The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly  @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week, and showcase books and things we have received.

Don’t forget to look at my giveaways on the right sidebar.

Sunday, my daughter got a bit of a headache as she still had homework to finish today but she got it handled.  I visited blogs and scheduled a few posts.  I still have some reviews to write for this week, but at least I’ve read the books. It was still rainy this morning.  The dishwasher didn’t drain fully.  So I took a picture of the model number and Googled for the user manual.  I read the troubleshooting section and how to clean the filter at the bottom.   We walked Lulu.  When we got back the water had drained!   So maybe that’s good for now. They finally dropped off my Safiyah Jackson yard sign.  I made a list of tasks and felt more organized when I went to bed early.

Monday,  I started tackling the worst things like the denial to cover one of my daughter’s medications.  I went on to writing 3 reviews, doing some setups. My daughter finished her homework and then took a nap.  We walked Lulu with the neighbor. Bingo is canceled tomorrow so I’m having the neighbor over making chili and cornbread, then games.

Tuesday, I felt rushed today trying to do everything for today.  I needed to get the garbage and recycle out.  I need to do some cleaning and get setup for dinner tonight, I placed a Walmart delivery order for a few needed items. I made chili and cornbread and we played games with the neighbor.

Wednesday, we got a response from the specialist.  The issue is that BCBS won’t pay for 2 medications.  They do different things. One promotes flow, the other brings water to the colon so it isn’t hard and can flow.  Anyway, we can get one cheap on Mark Cuban’s Cost Plus Drugs and the other with insurance.  So that’s all in process now. I messaged my doctor about if I need updated MMR because the shots were all separate when I got them many years ago. I also finally got the poll greeting signup email.  So I got all our slots signed up.  Then we went to pick up our state fair tickets at the NCDP office. While we were there, I asked about Roy Cooper or Justice Anita Earls yard signs and got an Anita Earls one.  Then we went to Harris Teeter where we got our flu and covid shots. My daughter got sushi and I got some Bequet caramel sauce to try for 50% off.  Bequet makes the BEST caramels.   When we got back, I put up the yard sign and then we walked Lulu with the neighbor.  I finally got the empty garbage can hosed out and set it to dry in the sun.  I had a menu plan but we ate all the coleslaw I made so we are having pizza instead. My flu shot arm was sore but the COVID arm didn’t hurt.

Thursday, both of us are not having any shot issues. The doctor messaged to get more information on the appeal for the Linzess which I sent.  The Rx for the other med is already at Cost Plus Drugs.  I wrote a review, then did some setups. I’m glad to have a day at home. My daughter started on her homework very late in the day so we were walking Lulu just before dark.

Friday,  I woke early after falling asleep early. I wrote a review and got a few things done. Then my daughter wanted me to take her so she could buy something.  After that I worked on setting up posts for Sophia in November.

Saturday,  I volunteered to drive to the canvassing because my electric is free from my solar panels.  Winn was there at the start and invited my daughter and I to his party on election night!  It was raining a little but it stopped and it was a nice day to be out.  People were friendly.  Afterward we did a pickup at the new gluten free bakery. Now I’m tying to get things done other than sleep at my desk. I did call my ex because we are planning him to visit in November and for Thanksgiving this year.

This is our smallish canvas group due to the rainy weather.  We did 50 homes just my daughter, the neighbor and me.     After tomorrow, it looks sunny for the week and early voting starts Thursday.  We are poll greeting every other day pretty much.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by  Reading Reality.  These are the exciting ARCs I received this week (If you click on the cover, it will take you to the Goodreads entry):

Huge thanks to GP Putnam’s Sons, Minotaur Books,  Macmillan Audio, Tantor Audio,

(If you click on the cover, it will take you to the Goodreads entry)

None.

Now the really scary one. This is all the Kindle and Audible freebies I grabbed this past week. You can see why I need to do Thrifty Thursday to be sure I read a few at least one each month.

I really meant to cut back on freebies BUT  they are free so I guess that won’t be happening.

I’m not including things like reviews posted or upcoming as they are always in the right sidebar. And, my challenge status is also there.

  1. I had to do a Cologuard test, but the doctor ordered it in July, but the company wouldn’t ship it till September because it had to be so many years between. Well that was two different insurance policies and I got a bill for $600 after I sent it back in. I’d called them before I did that to make sure and gave them my new insurance, so I was mad. I called and they didn’t have the new insurance that I’d given them, so I gave it again and they said they’d call the new insurance. So we will see how that goes. Ugh. Insurance is ridiculous. Sounds like it was a pretty good week for you. I don’t want people coming to my door, but I think it is neat that you guys are doing that anyway. Hope you have a good week!
