Twelve humans are left stranded on a wintry alien planet. I’m one of them. Yay, me.

In order to survive, we have to take on a symbiont that wants to rewire our bodies to live in this brutal place. I like to call it a cootie. And my cootie’s a jerk, because it also thinks I’m the mate to the biggest, surliest alien of the group.

I went a little down a rabbit hole for a little while with this series and devoured quite a few books.  All of the stories are new pairings between humans and the Ice planet aliens.  Everyone has a symbiont in them and when the little cootie decides you’d make good babies with someone it goes a little crazy and you get a huge mating drive with that person.

This one involves a small kidnapping so that Raahosh can get Liz all to himself because stubborn human that she is, she is fighting the mating drive with all that she has.  Time to hold up in a cave with her to prove why he’d be a great mate.

Narration:

Hollie Jackson and Mason Lloyd are no slouches when it comes to narration and do a fantastic job with the dual PoVs.  I’ve enjoyed them through this entire series.

As one of the few humans stranded on the ice planet, I should be happy that I have a new home. Human women are treasured here, and one alien in particular has made it clear that he wants me. It's hard to push away the sexy, flirtatious Aehako, when all I want to do is grab him by his horns and insist he take me to his furs.

But I've got a terrible secret - the aliens who abducted me are back, and thanks to the translator in my ear, they can find me. My presence here endangers everyone... but can I give up my new life and the man I want more than anything?

Kira has a cootie just like everyone else but hers is never going to go off since it is all based on who you can make a baby with and she was told she could never have kids.  Aehako might not have resonated for her yet be he knows deep down that Kira is ‘the one’ and he is going to prove it to her.

They just need to get that translator/tracker out of her ear because the aliens that initially abducted her on in their way back and want their cargo.  Aehako is the best by the way.

The ice planet has given me a second lease on life, so I'm thrilled to be here. Sure, there's no cheeseburgers, but I'm healthy and ready to be a productive member of the small tribe.

What I didn't anticipate? That there'd be a savage stranger waiting nearby, watching me. And when he takes me captive, the unthinkable happens... I resonate to him.

Resonance means mating, and children... but I don't know if this guy's ever been around anyone before. He's truly a barbarian in all ways, right down to clubbing me over the head and claiming me as his own.

So why is it that I crave his touch and hunger for more?

Just when you thought you knew all the big blue aliens on the planet a new one shows up and takes off with one of the girls.  They don’t share a common language and Harlow was just conked over the head and carried off true caveman style.

I loved how they learned how to communicate with each other and who her big blue alien turned out to be.

It’s hard being the most popular girl on the ice planet. The alien men are falling all over themselves to impress me in the hopes that I’ll take them to my furs. But they don’t know my secrets – none of them do. And they don’t realize that behind my smile, I just wish they’d go away.

I don’t want any of them. I want someone else – someone with a gorgeous blue body, big horns, and the most intense gaze ever. He’s the only one that knows the truth. Maybe with him, I can work through my fears of the past….but I’m pretty sure he wants more than just friendship.

He wants forever, and I’m not sure I can give it.

Another day another big blue Alien to steal my beating heart. I love Salukh and how he is a patient hunter, he will find a way to make Tiffany his.  While all the other men are trying to win her through something akin to a game show competition

Salukh is going to help her overcome her touch aversion after being raped by her alien abductors.  He is patient and will make sure she knows he is the big blue guy for her.

'Resonance' is supposed to be a dream - that's when your soulmate is chosen for you. And everyone on the ice planet has hooked up with a big, hunky soulmate of their own...except me. So do I want a mate? Heck yeah. More than anything, all I've ever wanted is to be loved by someone.

Except that the soulmate chosen for me? My least favorite person on the darn ice planet. Haeden's the most cranky, disapproving, unpleasant, overbearing male alien...so why is it that my body sings when he gets close? Why is he working so hard to prove to me that he's not as awful as I think he is?

I hate him...don't I?

Josie has been waiting for her IUD to fall out it seems like forever.  Just when it does and she is ready to get her resonance on her cootie decides that the guy she hates the most is a perfect match for her.  She isn’t excited about it and pretty much makes both their lives hell for most of this book.  Not my favorite of the series but I did enjoy Haeden and was so sad for how his previous mating went.

All's fair in love and anarchy. . .

'Supernova', the epic conclusion to 'New York Times' best-selling author Marissa Meyer's thrilling Renegades Trilogy, finds Nova and Adrian struggling to keep their secret identities concealed while the battle rages on between their alter egos, their allies, and their greatest fears come to life. Secrets, lies, and betrayals are revealed as anarchy once again threatens to reclaim Gatlon City.

She is a villain pretending to be a hero. He is the golden child of two heroes trying to prove himself, secretly. As Nova and Adrian, they are falling in love. As their alter ego’s Nightmare and The Sentinel they are arch enemies and in Supernova we will find out which relationship is stronger.  We will also have a big battle between good and evil and everyone is going to have to pick a side.

Narration:

Dan Bittner and Rebecca Soler are the narrators.  I loved Rebecca for the Lunar Chronicles and thought she did just as well here.  Dan really fit Adrian’s voice and I enjoyed his performance as well.  I was able to listen at my normal 1.5x speed.

Attacked and abducted in her home territory, Mercy finds herself in the clutches of the most powerful vampire in the world, taken as a weapon to use against alpha werewolf Adam and the ruler of the Tri-Cities vampires. In coyote form, Mercy escapes—only to find herself without money, without clothing, and alone in the heart of Europe...

Unable to contact Adam and the rest of the pack, Mercy has allies to find and enemies to fight, and she needs to figure out which is which. Ancient powers stir, and Mercy must be her agile best to avoid causing a war between vampires and werewolves, and between werewolves and werewolves. And in the heart of the ancient city of Prague, old ghosts rise.

As the 10th book of the series, you probably have an idea as to what the series is about.  The thing that is special about this book in the series is that the format changes and we get PoVs from both Mercy and Adam.

Mercy is kidnapped. If you were thinking Fae are the nabbers this time you’d be wrong because it is Marsilia’s old lover who decided that Mercy was the most powerful creature in the tristate area and decided to pick her up to hedge a little negotiation. I’m pretty sure it didn’t go the way he thought it would and someone might have given him a little questionable information on her power level.

In a race against time, Adam is trying to save Mercy, but she isn’t one that likes to wait to be saved and she will get in and out of trouble coyote-style, causing chaos everywhere she goes.

Narration:

Lorelei King has been the voice of Mercy forever and does a great job as per usual.  George Newbern was a good fit to Adam and I enjoyed his portrayal of the Alpha wolf.
