You have an excellent list, Anne! I don’t think I’d be able to keep to ‘just’ ten, though 😉
I hope you’re enjoying some quiet time these days!
Hugs
So hard to keep it to 10. There are so many books coming up in the next year that I’m excited about.
Thanks Linda! 10 is way too small, especially when I read over 300 books this year including over 100 new releases. But even picking the ones I am most anticipating, it’s too small a list. But people don’t want to read a longer list I think.
OMG! I had no idea Penny Reid was going to write mysteries. I may just become a mystery reader yet. Oh, and I need the new Aurora book, because the first one left me in tears
Right the ending to Aurora was intense and so sad. Looking forward to see where the story goes after this.
The mysteries are special ones with CLETUS!!!!! and Jenn!!!! I LOVE them the best. I can’t wait.
I love your picks, gals! I, too, want the Ilona Andrews and the Grace Draven besides Martha Wells and Patricia Briggs. So much to anticipate. 🙂
Thanks Sophia! You’re so right it is like a Toys R Us catalog only more complicated as it’s not all in one place except some in Goodreads. I hope you GET all your picks. I’ve pre-ordered some of mine already.
Thanks for sharing your fabulous choices all this week!
Grace Draven is super high on my tbr in 2020 too. I’m really looking forward to Dragon Unleashed
I am HERE for the Ilona Andrews books!! I am obsessed with their stories, and totally in love with their characters.
Lindsi @ Do You Dog-ear? ☃?
I’ve already pre-ordered the ones with titles. I think I had Magic Triumphs on pre-order for more than a year as it got delayed. I was thrilled to get to go to the release party for Magic Binds in NOLA. I got a stuffed Curran in a shirt which says Here Kitty, Kitty, which is sitting on my desk now. lol I love them. They are really nice people too.
Lucky! I would love to meet them! A stuffed Curran??? Please post a picture somewhere and tag me. I have to see this!
OK I think it’s easiest on Twitter so I’ll try to do that today. NOLA Storycon is where I met Robin and she is great. I’m so happy to have her here with me on the blog, along with Melanie and KC. I am grateful to know them.
I’m reading anything the Andrews decide to write. Seriously they could post that they’d decided to completely swap genres and do Biographies on famous cats and I’d be like ‘Well I guess I’m really totally reading about the life of a cat’
Awesome lists for both of you. I have a post next week about most anticpated and quite a few of these are on my list!
It’s so hard to choose. By having two of us we get closer to 20 at least.
*high five* Can’t wait to see what you are looking forward to next year
IF PEACE TALKS ACTUALLY COMES OUT next year… it is at the very, very top of my list. But my list looks very similar to both of yours – with ANYTHING by Ilona Andrews, and the next Mercy book… There will be some great books next year!
Peace Talks has a July 14 release date. So it is happening! In fact I pre-ordered the audio, although I’ll get the ARC to review first. You notice I highlighted it as it has been on my list for 3 years now. It’s exciting. They are all exciting. Thanks Jen and I appreciate you participating. I think it’s a nice set of posts for holiday week.
WOO HOO! I’ve added it to my calendar – thanks Anne. I hope to get the audiobook review copy (I did on the past couple anthologies), but if not, I’ll buy it. I only do this one in audiobook.
It’s like Ilona Andrews. I get the ARCs and I buy them all too. I do tend to buy the audio but not the ebook for Harry Dresden. For Ilona Andrews I have some stuff in 3 formats. It has to be totally available. lol
Mercy read along here so I’m totally in for the new Mercy book. I’ll be glad to get caught up with the series.
Great list for both of you. Andrews…. Can’t wait for their books. ^_^
They are on most everyone’s list. I’ve pre-ordered them plus Peace Talks.
I want all books mentioned in the top 10 plus The Heat Prrinciple by Helen Hoang.
Keeping my fingers crossed for that Peace Talks release date.
Oh that’s another good one. I love Helen Hoang’s work. It is just too hard to narrow it down.
All of these are great picks! Smoke Bitten and all things Ilona Andrews would top my list!
Thanks. Robin and I are heavier into UF, fantasy and sci-fi with me leaning into mystery and her more YA and neither of us are heavy on romance although we both enjoy it.
I didn’t know about Smoke Bitten! I’m also really looking forward to Slaughter’s book.
I just the Smoke Bitten eARC today. I am on board for every single thing Karin Slaughter now.
