And the plot thickens…(suspenseful music playing)…White Trash Zombie Apocalypse finds our plucky heroine, Angel, up to her frizzy, only partially bleached hair in the nefarious goings-on within the zombie underworld. Will she be able to determine why real zombies and fake zombies are roaming the streets of her town? Will she and her boyfriend(?) Marcus find […]

Aftermarket Afterlife by Seanan McGuire @seananmcguire ‏@dawbooks @penguinrandom @SnyderBridge4

Aftermarket Afterlife is the thirteenth book in the Incryptid series and I’d like to say it was lucky number thirteen but I struggled to finish it. I will say I have read so many of Seanan McGuire’s books and short stories (somewhere in the realm of 60ish stories) and usually they are a great read for […]

I didn’t like this book quite as much as the first book in the series but I still really enjoyed it. I really think that I enjoyed this one a little more by going the audio route. The narrator is absolutely perfect for this series and really makes the story incredibly entertaining. This was a […]

When Angel wakes in the hospital, she only has vague memories of the night before, including being severely injured in a car accident. Yet she doesn’t have a scratch on her, and she was brought into the hospital naked and nearly dead from a drug overdose. Someone leaves her clean clothes, a mysterious letter telling […]

I chose this series after a poll and discussions with my team and several friends. The ebook or print are available at most libraries. The audio is an Audible exclusive. I have not read any of these but I own them all because they were recommended to me by friends. I look forward to finally […]

The Innocent Sleep by Seanan McGuire @seananmcguire @dawbooks @SnyderBridge4

The Innocent Sleep is the 18th book in the October Daye series. Told from Tybalt’s PoV, we get to experience the events in the same timeline as book 17 from the other group of characters working to free those captured in Titania’s illusion. While the shift in PoV took a little time to become accustomed […]

Sleep No More by Seanan McGuire @seananmcguire @dawbooks @SnyderBridge4

Sleep No More is the seventeenth novel in the October Daye series and it is a trip. This is a well established series and you will need to read all the books in order to understand most of the storyline in this one. Titania is back with a vengeance and she might not be able […]

Glimmer by Marjorie B Kellogg #MarjorieBKellogg @dawbooks @BerkleyPub

I remember how I really wanted to read this book and started it but had something come up and never got back to it. Somehow I also had the wrong impression of the age of the main character in the brief amount I read which was better once I actually read and knew more. That […]

Backpacking Through Bedlam by Seanan McGuire @seananmcguire ‏@dawbooks @penguinrandom @SnyderBridge4

Backpacking through Bedlam is the 12th book the Incryptid series, unless you are reading all the short stories as well, then I think it is closer to triple digits. You should read the entire series in order to really understand everything happening in this book, at minimum you will need to have read Spelunking Through Hell, […]

Terminal Alliance by Jim C. Hines @jimchines @dawbooks @AudiobookMel

I dived into this book without much knowledge about the series. I had read this author before with the Jig the Goblin series. I had a really great time with that series and when I needed something to read on vacation, I grabbed this one, I’m really glad I did. I had a […]
