She's everywhere.
Ex-wife.
Love of his life.
The last person in the world he wanted to see...ever.
And now that he's working beside her every day, he can't escape her. Her scent, glimpses of her smile, even the tension in the air that makes his body hum with the kind of need he'd only experienced with one person-all of it is driving him over the edge.
Brant Wellington was certain of three things:
Alcohol wasn't going to solve this.
He really was losing his F-ing mind.
And his gorgeous ex-wife was going to be the death of him.
The Bachelors of Arizona series is a guilty pleasure I can’t regret reading. It’s ridiculous but so sort of campy and funny. The characters are impossible and larger than life. Even the side characters have personality and are developed well enough to know them. The relationship between the brothers is hilarious, but even more Grandpa and now “Grandma Nadine.”
This was fun and sexy. Even though there is always some character angst over some issue, they eventually grow into dealing with their past. There is a lot of grief in the history of this couple; they were married very young. Nikki has managed well considering everything. Brant is a hot mess, using alcohol to block out all feelings.
I especially enjoyed Cole, well not at first, as he was Nikki’s boss and friend. He plays a key role. I wouldn’t mind seeing another book featuring him! As crazy as this series is, I loved it for the laughs and the feels and the heat. I really recommend it.
Giggle-worthy quote:
“He’s not…” Her eyes widened. “Oh hell, he is technically our boss, isn’t he?”
“Sleeping your way to the top. I’ve never been prouder to call you friend.”
