  I ordered our 2025 wall and pocket planning calendars. We finally finished putting together the Lazyboy office chair for my daughter.  It only took 20 minutes and it’s been maybe a month almost finished.  At least, it’s finally ready. Later in the afternoon, we walked again with Lulu.

Friday,  I woke up really early to pouring rain, read news as most mornings, and then dropped off to sleep again. It wasn’t supposed to rain and now I wonder if I will have to redo the weed and feed.  When I went to fix lunch, I noticed that my outdoor freezer was up to 13F, which is unusual.  I went out to the garage and the power was off.  The GFI was tripped. I couldn’t get it to fix, after cycling the breaker.  So I attached the freezer to another outlet with an extension cord. I texted my neighborhood electrician.  His assistant came and replaced the GFI outlet (which was probably 24 years old) and then ended up having to replace the 2 outdoor outlets (which he replaced 2 years ago).  But then everything worked.  I felt exhausted from the hours of another breakdown and repair.

Saturday, after a good night of sleep I felt more like I could take on some tasks. I got the menu plan together for next week.  I did some Blog Ahead creating Sunday posts for 2025. Then I worked ahead on some Series on Saturdays.  We walked Lulu before dinner.  There will be some showers many days this week and temperatures in the upper 70s (F).

I have FREE Factor meals to give away if anyone is interested. I just need to give them your email. You do have to pay shipping.

Now the really scary one. This is all the Kindle and Audible freebies I grabbed this past week. You can see why I need to do Thrifty Thursday to be sure I read a few at least one each month.

This week’s free audiobooks from Chirp:

I really meant to cut back on freebies BUT  they are free so I guess that won’t be happening.

I’m not including things like reviews posted or upcoming as they are always in the right sidebar. And, my challenge status is also there.

  1. Ugh, sorry more stuff had to be fixed. I know something else on my house will probably go soon. But I’m still working to get my fence fixed and a new shed. Sorry your daughter has an ear infection again as well. It seems like it was a busy week, but you got a lot done too! Hope this week is better, and I wish we’d get some of that rain, we need it!

  2. Rough on your daughter to have a double ear infection and still struggling with the migraines. Nice that Marley did well and could go home so Lulu got some of her people time. Nice that you got to several outside chores. We’re so dry right now that even the weeds are not doing well, LOL. I got to watch part of the debate live and watched the rest later. Some good freebies this week.

    Have a good week, Anne!

  3. Sweet Lulu💜

Sorry about your daughter’s health issues. That had to hurt. That bingo card nailed him. I still don’t understand why anyone thinks he’s qualified to lead a house party let alone this country.

Nice book haul, too! Have a great reading week, Anne.

  4. Double ear infection?! Ouch! I hope it clears up quickly. Happy to hear the migraine meds are working, though. That bingo card is hilarious! I showed my husband and he had a laugh, too! We’ve been having beautiful weather here, too. I love this time of year! I’m looking forward to that Molly the Maid novella. She’s so fun!

  5. I hope your daughter’s ear infection has cleared up. I hadn’t planned on it, but I watched the debate too, and read some of the news stories the day after to see what was being said. I heard parts of Southern California will be getting rain soon. I hope we will here, but the chance is slim. Waggoner’s book sounds really good–that title alone makes it sound worth reading. I hope you have a good week!
