This is a new feature I developed where each month we will look at our favorite – the best – series in a genre or topic.
The topic here, by my definition, is a SciFi Romance series These are the ones which came to mind. I enjoyed some more than others. The team had to help me find some of these.
Since I haven’t read everything, it’s a subset of the possibilities. I’m sure I am forgetting some great authors. There are also plenty of authors I have yet to read. Please share your favorites with me in the comments, also.
My favorite SciFi Romance series are (in no particular order):

About Amanda Bouchet
Amanda Bouchet grew up in New England where she spent much of her time tromping around in the woods and making up grand adventures in her head. It was inevitable that one day she would start writing them down. Drawing on her Greek heritage for the setting and on her love of all things daring and romantic for the rest, her debut trilogy, The Kingmaker Chronicles, took form. She writes what she loves to read: epic exploits, steamy romance, and characters that make you laugh and cry.
A French master’s graduate and former English teacher, Amanda lives in Paris, France. She met her husband while studying abroad, and the family now includes two bilingual children who will soon be correcting her French.
Cara Bristol continues to evolve, adding new subgenres of erotic romance to her repertoire. She has written spanking romance, contemporary romance, paranormal, and science fiction romance. No matter what the genre, one thing remains constant: her emphasis on character-driven seriously hot erotic stories with sizzling chemistry between the hero and heroine. Cara has lived many places in the United States, but currently lives in Missouri with her husband. She has two grown stepkids. When she’s not writing, she enjoys reading and traveling.
“Ilona Andrews” is the pseudonym for a husband-and-wife writing team. Ilona is a native-born Russian and Gordon is a former communications sergeant in the U.S. Army. Contrary to popular belief, Gordon was never an intelligence officer with a license to kill, and Ilona was never the mysterious Russian spy who seduced him. They met in college, in English Composition 101, where Ilona got a better grade. (Gordon is still sore about that.)
Gordon and Ilona currently reside in Texas with their two children and many dogs and cats.
They have co-authored several bestselling series, including the #1 NYT bestselling urban fantasy of Kate Daniels, rustic fantasy of the Edge, paranormal romance of Hidden Legacy, and Innkeeper Chronicles, which they post as a free weekly serial.
Jessie Mihalik has a degree in Computer Science and a love of all things geeky. A software engineer by trade, Jessie now writes full time from her home in Texas. When she’s not writing, she can be found playing co-op video games with her husband, trying out new board games, or reading books pulled from her overflowing bookshelves.
USA Today Best Selling Science Fiction & Paranormal Romance author.
Veronica Scott grew up in a house with a library as its heart. Dad loved science fiction, Mom loved ancient history and Veronica thought there needed to be more romance in everything. When she ran out of books to read, she started writing her own stories.
MISC FACTS ABOUT VERONICA
Seven time winner ~ SFR Galaxy Award
Proud recipient ~ NASA Exceptional Service Medal but must hasten to add the honor was not for her romantic fiction!
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt – I’ll improve your process (mwahahahaa)!
Elvis Presley’s best friend once serenaded Veronica on a local TV telethon…now that could be a novel…
Vivien Jackson writes fantastical, futuristic, down-home salacious kissery. After being told at the age of seven she could not marry Han Solo because he wasn’t a real person, she devoted her life to creating worlds where, goldarnit, she could marry anybody she wanted. And she could wield a blaster doing it. She has a degree in English, a background in copy editing, a gamer-geek partner who stands in line with her for movie releases, two hairy little pets, and a home in Austin, Texas.
I can't really remember any time when I wasn't reading. I LOVE books and what they give me. It's an opportunity to learn new things, see new places, live different emotions in a "safe" way. It lets me live in a new world.
I read all types of books but my favorites are urban fantasy and romantic suspense.I like some romance and some action / adventure / mystery in everything.I like sex in my books but please, only between TWO people.Intimate conversation is equally important to the sex in a book.It lets me see the characters. The other thing I enjoy is humor.
Well you have heard of some of these, particularly Ilona Andrews and Jessie Mihalik are perhaps more widely reviewed and from publishers you read often.
Thanks Lisa. I have read Ice Planet Barbarians and you will see my review of one Thursday in the Thrifty Thursday. I liked it too. There were lots of choices in this category and more I still want to read.
I love The Innkeeper Chronicles so much, as you know. I enjoy and need to finish Mihalik’s series too. I want to try Veronica Scott for sure! I just need some more time, haha!
I really love Jessie Mihalik’s series, and one of these days I’d like to try Amanda Bouchet😁
I hope you do Tammy. I’ve read and enjoyed them all. They are all a bit different in style and focus but still scifi romance.
I love Jessie Mihalik. Her series is so much fun. I’m also pleased to see you feature Vivien. She’s a fantastic writer.
I love both of their works and really all of these are favorites in this genre of scifi romance I defined.
You’ve finally stumped me, Anne💜 I can’t think of a single series in this genre.

I love the Jessie Mihalik series! (Her new one’s good, too.) And I’m going to have to check out Wanted and Wired. It looks fun, too. 😀
These are all great series. They vary in the scifi whether it’s aliens or tech or space military. They are all favorites of mine.
Honored to be mentioned in this great company! Lots of great reading here…

It’s my favorite author and I could also. I want to try the graphic audio version of one of them. This is my 2026 Read-along.
I don’t think I have read any of these series.
