Secrets always catch up with you. The world knows me as Tavi Lightly, sugar-free social media influencer. But my true purpose lies in secretly restoring a cacao farm in Costa Rica. Unfortunately, to save the farm, I need access to the trust fund that my grandmother has frozen. She’s requiring me to do charity work in Tickled Pink, Wisconsin, and until I meet her ultimatum—no trust fund. So to Tickled Pink I go.
My first grandmother-approved charity project? Helping local reformed bad boy Dylan Wright. He has secrets too, like how he’s hung up on his married best friend. Kick-starting his dating life is as easy as making him famous through association with me.
Rich in Your Love is the second book in the Tickled Pink series and as I have not read the first book and read this one just fine, it can be read without reading the first book in the series. That said it was so much fun I do plan on going back to the first book in the series soon.
Tavi comes from a rich family and to the outside world she has led a charmed life. She is an influencer helping people with their vegan and fitness lifestyle while traveling the world to promote various products. But it is all a dirty lie; she eats meat and cheese and all the other delicious things in life including sugar and chocolate. She also runs ten miles a day trying to keep her mother’s voice out of her head telling her she doesn’t have the right genes to eat anything she wants if she wants to stay pretty and thin.
Levi was the town bad boy in high school. He knows he was a jerk and how many people he hurt in his sleepy little town. He is reformed; he doesn’t do jerk things anymore, like try to break the marriage of his best friend and the woman he thought was “the one”. He and Tavi had a slightly embarrassing moment awhile back and she has been ducking him ever since. But he knows she is more than the ditz she plays for the camera and there is something about her when she is being real Levi can’t get enough of. But she isn’t staying in the sleepy town of Tickled Pink for long so how close should he try to get?
Tavi is in hell, well it isn’t quite hell, but it has every horrible family member she has been trying to get away from for years. She doesn’t like who she is with them and her grandmother is a piece of work. Still if she wants to keep her trust fund unlocked to be able to run the cacao farm she bought, she has to be in Tickled Pink and work with her family to try and save her soul, which she thought was kinda already saved. To do that she needs to teach the town how to promote itself to get people in and her first victim project is Levi. He is one of the hottest bachelors in Tickled Pink and Tavi can make his a star by setting him up on Tik Tok to help people with their plumbing. He will have dating offers galore after that and definitely be able to get over the girl from high school who is currently married.
Tavi and Levi make a cute couple. He sees through her lies and she doesn’t know the kid he used to be so there is no judgement on his past. They help each other learn to be kinder to themselves and love themselves for who they are today without judgements on how they got there. As they help each other with the current problems in their lives it is clear there is more than just a little sexual attraction and could this be love forming between them? It will be interesting to see how a girl looking to live in Costa Rica and a guy from a little town are going to figure out this thing that is bigger than either of them realize.
This is really everything I needed in a romance novel. Funny, great characters, silly situations and second chances. I had a great time reading it and it is definitely one of my highlights from 2022.
Narration:
Savannah Peachwood had the perfect voice for Tavi. She was adorable cute and babbled well when Tavi got nervous or was trying to steer the conversation a different direction. Sebastian York’s voice is just dreamy like butter which is why he is very well know for narrating romance novels. I have loved his voice in everything I’ve listened to by him. Really a great pairing for this novel. I was able to listen at my usual 1.5x speed.

It’s the first time I hear about this one but it looks good
I thought the idea was so cute. I really enjoyed the premise of the story and the little town of tickled pink.
“first victim…project is Levi” that made me laugh.
Yeah…we girls love our victims…I mean projects.
I believe that I have read one book written by this author and enjoyed it. I know that I have had a lot of luck with this narrator as well. I could definitely see myself enjoying this one.
I’ve read a few and they were cute. I had a really good time with this one so I’m excited to pick up others in this series.
I have been wanting to read a book by Pippa Grant. I need to try one of her books one day
I think there are a few good starting places. I think this series is a solid way to start though.
This one does sound like the exact type of story I love to read. I’ll have to add it to my TBR. Great review!
