Oh these are all great picks for a top ten list. I totally could’ve done a new to me type of top ten list. I like trying new to me authors, so it’s fun to see your lists on these topics. As well as Anna’s on series you finally started and loved, I have quite a bunch of those series too that I really want to get to, although I don’t think I’ve started many in 2023. I heard a lot of good things about the Iron Druid Chronicles. And Travis Baldree I want to check out too as I love the cozy fantasy series and keep hearing good things about these books.
Yes…I love finding new series to start and love, or even getting to a series I’ve wanted to read but just haven’t started yet.
I also need/want to give the Iron Druid Chronicles a chance. I started it years ago, made it to book three and then lost the group I was reading with, time to do a redo.
Robin I wish you’d read with us this year on the Read-along. It was fun.
Me too. I just didn’t have time with my current job to fit it in. Alas, new job in a few months so maybe it will be better then 🙂
I could do 3 or 4 different My Choice Top 10 lists. I really like yours Lola
I also discovered Travis Baldree this year and loved Bookshops & Bonedust. I’m looking forward to going back and reading Legends & Lattes😁
It was a really great cozy mystery. I look forward to what Travis is going to come up with next in the series.
@Anne. Heartstrikers is such a great series, glad you finally got to it. I also loved the two books of the Villians series I’ve read by VE Schwab.
@Sophia Marrying Off Morgan McBride looks like it will make it onto my tbr in 2024 list too.
I also really want to start the Empryean series, A Rip Through Time by Kelly Armstrong and I’m going to read the last 3 books of the Red Rising Saga this year.
Robin I loved The Empyrean series and the Kelley Armstrong series. I own all the Red Rising books on audio and have yet to read them.
Oh…They are intense. I’ve read the first three multiple times, I was just waiting for the second trilogy to be done to start. Now I just need time for 60+ hours of awesomeness.
Intense is accurate. I’ve only read the first and I will have to schedule carefully because that intensity can be rough to handle.
Lots of good picks! Some that are on my TBR for this coming year, and then of course Penny Reid’s books are all my favorites! I also need to get the Legends and Lattes read soon! I put a hold on the audiobook from the library, but it has a lot of people waiting!
I know how it is Lisa. I’ve had a hold on Lessons in Chemistry like most of the year. It’s come available but at times I couldn’t read it so I pushed it out.
Lesson’s in Chemistry is also on my 2024 list of books to get to.
Heartstrikers series by Rachel Aaron!!!!
I love the Heartstrikers so much!!! I buddy read it with Jen.
I didn’t realize you’d gotten to the Evil Trilogy! Now you’re ready for Lucy Kincaid. When you’re ready, let me know because we maintained a reading order list (it crisscrosses with another series).
Don’t I need to read the other trilogies before I start on the Lucy Kincaid series? yes I’d love to have the reading order you determined. Because I want to read them all. Some are no longer available on audio!
You’re right. I got ahead of myself. Here’s the link to the list:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/19798001-trilogies-lucy-kincaid-max-revere-by-allison-brennan
Thanks so much. I only have the two trilogies before I can get into Lucy Kincaid. But the first one doesn’t seem to be available on audio anymore.
I added my post in. I also loved the Empryean series, Iron Druid, and No Evil series, Anne!
Sophia, I loved Morgan McBride, Play For Me and City Under One Roof, too! I’m looking forward to the next Berry and Yamashita!
Great lists, ladies!
I loved the ones you added. So many of my favorites in my favorite genres.
