I chose this series after a poll and discussions with my team and several friends. The ebook or print are available at most libraries. The audio is an Audible exclusive. I have not read any of these but I own them all because they were recommended to me by friends. I look forward to finally reading the series. The covers are by the fabulous Daniel Dos Santos who also does the Mercy Thompson covers by Patricia Briggs.
You will have 4-5 weeks to read each book. There will be games, discussion, prizes, reviews and fun with each book. I will be collecting Q & A questions in the rafflecopters. The prizes will include some paperbacks, digital books, audiobooks, and gift certificates through Better World Books. Each giveaway will have both US and Intl prizes.
Diana Rowland has also been kind enough to say she will offer some prizes. Her participation will be further defined over the next couple of months.
Here’s your to-do list:
- Find your copies of these books, borrow them from a friend, get them at the library or buy them (Audio is Audible only)
- Sign up to join the Read-along
- Enter the giveaways!
Schedule:
We are doing one book every 4-5 weeks, posting on Fridays. We will have a review for most of the books with the team here at Books of My Heart plus some of our friends.

On the Sunday after the review posts, they will host a Google meeting (like we do for COYER book club) at 12 PT, 2 CT, 3 ET and 9pm Europe, for a one hour chat. So the first one will be January 21. You do not have to join the COYER challenge to participate, only the COYER Facebook group.

Enjoy the read-along!
Thanks! So far I’ve always been really glad I read the series. It’s a little scary when you haven’t read any of the books to take on something like this as a host.
I’m in! Got the books in the Audible sale!!
Excellent! That sale happened at just the right time.
Fun series! I’ll be along for each post. 🙂
Thanks Sophia. I look forward to your thoughts.
I read a few of these. I stopped when the mass market book was huge and had the tiniest font I’d seen in a book. Meant to go back and pick the series up again in ebook format (where I could adjust font size), but so many books, so little time (and money).
Glad to have you reading with us. I can get ebook at most of my libraries and you never know, you might win the audio set. 🙂
I am looking forward to re-reading this series! It was a lot of fun the first time around.
Carole, I’m really delighted to have you read with us. If you’re not working, the chats are awesome too.
Oh, I wanna join. I think I can squeeze an extra book in each month!
That’s awesome. I’m excited. I think you would like this particular series. It lines up a bit with the genres you read. It’s shorter too, just 6 months. Be sure to join the COYER group if you haven’t, so you are ready for chats. You don’t have to do anything else COYER just join the FB group.
Looking forward to this one! Glad I was able to get the audios on sale! Didn’t know the artist was the same for the Mercy Thompson covers!
yes this is a different series but I think it will be very fun. So thrilled to have you joining us.
Good luck with the readathon! I’ve read one of Diana Rowland’s other series, at least part of it, but haven’t tried this one yet. Maybe one day, I’ll pick it up :). I look forward to reading your reviews for this series!
Thanks Lola. These Read-alongs tend to be really fun. This one is shorter and a unique blend of genre I think.
I should attempt book 1 one day.
Everyone tells me they are really good. I own them but haven’t read any of them.
I’m going to finish signing up as soon as I get home! Trying to get the Mister Linky to work with my school’s firewall is crazy! But I’m going to give this series a try!
Lisa I’m so thrilled you will join us. I hope you enjoy the series and might join us for some of the Sunday chats! Don’t forget to join the COYER Facebook group so you can do those. You don’t have to do the challenge only join the group for the events.
SO excited to participate in this! Hoping to read the first book during this cold spell. I haven’t read this series before!
So thrilled to have you joining us! The chat is coming up Sunday and you need to join the COYER Facebook group to participate. You don’t have to do the COYER Challenge only join the community. I hadn’t read this series either but I really enjoyed the first one.
