The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received.
Don’t forget to look at my giveaways on the right sidebar.
So I got a huge book haul this week. I have so many things I want to read. I’ve got everything set up for the reviews I’ve planned but I had a bunch of shuffling to do for March. Some books got moved to different release dates and one I planned to review the audiobook isn’t going to have an audiobook.
My daughter has had some migraines. She is doing fine with school and her group therapy. She started with a new individual therapist this week. We still didn’t get to the YMCA. I did manage to do some sewing and knitting.
For the love of God, stop raining! It rained all week and I’m looking forward to less rain this week with more normal 50-60F temperatures. I want to grill on the BBQ, eat salads and smoothies. I’m tired of winter food.
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality. These are the exciting ARCs I received this week:
Finder Kingdom of Exiles Mahimata
Westside Sweet Wild of Mine Secrets Never Die
Wow, it’s a bang up week for ARCs. Thank you so much AceRoc / Berkley Publishing, Sourcebooks Casablanca, Harper Voyager, Brilliance Audio, and Tantor Audio.
Changeling The Man with a Load of Mischief
A Kiss Before the Apocalypse Six of Crows
I succumbed to an Audible Daily Deal from a favorite author / narrator (Amanda Ronconi). Then there was this week’s Audible sale of first in a series. I picked the ones I couldn’t get on audio at the library with narrators I love (Steve West, Luke Daniels).
Now the really scary one. This is all the Kindle and Audible freebies I grabbed this past week. You can see why I need to do Thrifty Thursday to be sure I read a few at least one each month.
I really meant to cut back on freebies BUT they are free so I guess that won’t be happening.
I’m not including things like reviews posted or upcoming as they are always in the right sidebar. And, my challenge status is also there.
If you like this and want to see me do the Sunday post, as often as I can manage, leave me a comment and let me know.

A very nice haul indeed. I can’t resist freebies either. Found some wonderful authors that way! Happy reading and I hope you see some sunshine:)
IKR??!?! I get many first book in a series as freebies which helps me identify amazing authors and series. The freebies DO serve a great purpose for me. 4 of 6 freebies I got this week are by authors whose name I see all the time and have yet to read. Thrifty Thursday, here they come.
The rain was supposed to end around noon and be cloudy yet today but it is clear and sunny now!!! It’s also windy so it came in faster I guess. Finally this week will be more normal with temps in the 50s and not raining every day! YES!!!! The sun today just makes me feel energetic again. Although I stayed up to 4am reading so….
Have a great week Laura!
Great book haul. I’m always eyeing Melinda Leigh’s books. I haven’t read any yet, but they look so good. I’m still buying freebies, too. I have no idea when I’ll get to read them, but they are free so I figure it’s okay 🙂 Hope you have a great week!
I seriously LOVE the Morgan Dane series by Melinda Leigh. I was turned on to it by Sophia Rose. I got the audio through KU and now the newest I am reviewing. They are all 4-5 star books for me, romantic suspense at its finest.
I tried one and was hooked. Happy reading!
The rain has got to stop before my whole town is under water. There is another river flood warning until Thursday. I’m over it. My house is covered in muddy paw prints.
But, that is a seriously awesome book haul!
I don’t mind light rain or warm rain or a day of hard rain. But 7 days in a row of rain with temps in the 40s (5C) is not a happy thing. I’s focused on reading and crafting when I didn’t have to be out and about.
Yes my dreams are coming true on my ARC requests. I tried to rein in my purchases since I do have plenty of credits right now but these were cheaper than credits and not at the library.
Wishing you some dry, sunny weather this week!
I have a bad freebie habit too. =)
Lots of awesome books and I like taking advantage of some of Audibles deals sometimes.
When they had that buy 1 and get 2 free. I grabbed a bunch. I can’t wait to listen to them!
Have a great week.
Mary Sunday Roundup #59 @ SMBS!
I don’t worry so much about the freebies as they are up in the cloud but the ARCs and purchases I want to schedule into my reading. And this weekend, until today it was all about library books coming due. Ah deadlines. But at least we finally have a little sun. Happy reading and listening!
WOW it was nice week on your book haul. I succumb to the Audible First -in-a-Series Sale and bought a whole bunch of audio books, some in series I’ve already read/listen, but others I’ve not yet tried. I looked at my library to see if they had the audios and they didn’t, but did have the books though I wanted to try the audios so, over bought this week ^_^. Oh well it was a deal. I love deals. That’s good your daughter is doing well with school and group therapy. Well I hope you have a wonderful week and happy reading!
Yes it was an overwhelming book haul week. But I console myself because they are releasing over the next 4 months not all in March or anything. Have a great week!
Sounds like you might need to start building your own ark for all that rain. 🙂 Ah, poor girl with having to deal with migraines. I’m having sympathy nausea just thinking about it.
Yay for being ahead on posts which makes it easier when you have to shift them around. Very nice haul. I picked up Secrets Never Die for review, too, and I caught two books from the audio sale- a Louis L’Amour and a Diana Gabaldon.
Hope you have a good week, Anne!
I know Zofran / Ondansetron is her friend this week. UGH. She’s been better since Wednesday.
Thanks. It’s a great haul week. I can’t wait to get into Secrets Never Die. I LOVE that series so much! Have a great week Sophia!
Ooh grilled food is the best. Now I want some haha! And I hope your daughter gets a break from the migraines.
Secrets Never Die looks fun!
Have an awesome week!
Thanks. It was 60 and sunny finally today. I would have grilled if I hadn’t been so busy cleaning and doing laundry and running errands. The sun energized me. I can’t wait to grill this week. And it SO much easier now with a gas grill. I remember using charcoal and lighter fluid. Salmon and tuna steaks, as well as regular steaks and chicken. I can think of so many things I want to grill. I have all the veggies for kebabs and fresh pineapple too. Mmmm.
The Melinda Leigh series are really great. It’s romantic suspense but the romance is a background story to mostly it’s action packed and smart investigating. Enjoy your week!
Ooh I absolutely love grilled pineapple! And of course fish too. mmm. !!
We have had a ton of rain around here as well. I don’t really think that my family eats differently in the summer than we do in winter except we have more BBQ. I am sorry to hear that your daughter has been having a lot of migraines. Those are terrible. Lots of great looking new books this week. I hope you enjoy them all, Anne!
My daughter doesn’t eat differently but I do. I grill more in warmer weather and bake more in the colder months. I used to only eat soup or pot roast in the winter but since they are stovetop, they are year round now. Also I eat more salads, smoothies and fresh fruit in the warmer months.
I hope you have a wonderful week and find some really enjoyable books!
I love Melinda Leigh’s books, and I need to catch up on her newest ones.
Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
I’ve only read the one series from Melinda Leigh but I want to read the other series also. Have a lovely week!
You’re not kidding, that’s quite the book haul! And, yes, PLEASE stop the rain.
I know they all arrived last week. But they are for over 4 months of time.
Finally sun! But next week I see 40s / 20s again and maybe snow! It’s our spring break too. Bummer.
Some great books. It finally stopped raining and the sun has been out for the second day in a row. Gotta finish my patio cleanup before it decides to rain again. lol
Great idea. It was so windy yesterday but I haven’t raked leaves for 2 weeks. If the weather is nice for a few more days, there will be weeds to pull, too. Have a lovely week!
I have been wanting to try Terry Spears wolf series.
I have and I think I have at least 2 of them but they are not book 1. Well I will get there. I just have many things I really want to read, as usual.
You did get a lot off books. I got a few. I’m still working my way through my lists. I’ve been doing some shuffling on both blogs too. I hope you have a great week.
Melanie @ Hot Listens & Books of My Heart
I’m always shuffling things on my lists. But at least the books are over about 4 months release. I hope your week goes well!
I’m tired of winter as well. I’ve actually had cravings for smoothies recently and looked around for recipes. LOL.
I’m sorry about your daughter’s migraines, hope she feels better soon.
Changeling sounds like a fun read/listen.
My daughter’s therapy group is actually going out for smoothies today for their social activity. Thank goodness it is sunny. This week is a break with more sun and 50-60 but next week, rain and even snow!
Audible daily deal and a favorite author/ narrator combo, how could I resist?
I hope it’s nice where you are and you read the most amazing books this week!
So excited to see the Martha Grimes in your list! I love Richard Jury though it’s been years since I read any of the series. I’d really like to go back to the beginning but I’m not sure I’ll ever really have the time. Hope you’re having a great week and you get some sun and warmth!
I love Richard Jury / Martha Grimes. I’ve read them all. But now realizing STEVE WEST is the narrator I’ll be collecting them for a reread. If I think I won’t have time, I just do once a month like I do the Read-along. Of course there are 800 series I want to read RIGHT NOW. lol Have a lovely week!
Awesome haul! Spring cannot get here fast enough. I hope you dry up, make it the YMCA and that your daughter feels better.
Agree. Agree. Agree. Agree. Agree. It is finally sunny and 50-60s this week but next week colder and snow! So instead of getting out and having fun on spring break, we’ll be staying in. Well there is reading, cleaning, cooking and crafting to do. My daughter has been doing better this week. I hope you are feeling better. It’s been a tough winter there.
I’m always a fan of your haul posts and totally with you on the rain and winter food. It was excessive! Nice to see the sun again and have a warm day. I hope you enjoy all your new reads, Anne!
Thanks Jennifer. I hope you are enjoying this week. Next week looks dismal. But at least after that with daylight savings time, it will be light later so easier to grill for dinner.
We’ve been getting a lot of rain here in Southern California, and in Northern California, too, where I spend just about every other weekend. This is unusual for us, but we desperately needed the water. We’ve had a few lovely days, but I think we’ve got some days of rain coming again. Hope the weather improves for you, Anne!
I love Luke Daniels, Steve West, and Amanda Ronconi as narrators as well. I’ll have to check out your audios. 🙂
After a measly 3 days, it’s back to forecast of 5 more days of rain.
Anyone who knows audio is going to love Steve West, Luke Daniels and Amanda Ronconi! I’m also partial to Gabra Zackman, Simon Vance, Davina Porter and many, many others. I have really glommed on to audiobook love.
Anne I am so sorry to hear about the migraines! My daughter is suffering from them since she was six years old! Now she seems doing better thanks to new medicine but I do know how hard it can be and on the mom too as we are feeling helpless! I hope next week will be smoother for her.
Thank you . This week has been better. My daughter didn’t get them until she got her periods.
I hope your week is headache free and full of some great books!
Your new books look great. I love the look and sound of ‘Sweet Wild of Mine’.
I hope the weather clears up soon. Here the weather has been great. Today broke the weather record for highest measured temperature in February.
Have a great week and happy reading.
Thank you! We had 3 days of sun and now they predict 5 more days of rain and then maybe snow!!!!
Sweet Wild of Mine is the second in the series and I really liked the first one – Wild on My Mind, or I probably wouldn’t have requested the next one. Have a lovely week!
The cover on Find My Way Home is cute, happy reading.
I hope she’s feeling better. I know how painful the migraines are.
I picked that book since it is set in NC and I live there. Thankfully the migraines have been better. The fatigue is still hitting us with the cloudy, dreary weather. Have a wonderful weekend!
I am so sorry about your daughter having migraines! I first started having them when I was about 12 or so, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
I’m sick of the rain as well. The past few days have been almost spring-like, but we’ve been getting a lot of rain overnight and everything is threatening to flood over at this point. The temps are going to drop again soon though. I’m just read for sun and some heat.
Thankfully this week has been better for the migraines. Yesterday was actually really nice but today it rained again. It’s supposed to be mostly clear and colder next week. We will see. They originally said snow but that is not forecast anymore. Have a lovely weekend, hopefully with sun!
