This is a new feature I developed where each month we will look at our favorite – the best – series in a genre or topic.
The topic here, by my definition, is a series with main characters who are part of a Security Company. I wish I could find some of these in the mystery thriller category but these are pretty much all romantic suspense. I enjoy an equal emphasis on the action / mystery / strategy plot as the romance and that is harder to find in this category. These are the ones which came to mind. I enjoyed some more than others.
Since I haven’t read everything, it’s a subset of the possibilities. I’m sure I am forgetting some great authors. There are also plenty of authors I have yet to read. Please share your favorites with me in the comments, also.

I read all types of books but my favorites are urban fantasy and romantic suspense.I like some romance and some action / adventure / mystery in everything.I like sex in my books but please, only between TWO people.Intimate conversation is equally important to the sex in a book.It lets me see the characters.The other thing I enjoy is humor.

Love the Suzanne Brockman one! I just finished a good series from Kendall Talbot, Alpha Tactical Ops. I need to explore more security company series.
yes I’ve been reading your reviews and thinking I would like to read the Kendall Talbot series.
I enjoyed the Troubleshooters series, but I also liked Killer Instincts by Elle Kennedy. I’m sure there’s more that I can’t think of right now. I didn’t read the others listed here. Must look into them!
I also loved Killer Instincts but felt that was more military ops than security? I don’t know. Maybe you could say that about Troubleshooters in some books too. The books all tend to have ex-military guys.
I haven’t read any of these either, Anne. I do love this type of romantic suspense, though.
I also read the Isabel Jolie one Better to See You and it was good too. I just wanted them to focus more on tactics and strategy than lust and sex.
