He's Gone Rogue Ex-navy SEAL Rock Babineaux is as Cajun as they come-spicy, sexy, and more than a bit wicked. But would he actually betray his country? Even his best friends on the special-ops Black Knights team aren't sure they can trust him. Now the target of a massive manhunt, Rock knows the only way to protect the team-especially his partner, Vanessa-is to run.
She Won't Back Down Rock might think he can outmaneuver them all, but he hasn't counted on how stubborn Vanessa Cordero can be. And she refuses to cut him loose. Sure, her partner has his secrets, but there's no one in the world she'd rather have by her side in a tight spot. Which is good because she and Rock are about to get very tight . .
This is the fourth in The Black Knights Inc. series and the third I’ve listened to audio. I continue to enjoy Abby Craden’s narration. For Rock, she did a bayou accent with French intermingled. I don’t know if it was authentic but it was fun. The men all sound different but to me, the women sound mostly the same. It doesn’t bother me though.
Thrill Ride was suspenseful and the mystery and action was more exciting to me than the romance. The Black Knights used more tech in this one which pleased me. I like seeing all the guys working together, planning strategies and using their talents. Rock has some mad skills in staying lost.
Rock and Vanessa were paired in the previous book so their further relationship wasn’t a surprise. Just as I’m sure Bill and Eve are coming up soon. I really appreciated how honest Vanessa was with herself and with Rock. He had some problems with reality. It was fun and sexy to read. I was happy to have them together but I didn’t feel them as much as some couples.
Sourcebook Casablanca had the ebook free on Saturday here You can listen to a clip here. I’ll be listening to the next in the series, Born Wild, soon.

Wonderful review. I’ve enjoyed the books in the BKI series. I grabbed me with book one and I had to read them all. I like the suspense, mystery, and action we get. The romance is great, but I’m kept on my toes with how fast things move.
I have to read the first three books first to finally understand the whole story. My apologies.
