I like seeing your top 10 audiobooks. Lots of narrators and books that I didn’t know of. I like Kelley Armstrong’s books, but haven’t listened to any of them and haven’t started the Haven’s Rock series yet as I still have the finish the series before that. I look forward to the rest of your top ten lists!
Thank you Lola. I appreciate your participating. It’s so fun to see the other book lists and honor other authors. Ten is too few.
Great lists! I’m not a big fan of audiobooks but I love how mainstream they’re becoming!
Thanks Elizabeth. Audiobooks helped me double what I read in a year because they lend themselves to chores, errands, crafting, etc. The narrators often really add to the emotional tone of the story as well. So they are primary in my reading many days.
Didn’t realize Teddy Hamilton was one of the narrators on Fourth Wing! I do love him, so that would be helpful probably for me to listen to a fantasy audiobook.
I won’t discourage you from reading or listening to Fourth Wing or Iron Flame but Teddy’s part is very small. Also it’s fantasy ROMANCE so you should feel right at home. It’s just a step beyond YA as they are quite young yet.
So many great authors are up here on this list! It would be hard to narrow it down to 10.
yes obviously I couldn’t!
That is always the challenge
I loved Fourth Wing, Last to Die, Thank You For Listening from your lists. I listened to my first Karin Slaughter book this year, Pretty Girls. So good. I’m also listening to a Kelley Armstrong series where the modern female cop gets sent back to the 1800’s where a serial killer is killing women. I can’t think of the name but it’s really good too. Also, Forevermore by Dannika Dark-her Crossbreed series finale. Wonderful series.
All good choices. The Kelley Armstrong series is A Rip Through Time. The second book Poisoner’s Ring came out this year and is on my lists. Kelley Armstrong was a multi winner this year.
Great lists. I read so fast and don’t have the patience for audiobooks. lol
I like audiobooks for while I am doing other work at the same time. It helped me double the amount of books I read.
Yes I agree, Fourth Wing, Murder at Haven’s Rock, The Last Devil to Die and the Orphan X were fab audios! They all make my list of favorites for 2023.
It was so hard picking. So many great reads.
I did a combination of reading/listening to Fourth Wing and agree that the audio version was a good one. I found myself wishing there had been more from Xaden’s POV because I adore Teddy Hamilton. 🙂
I was not so familiar with Teddy Hamilton so this gave me a taste. Maybe he will be more in future books. Being such a small part of his POV keeps his secrets though.
I see a few familiar voices!!
I hope you would as these are top audiobooks for the year.
Ooh! After That Night will definitely end up on my list of favorites for the year. That Yarros series is screaming at me.
yes the Yarros series will scream at you even after you have listened to it.
The Fragile Threads of Power and Fourth Wing audiobooks were two of my favorites this year too!
They were both excellent. I was so excited to have a followup in the world of A Darker Shade of Magic! It didn’t seem to get much fanfare but I loved it a lot.
