The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly  @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week, and showcase books and things we have received.

Don’t forget to look at my giveaways on the right sidebar.

Sunday,  I woke early to get the dogs out before the rain. Then I could keep them quiet in the office until my daughter got up.  Abbey barked for awhile last night at bedtime. I forgot to say last week I was so glad to do some freezer organizing and inventorying. I did my usual Sunday visiting.  By late afternoon, it cleared enough we were able to walk the dogs before dinner. Everything smelled clean and fresh.  I noticed the geraniums were just starting to bloom. Abbey barked at bedtime for less time than the night before.

Monday, Lulu the stinker barked early this morning.  I hurried to let them out and then went back and took my shower.  I gave them each a chew and they didn’t bark while I was showering. I looked up the non rain times today and it’s 1:30-2:30 so that is when we will walk.  I planned out an errand run for tomorrow.  I wasn’t going to do it after going yesterday to BJs but I got some birthday coupons for free things and I’m going to cash in on those.   I wrote a review.  I looked over my wishlist and tried to figure out how to use my 6 credits since I haven’t used them and my current membership is over at the end of May.  I found some excellent choices for them. After dinner, I loaded the car with the old printers, batteries and stuff to take to the recycle center. The barking didn’t go very long and we didn’t get loud thunderstorms I worried about. So I slept well.

Tuesday, the barking happened a lot this morning.  Abbey barked because she wanted Lulu’s food. She wouldn’t eat her own food.  In the end, Lulu ate Abbey’s food and Abbey ate Lulu’s food.   Other than special adds, they are now getting the same thing the Honest Kitchen without adds or the same adds. I left a little late on the errand run.  I went to Wake County Recycling to get rid of old batteries, the two old printers, the old Ninja base and a few other things. Then to Culvers for my free scoop with one topping for my birthday. Next I drove to the Outlet Center and found they did not have a Revere / Corelle store, so I got confused on that one.  I went back towards home stopping at Aldi for a few items and saw they had the cheesecake sampler they normally only have once a year!  Then I went to Papa Murphy’s and got my free birthday pizza.  On the way home and all of a sudden the pressure in my tire was dropping fast.  I stopped at BJ’s and filled all the tires.  I barely made it another 5 miles to the Discount Tire and was down to 18!  Luckily, they fixed it very quickly, less than a half hour and for free!   I was so worried I wouldn’t make it there or home or they would be too busy to do it.   At home, we ate pizza and relaxed finally.  No barking at bedtime.

Wednesday,  Lulu started barking before the alarm. I let her out; Abbey was still sleeping. I quick went to take my shower and get dressed.  Then I let them both out again and ate breakfast.  I gave them the exact same food.  Neither ate their own food and Abbey went right for Lulu’s food and ate it, wouldn’t eat her own (so later Lulu did).  We went upstairs and I did a bunch of computer tasks. Blog visiting and planning for my upcoming reading.  My daughter had a telehealth appt at 12:40 which I prepped questions for it. We waited an hour in the online link and then they cancelled it.  I called to find out what the heck?   I had Audible credits to use up.  I haven’t used any yet from my current plan.  So I used 5 of 6 today. The time between thunderstorms started at 4:30 so that is when we walked Lulu and Abbey.  I saw that my white gardenia and purple asters are just starting to bloom. Abbey barked a lot at bedtime.

Thursday, I managed to get showered and dressed and get the dogs out with no barking. after breakfast, we went to the office where they are sleeping and I am doing the usual. We walked the dogs at noon since it’s going to heat up today.  I pulled some weeds and started taking down the snow peas since they aren’t producing and I need the space for the warm season crops. I picked some carrots.  I also picked from chard for dinner. The first daylily bloomed today.

Friday,  the dogs started barking even before it was light.  I let them out and went to shower and dress.  It didn’t completely work. Abbey started barking before I finished dressing.  But I got them fed, upstairs and now quiet.  We finally had our appt at noon.  We talked about one of my daughter’s medications and also her ears are still having too much liquid. She can’t be on Sudafed forever.  She is switching her allergy med and getting referred to an ENT.  We walked after the appt.  I saw that the gardenia and asters are starting to bloom. After dinner, we watched the first two episodes of Murderbot.  The neighbor’s plane was delayed but she came to pickup Abbey.

Saturday, I had the kind of day where I just do things in my own order, at home, which is my favorite.  I need to do some yard stuff but it’s been warm the last few days.  I think I’ll wait until it cools down a bit in a couple days.

Sunday,    the Clean Sweep chat is this afternoon!

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by  Reading Reality.  These are the exciting ARCs I received this week (If you click on the cover, it will take you to the Goodreads entry):

36 Hours Audiobook By Angela Marsons cover art Nothing Stays Buried Audiobook By P. J. Tracy cover art

Triptych Audiobook By Karin Slaughter cover art Who Will Remember Audiobook By C. S. Harris cover art

I used my Audible credits to purchase these since they expire at the end of the month.  I was excited to get Triptych just re-released 5/13/25 with Kathleen Early as the narrator now.

Now the really scary one. This is all the Kindle and Audible freebies I grabbed this past week. You can see why I need to do Thrifty Thursday to be sure I read a few at least one each month.

Black Water Murder: A Hunters Crime Thriller (The Hunters Book 3)

Chirp Friday freebies:

I really meant to cut back on freebies BUT  they are free so I guess that won’t be happening.

I’m not including things like reviews posted or upcoming as they are always in the right sidebar. And, my challenge status is also there.

  1. Look at cutie Lulu💜 She’s knocked out😏

Ooh, I need to add Apostle’s Cove! Some great acquisitions this week, too. All your Audible credit buys are series i follow. Have you started Will Trent?

Have a wonderful week of reading, Anne!

    • Lulu snuggles in with her toys. It’s hilarious. Oh yes I have read all of Will Trent, and Grant County. I just wanted to collect them for a reread at some point. The first one was never on sale anywhere and a different narrator which was exciting since now it has been redone with Kathleen Early. I almost used a credit for it a couple months ago and now I am SO glad I didn’t because now I got the redo.

  2. I love the fact that Abby and Lulu eat each other’s food, despite not being any different. And I hope the barking calms down in due course. I love the pic of your hydranga. Once we have the garden relandscaped, I’m going to get at least one hydranga, as I absolutely love them. Your Audible buys look good – I topped up my Kindle before my trip to the States, but didn’t read as much as I’d thought, so still have quite a few to get through. Have a good week, Anne.

  3. The dogs eating each others food even though its exactly the same reminds me of little kids. They always want what the other has, despite it being identical. Hopefully the ent can help your daughter. I still have to take sudafed for chunks of the year when my allergies are bad. It’s unfortunate for sure.

  4. Busy week! Wonder why the dogs are being ornery and barking so much. Happy birthday! What are you doing for your birthday besides your scoop of ice cream? I am starting to have some of the vertigo I’ve had in years past. I wish I could find a doctor who actually knew how to do the Epley maneuver and could show me. I’ve watched all the videos online and read all the things about how to do it, but I don’t think I’m doing it right. I hope you have a good week!

  5. I love getting all the birthday coupons and freebies to use around our birthday weeks. In fact, we were just plotting out a visit to Red Robin so my hubby could get his free birthday burger. 🙂
Too bad about the dogs barking and getting you up early and grr, on the wait and then cancelled telehealth call.
I’m so glad you were able to safely get to the tire store for that tire.
Nice haul of books and audiobooks!

    Have a good week, Anne!

  6. Isn’t it funny how animals want what the other one has? My cats will want each other’s food, too. I guess little kids do the same thing with toys. Your gardenia and hydrangea are beautiful! I need to yank out some of my cooler veg items out of the garden, as well.

I had fun on the chat, too! Did you like the Murderbot film adaptation?

  7. I also had accumulated a large number of audible credits so a few months ago I preordered books and then cancelled the subscription. I now get a credit every month with Amazon Music so I likely will just keep doing this as it’s cheaper. I hope your dogs let you sleep in longer and that your daughter ear issues are rectified soon. Have a great week.

  8. Those flowers are lovely. Glad the tire issue worked out for you! Last week was the first with the kids home. Neither started their jobs by then but were able to get their stuff stored for the summer, laundry done, etc. My daughter and I are catching up on shows (like Will Trent). My husband and I finished Andor. It was a pretty good week.

  9. That sounds like a struggle with your dogs barking so much. Happy birthday, that’s nice you got some free stuff. And that’s good timing you made it to the place to get your tires fixed before the pressure dropped too low. Hopefully they can get the liquid in your daughter’s ears figured out. Neat you managed to sue most of your audible credits and have new audios to listen to now. Have a great week!

  10. Sounds like the puppers are keeping you on your toes. We have new neighbors, they’ve been here about a week. The dogs are unsure about noises coming in from next door when it’s been silent for months. Personally, my verdict is still out on them too but trying to remain positive.

My hostas have been growing by leaps and bounds and that is about the extent of my gardening – haha! Hope you have a wonderful week and that the new meds help your daughter.

  11. I grew up with Shelties who did a lot of barking and when one started the others would start. I got to where I don’t really hear dog barking which is unfortunate for my husband because while my dog isn’t much of a barker when he does bark I don’t always correct him. I’m about to start the Nora Roberts and am really looking forward to it.
