The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly  @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week, and showcase books and things we have received.

Don’t forget to look at my giveaways on the right sidebar.  Two end tonight: The WTZ grand prize and the Library Love Audiobook Mini Challenge.

Sunday,  a relaxed start to the day with the usual Sunday post visiting and getting some posts for this week ready to go.  I have a lot of audio ARCs for July and only one eARC so I plan to read more ebook freebies and backlist.   The chat today was so fun and I loved the White Trash Zombies series so much! Now it’s on to reading Sterling for the Mageri Read-along.  The pacing plans are up on the Facebook page and in the COYER group.

Monday, I started out doing well with visiting, writing a review, reading / scoring 5 more BBNYA excerpts.  I also cleaned out old granola bars, oatmeal packets and rice which was past its best date by more than a year.  I connected with my brother to find out when the rest of the family will be in Raleigh around a wedding. But then my daughter tried to print and it didn’t work.  I tried my backup printhead.  Then I got the backup printer out of the attic.  No dice.    I found one on Facebook Marketplace to go buy tomorrow.

Tuesday, trying to do the basics before going out and about.  We have the dentist, the printer pickup, and then to Papa Murphys for a pizza. No cavities at the dentist and the printer pickup went well.  I setup the printer and connected it to the network, then my laptop connected and I printed – no problem.  My daughter  can’t get either of her laptops connected.  UGH.  I had to stop and get some bills paid.  Then I changed my Buffer channels which I use for sharing deals and sales.  I just got an email they are connected to Threads now.  It was currently  sharing to Facebook, Mastodon and Instagram.  I removed Instagram and added Threads instead.  My daughter went downstairs so I went over to her desk and tried to connect her laptops to the printer and in a few minutes had both working.  I am also the one who has to change the car and appliances for time changes etc.  lol  I feel badly we didn’t get Lulu walked today – so hot and tomorrow will be worse.

Wednesday,  I tried to get my regular computer stuff completed before the afternoon medical appts.  It’s hard to get  projects done with appts every day this week.  It was really HOT today.  I took my daughter to her PT appt and we did a Walmart pickup on the way back.  I finally did some vacuuming before dinner.

Thursday,  I woke early and worked on my BBNYA reading while it was quiet.  One more day and I’ll be finished with the first round.  Lulu has been chewing her paws so we put on booties. Unfortunately, she  is devilishly clever and has now figured out how to take them off. I had a minor freakout when Overdrive didn’t work right.  I was able to get back to it with some fiddling.  I had a notification about a hold coming available in Libby and I went to Libby and it didn’t show there.  But once I got back into Overdrive, it was there. My daughter had a med appt.  Then we did our last shop at Costco and got her a new office chair.  We stopped at Harris Teeter for her 2 RX.  Then I looked at the baby quilt I need to finish this week. I got started on putting the chair together. We got a break on weather today, only 82, cloudy with a north wind. I took Lulu on a medium route.  After dinner we trimmed her nails and I watered the plants.  Then we packed up the old printer parts and got them back in the attic.

Friday, we are just tired.  I didn’t get going quickly.  We had to leave at noon for another medical appt.  My daughter also had tests for blood and x-rays.  We will see the results in a few weeks.  It’s hot again.

Saturday,  I’m doing regular chores like laundry, dishes and watering the indoor plants.  Then there’s the regular visiting and computer stuff. Another heat advisory day.  I did some review setups and edited / scheduled some reviews.

I would love a week where things work and nothing breaks down.  To be fair, my stuff like the printer was old (12 years) but it worked and I loved it.  We may get some 80s and north winds Monday / Tuesday but otherwise it is HOT.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by  Reading Reality.  These are the exciting ARCs I received this week (If you click on the cover, it will take you to the Goodreads entry):

My thanks to PRH Audio, Elizabeth Hunter.

(If you click on the cover, it will take you to the Goodreads entry)

NONE.

Now the really scary one. This is all the Kindle and Audible freebies I grabbed this past week. You can see why I need to do Thrifty Thursday to be sure I read a few at least one each month.

I really meant to cut back on freebies BUT  they are free so I guess that won’t be happening.

I’m not including things like reviews posted or upcoming as they are always in the right sidebar. And, my challenge status is also there.

  1. The last printer I bought I couldn’t get to work and ended up smashing it to pieces. Made me feel better. lol

I bought some booties for my dog too and am having a hard time keeping them on Falcor’s paws.

  2. Interesting list! I have a hard time following audio books – we usually just do them on road trips. And who ever thought there could be a problem with free books?!? I also have way too many to read, and most of them were free to review, so I need to pick up the pace!

  3. Poor Lulu. We have never been able to use booties either-all our dogs get them right off. Thankfully, when Calleigh had her foot surgery, she just left the bandage alone as long as we didn’t try the bootie. Hopefully it stays a little cooler for you guys!

  4. I had to order new cartridges for my printer, it ran out. I don’t use it a ton now that I have a color one at work. But for the summer I will use it more. Dora chews on her feet all year, but more in the summer. She hates baths and won’t let me use the little wipes really either, so mostly I just have to watch her suffer. 🙁 I loved our WTZ chat! I won’t be joining into the next one, just too much on my reading plate. We had the horrible heat last week, I think this week it will be a bit better. Fingers crossed. Lulu is so adorable in that picture!

  5. The heat is so draining, right? It’s very hot here and will be in the 90s for the 4th of July weekend. Yuck! I hate when you have an appliance or printer that you’ve had forever and it works wonderfully – until it doesn’t. I find buying new equipment is the worst because it just doesn’t last. Oh well, try to stay cool, Anne:-)

  6. Printers are the most finicky devices ever. They’re so annoying the work with. I used to work for a dental software and I was in the Support department. I hated it whenever someone called with printer problems. I’m glad she got both working.

I hope you have a great week!

  7. Chewing her paws — poor Lulu! I hope whatever is causing that, it settles down soon. Sorry to hear about your printer. It’s so frustrating when things stop working. I hope your daughter’s test results are helpful and informative. The India Holton book is humorous, madcap fun; I hope you like it.

  8. I am glad you enjoyed the White Trash Zombies series. It does sound good! Yay for no cavities! My daughter’s orthodontist appointment went well. The doctor was happy with the placement of her expander and so we won’t have to expand it any further. Mouse is finally able to chew again and is braving more foods. I was beginning to worry because she’d lost a noticeable amount of weight and hadn’t been eating much at all. She hadn’t been complaining of any other health issues, other than it being awkward and at times painful to chew because her bite was so different. She has to go back in August to have the top brackets put in. I hope your daughter’s blood and x-ray results come back okay. I love the titles of India Holton’s books. They always sound so good too. I hope you have a great week, Anne! Take care.

  9. It’s hard seeing your pet suffer. I have a terrible time getting Peanut to the vet so I hate it if he has any issues. It’s bad enough that he completely freaks out if we apply the flea meds on him that he has to have every month! He’s outdoors a bunch so he’d pick up fleas if he didn’t get it. I feel like such a bad guy when I do it.

You have a lot of doctor appts that keep you on the run and busy! Printer issues suck. Thankfully, my husband can usually fix them. Yay for no cavities! I had fun on our chat, too! Thanks again for hosting!

  10. Hi Lulu! Hopefully she stops chewing her paws so no more booties. It’s windy here today thankfully cooler, because yesterday it so very hot and really humid.
Glad you enjoyed the White Trash Zombies series. Happy reading this week, The Girls in the Snow caught my eye. It’s hard to resist free books.
