He’s just found out that he’s been designated the guardian for a half-brother he never knew existed. And that’s not even the craziest thing about this night. The annulment he thought he got twelve years ago? Yeah, that never went through.

She’s shocked to see him again, but not surprised they’re still married. After all, she was the one who refused to sign the annulment papers.

When she offers to help with his younger brother, a sweet, devout preacher’s daughter seems like an answered prayer. But he soon realizes that she wants a second chance. At everything. And he has a hell of a time resisting her… which is exactly what got him into trouble last time.

This series seems to have two names The Bradfords and Everyday Heroes.  The stories revolve around the Bradford family, their community center, doctors, nurses and paramedics. The whole circle of families and friends and their continuing support of each other make this series so special to me.

Kevin’s life has blown up into new problems and issues he has ignored for years. He has a half-brother he didn’t know existed. He goes back to the hometown and finds out he’s still married.  Eve has her own problems from then and now to understand.

I knew Kevin’s story, with his conversion to being a Christian after having some rough years, would be a big one. And yes, Kevin is the amazing guy who helps everyone, he walks the walk. Kevin works every day to prove he is good enough.  But he doesn’t quite believe in himself, the way his group of friends do.

This close-knit, caring group of people really make the series. I love them. I laughed and cried and worried, with all the feels with them and for them.  Just a Kiss is more icing on the cake.

Karen White performs these so well; they are like crack for me. I’m not sure I would enjoy the books as much without her talents.  The emotion and wit with the dialogue and character thoughts are incredible!  The different characters’ voices are mostly recognizable to me now in the series.  I was able to listen comfortably at 1.5x speed.

Karen White is a classically trained actress who has been recording audio books since 1999 and has well over 150 books to her credit and is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA. Publishers Weekly says of Nothing to Envy by Barbara Demick, “Karen White delivers a stunning reading, her character interpretations are confident and well-rounded, and she forges a strong bond with the audience.” Speaking of Audiobooks says of her, “Karen is one of my auto-buy narrators – if I think a book may interest me, her narration will sway me to give it a try.”

KAREN GREY is the pen name for award-winning narrator Karen White. A stage, screen and radio drama actor in Boston, New York and Los Angeles in the late 20th century, she started recording books in 1999. Now back in her home state of North Carolina, she shares a home with her family and (probably) too many pets, where she continues to narrate audiobooks as well as make up stories.

About Erin Nicholas

Erin Nicholas is the author of sexy contemporary romances. Her stories have been described as toe-curling, enchanting, steamy and fun. She loves to write about reluctant heroes, imperfect heroines and happily ever afters. She lives in the Midwest with her husband who only wants to read the sex scenes in her books, her kids who will never read the sex scenes in her books, and family and friends who say they’re shocked by the sex scenes in her books (yeah, right!).
