Half-Moon Hollow’s supernatural social event of the season—Zeb’s Titanic-themed werewolf wedding—is coming up, and Dick Cheney (not that Dick Cheney!) needs a date. But Andrea’s had enough of clever, handsome, and rakish to last a lifetime, and Dick Cheney is certainly not the sort of man you bring home to mom (not that Andrea’s deadist parents are speaking to her ever since she dropped out of college and became a blood surrogate.) Shameless, relentless, roguish, with a Stetson-worthy swagger, a naughty sparkle in his eyes, and a constant smirk—oh, and fangs—no, Dick is the last person (er…vampire) Andrea wants to date.

But the infuriatingly irresistible man who lives quietly on the edge of a criminal underworld knows exactly what he wants, and once he surprises Andrea with a thrilling hot and dirty kiss behind the paranormal bookshop, she knows what she wants too: Dick. All it takes to ignite their unconventional courtship is a near-undeath experience that confronts Dick with a choice between turning Andrea, losing her forever, or tapping into his countless shady resources in this hilarious and heartwarming enovella that revisits the early days of Molly Harper’s Nice Girls series—one that “makes me laugh and laugh”

My favorite character in the Half-Moon Hollow series is Dick Cheney.   I love Dick!  He makes me laugh and sometimes it is just what a person needs.  Yeah, I know, he can be kind of shady, but who doesn’t love a bad boy? Especially if he’s hot.  Really, once you get to know Dick, he’s more though.

I ended up buying this book as both an ebook and the audio and saving it like a reward.  So finally I listened to it! It wasn’t exactly what I expected. The point of view is from Andrea.  Still, there is plenty of Dick.  And this is the story of Andrea falling in love with Dick. Since I already love Dick, it was easy to relate to this process.

Fangs for the Memories is short and fun. I highly recommend it. I’d also love a story more from Dick’s point of view. Just saying. There can’t be too much Dick.

Narration:

Amanda Ronconi is the voice of the Half-Moon Hollow series, and most of the Molly Harper books. I love her narration with its snarky, well-timed voices.  She is the reason this series is an audio-preferred one for me. I was able to listen at my usual 1.25 speed.  The performance only enhanced my love of the story.

  1. Nice review! Dick Cheney is a fun character for this series. It’s been a while since I read one of the books, but remember some of it. I need to return and pick up the ones I have’t yet read… This is one of them.

    • It’s hard to fit in the novellas. Often the library doesn’t have them in any format which means purchasing them. I try to get them on sale. I really like it when authors put all their novellas in an anthology book so I can just buy them all together.

    • Between Dick and the narration of Amanda Ronconi, it’s one of my very favorite audio series.
