I can't really remember any time when I wasn't reading. I LOVE books and what they give me. It's an opportunity to learn new things, see new places,live different emotions in a "safe" way. It lets me live in a new world.
I read all types of books but my favorites are urban fantasy and romantic suspense.I like some romance and some action / adventure / mystery in everything.I like sex in my books but please, only between TWO people.Intimate conversation is equally important to the sex in a book.It lets me see the characters.The other thing I enjoy is humor.

Storm Cursed, Aurora Rising, and Exit Strategy were big favorites for me, too, though they didn’t make my list for today. 🙂
Sapphire Flames and Into the Dark were meant to be reads for this year, but I haven’t fit them in yet.

I had a lot that almost made it in. Sapphire Flames and Circle of the Moon were close but man the competition was tight this year.
It was SO difficult.
It’s excruciating to choose! I look at other lists and want to add books to my list. I had to separate best books and best audio books to have 20 instead of 10. lol Thank you so much for participating!
I see a lot of books up there that are on my hope to read list! Faith Hunter’s Jane Yellowrock is a series I started years ago and really need to come back to. Maybe in 2020! Illona Andrews made my list as well, for different books. And I love Patti Briggs!
Ilona Andrews are always a favorite of mine I read everything they write.
Jane Yellowrock is a really good series although it took until book 5 or 6 for it to get to the point I couldn’t put it down.
There are still a ton of books I haven’t gotten to this year but there is always next year right.

Excellent lists.. I’ve read and enjoyed quite a few of these. Narrowing it down to only 10 is so hard!!

Thanks, I put some on each list so that I had 20 total. I could easily come up with more than 20 I really enjoyed though.
I’ve not done my lists yet but I do know Kate Daniels will definitely be making it!
Kate Daniels is my favorite series of all time. But there were no books which came out in 2019. Some people chose to just choose the favorites of those they read in 2019 though.

Well it’s totally up to you but I think it’s an awesome series. I’ve already listened to the second book also.
Awesome lists – there are a number of authors I want to read more of in 2020. And while the Innkeeper Chronicles are one of my favourites series, I’m aware I haven’t read anything else by Ilona Andrews… I think I need to fix that! Thank you for sharing – I think the notion of separating your audiobooks from the others is a very smart move!
I’m not going to disagree with anything you said. Ilona Andrews is my very favorite so I devour everything they write as soon as I can get it I already have two books on pre-order from them for 2020 so far. I have to have separate lists because I easily have more than 10 or even 20 I want to recognize as amazing books.

I read enough books there are so many I want to include and it’s very hard to pick 10. That’s why I do audiobooks too.
