Sunday Post – 1 July 2018 @kimbacaffeinate @Tynga @readingreality

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly  @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received.

I’ve got several giveaways going on right now – check them out on the right sidebar!

My list this week for COYER included Kindle Unlimited books and library books.  I cancelled Kindle Unlimited since I only managed to read it when I scheduled books. I managed to read and listen to 7 books and 2 audiobooks this week for the list, a total of 9 books. I was happy to get the KU books read so I could cancel it. I’ll post my list readings on Facebook this afternoon.

This week I had a full 7 days off, a real staycation.  I mostly read and listened to books, did some sewing and knitting. There were only 2 medical appointments.  I work today. This upcoming week I don’t work again until net Sunday, but other than July 4th, there are medical appointments for my daughter 3 days which is time-consuming. Then I work 5 days in a row July 8-12 which will be some long days for me. But I’m trying hard to get things done during my very reduced schedule this summer.

It was quite hot, in the 90s F (30C) most of the week. I was very pleased with myself getting out a couple hours Wednesday morning to do yard work. It looks much better.   Maybe next week we can get to the pool.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality.   Here are the exciting ARCs I received this past week.  These are both audiobooks but the Goodreads images aren’t quite right.

Double Blind

I was so excited to get this one. I really love this series.

Realm of the Elderlings by Robin Hobb

The Tantor audiobook sale of all downloads at $6.99 convinced me to add to my Robin Hobb collection.  The rest are at Audible but I couldn’t pass  up the deal.  I considered many, many other titles but held firm.

Audiobookstand.com is closing their business July 31, 2018.  This is a discount group which has audiobooks from Brilliance. I imagine I’ll buy some of those sometime over the next month.

Now the really scary one. This is all the Kindle and Audible freebies I grabbed this past week. You can see why I need to do Thrifty Thursday to be sure I read a few at least one each month.

I really meant to cut back on freebies BUT  they are free so I guess that won’t be happening.

I’m not including things like reviews posted or upcoming as they are always in the right sidebar. And, my challenge status is also there.

If you like this and want to see me do the Sunday post, as often as I can manage, leave me a comment and let me know. I work odd hours with no access to phone or Internet so sometimes I’m not around to approve comments right away. I work today.

Wow! Way to go on the COYER List, Anne. 🙂 You had a plan and you worked it. I got four read off the list which was my plan. Now, I’m on to the Strict. Hopefully, I’ll do alright with that one, too.

Love how you are spending your Staycation with little projects and reading. Way to go on catching the sales. I still need to see what they’ve got. I need to go in with a strict plan for just looking for the ones I most want on audio so I don’t go nuts. LOL

Try to stay cool and have a Happy 4th, Anne!

    • yes the List really works for me plus having time to do it. I have to get to more projects this week and there’s a bunch of med appts. I am doing the Twist next which was the plan but I’m going to do Audiobooks instead of ebooks as I originally thought.

Happy Independence Day to you also!

Your staycation sounds wonderful. It’s pretty hot and humid here. I’m inside enjoying my books. Have a great week!

    My Sunday post is here.
