Gwennore is an Elf able to track down the cause of a certain illness and heal it—a valuable asset to her people. But when she is thrust into the realm of the dragons, she discovers a haunted place of power, passion, and magic—one that is plagued by an ancient curse. When she meets the smoldering General Silas Dravenko, Gwen knows she’s entered a whole new world of trouble. She’s been raised never to trust a dragon. So why does making a deal with the devil feel so good?
Silas has no way of saving the royal family he’s served for years. But when a beautiful, innocent elf comes bursting into his world, Silas is awakened to desire in a way he’s never felt before. But how can he trust a sworn enemy. . .and how can he live without her,
I loved this – so clever and a bit funny. Eight Simple Rules for Dating a Dragon had all the things I want and need. The world building continued from the previous books, as we continue to learn more about all five kingdoms and their histories. You do need to read these books in order to understand the histories of the lands and the people. I can’t wait to learn about the elves! But as the title implies, this time we had dragons!
I love the people, the sisters of the Embraced series and their friends. Since they had only each other growing up, they are each other’s friends and family. I love their connection and unwavering support. It makes it all the more interesting to see how everyone progresses even though each book focuses on one new couple.
The mysteries of the series ties in with the hidden stories of the sisters’ pasts and the five kingdoms. Some of the issues are a series arc, but even those exposed here will have effects into the future. I am worried about The Chameleon and the Circle of Five. They seemingly have too much power with their long laid plans. I hope good triumphs over evil and love over hate.
I can’t begin to express how fun and interesting these stories are and how much I love them! Highly recommended.
“She calls you General Gorgeous. Doesn’t that mean she’s attracted to you, too?”
Silas shook his head, then smiled as he recalled her physical assessment of him. Constipation. “She thinks I’m full of shit.”
Aleksi snorted. “You’re right. She is intelligent.”
