I can't really remember any time when I wasn't reading. I LOVE books and what they give me. It's an opportunity to learn new things, see new places,live different emotions in a "safe" way. It lets me live in a new world.
I read all types of books but my favorites are urban fantasy and romantic suspense.I like some romance and some action / adventure / mystery in everything.I like sex in my books but please, only between TWO people.Intimate conversation is equally important to the sex in a book.It lets me see the characters.The other thing I enjoy is humor.

I’ve not read any of these-yet. I guess everyone has their own list.
I think you would love the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs, the Hidden Legacy series by Ilona Andrews and all the Annette Marie books starting with Guild Codex Spellbound but also Guild Codex Demonized. The UF, fantasy and scifi tend to be more series with longer character development than some romance but these all have elements of romance in them which I enjoy. It’s not the main focus though

Yes back when this started we did Book Boyfriends but I like more characters than Yummy Men, as I’ve always liked Kickass Chicks too. But I can appreciate villains and sidekicks too.
Besides Mercy Thompson, I have lots of characters to meet still it seems!
Well my first choice with recommendations of where to start is always Ilona Andrews but I’m sure you would love Annette Marie, and Benedict Jacka too. The Martha Wells books are amazing and funny. You can’t go wrong with any of these authors.

I am loving all these top 10 posts! I really like Mercy Thompson too. It’s been ages since I last visited with her though.
I am loving all the lists but they are overwhelming my TBR. Well we did the Mercy Thompson Read-along last year so it’s all fresh in my mind. I love the process of selecting favorites and seeing everyone else’s favorites. So I’d like to do this every year.
I am adoring Catalina and can’t wait to see her growth in Emerald Blaze. And Milla Vane writes fabulous characters.

Characters make the story so they might be main characters, villains, sidekicks but their growth, quirks, sense of humor, and ability to grab our emotions are key.
I’m not up to date in the series but Mercy Thompson will always be one of my favorite characters. And, I’m intrigued by your inclusion of Carol Bloom from Atlee Pine! Definitely need to get caught up in that series.
Carol is the best! I liked her in every book of this series.
