Welcome back to the eighth annual Library Love Challenge hosted by Angel’s Book Nook & Books of My Heart.
We hope you will join us in celebrating and supporting libraries.
If you are like us; then you would like to purchase every book you want to read. And, well that can put a hurt on your wallet. One way to help lessen the hurt is to check out books (prints, ebooks, or audios) from the library. If you do this, it will help save you LOTS of money $$.
Getting a library card in most places is FREE. So, if you love to read and/or listen to books then grab your library card and join the challenge.
The Deets
❤️ Runs: January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024. You can join anytime. The sign-up will remain open until Dec. 1st, 2024.
❤️ The goal is to find your love of your local library and to read at least twelve (12) books from the library, but you can read more. While twelve is the minimum; there is no maximum limit. See the different levels below and pick the one that works best for you.
❤️ Any format will work for this challenge (prints, ebooks, or audios) as long as you checked it out from the library, it counts.
❤️ Books can be any genre (fiction, nonfiction, romance, fantasy, mystery, thriller, horror, etc.).
❤️ Crossovers from other reading challenges are allowed, including re-reads. The goal is to support your local library and save money.
❤️ You do not have to be a book blogger to participate; you can track your progress on Goodreads, Facebook, LibraryThing, etc.
❤️ If you’re a blogger grab the button and do a quick post about the challenge to help spread the word. If you’re not a blogger you can help by posting on Facebook, Tweet, or Instagram about the challenge. Please link back to both hosts: Angel’s Book Nook & Books of My Heart
❤️ As an added bonus: We’re offering up a GIVEAWAY with this Challenge. Winner will be picked at the end of the year!! We will have an Audiobook Challenge (May-June), the Library BINGO (July-Aug.), & lastly an End Of Year Check-In (Dec. 15th). Each added challenge will have a fun giveaway plus the MAIN giveaway.
❤️ (Optional) Reviews: Write a review to enter the giveaway – 2 sentences or an essay, whatever works for you, but there is a minimum of 2 sentences. Not sure what to write? How about something like; “The plot was a delight, but the characters didn’t capture me.” “I enjoyed the story and really liked the characters.”

I read all types of books but my favorites are urban fantasy and romantic suspense.I like some romance and some action / adventure / mystery in everything.I like sex in my books but please, only between TWO people.Intimate conversation is equally important to the sex in a book.It lets me see the characters.The other thing I enjoy is humor.

Great to have you with us Carole. We are rather low key but big supporters of the library. It doesn’t seem to matter what I choose as all my reading sources are on fire.
I love my library! Health issues have kept me homebound for a while now, and the library offering e-books has made things so much more bearable for me. It’s so easy to go online and choose something to read, and have it drop into my e-reader.
I think I’ll see if I can do the Library Addict card. I’ll read far more than that, because I do buy ebooks on the regular if I find them on sale at Amazon, but some ebooks are never on sale. Which is why libraries exist.

Hi, Anne! I keep trying to add my link, but when I add my thumbnail, I am offered two options: Done, or Remove. If I click “Done,” it says “Close this window?” but never submits my link. If I click “Remove,” it says “Remove this image?” (which I don’t want to do. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but I haven’t been able to sign up for going on two days now. Any ideas?

I am looking forward to doing the 2024 challenge this year, I chose a moderate number of 25 books but knowing my reading habits I will fall between the overdrive junkie and library addict.
Glad to have you with us Deb. I always think about how many library books I can read in a week and think 1 a week is 52 books a year so a stretch would be 60. But I always blow that away. Just like I think with Goodreads 5 books a week (250 for the year) is so many but I’m always above it.
I came across this challenge and hope to read a lot more books this year than I did last year. My goal is to read 250 books by the end of 2024. I set up a hard goal because I know I can do it given the fact that I usually read about 2-3 books a week. I will have to up my game by reading 5 books per week for 52 weeks.
Thank you for joining us. I hope it goes well for you. For me, to increase my reading I added audiobooks. I listen to audio in the daytime when running errands, doing chores, etc. At bedtime, I read ebooks. An audio or an ebook may take 2 – 3 days but then I’ll have one of each finished.
I’m really looking forward to participating in this challenge this year. It will be my first time, but I have high hopes 😀

I’m looking forward to this challenge, but am having a hard time adding to the linky, I get to the image and when I click done, it closes and doesn’t add me. It goes back to the box that says next and just goes back to the add image. Not sure what to do.
