You know when you love an author and they try something a little new and you are really excited for it on one hand, but then on the other you just want to read the stuff you know you already love. Songs of the Dead, the first book in The Strata Wars, was a book […]
I’ve been collecting some of the Nora Roberts audio books which are not at the library. I’m trying to fit them in now since I have lots of them now. They seems to be mostly stand alones. Eli is an attorney who has now left Boston after a year of fighting the charge of killing […]
Due to an early wake up and getting right to my emails, I was lucky enough to get a working code to receive this audiobook on Audible from the author’s newsletter. I love scifi and it is relatively short so I thought it would be fun. The basics here are aliens coming to earth to […]
I was happy to read more in the world of the Iron Druid Chronicles and we do get a scene with each of the three Druids. As I expected, we are dealing with Al’s curse and how Roxanne will live in the human world. Nadia embarks on her own path of creating a religion of […]
I saw FantasticLand on the Audible 2-for-1 deal and decided to give it a chance. While I had never read the author before, I knew both the narrators and really enjoyed them in the past. I liked the dystopian look of the cover and when I read the blurb, I thought the story sounded really […]
I’m sure it’s probably been asked frequently but, what inspired you to write this series and use mostly Irish gods as opposed to other gods (Greek/Roman/Viking)? Well, I’m mostly Irish (a bit of a UK mutt) so it’s at least somewhat my heritage, and plenty of other people write about the Olympians and the […]
I am so thrilled to finally have had a chance to read the Iron Druid Chronicles. Thank you so much to Kevin Hearne for his participation in the Read-along and all my friends and reviewers.  No doubt since Scourged is the final book there will be some spoilers. Urban fantasy is a favorite. Usually, […]
Besieged is a large collection and after Staked I wasn’t quite ready to leave this world or wait for the next audiobook, so I decided to download this collection. Brilliant, funny, sad, and interesting, I delighted in these tales shared around a campfire. Atticus, Granuaile, and Oberon are enjoying a quiet evening around the campfire at their […]
This may be my favorite of the Iron Druid Chronicles we’ve read thus far! Plot wise it was very satisfying in that we made significant advancement and even had a BIG question answered finally. But for me, I think it was the characters – new and old – that made Shattered so satisfying. Note: […]
Hunted, the sixth installment in the Iron Druid Chronicles, is another exhilarating supernatural thriller that takes readers on a non-stop, action-packed journey. I stopped reading this series mid-way through Tricked and I was happy for an excuse to jump back in. In Hunted, the story picks up immediately after the events of Trapped, where […]
