This would be a difficult topic to do for me as I read a lot of indie authors and they don’t always announce their books far in advance, but there are definitely as bunch of next books in series i am eagerly awaiting. How fun all 3 of you have A Drop of Corruption by Robert Jackson Bennett on your list and I spotted Cold as Hell by Kelley Armstrong twice as well. Lots of next books in series on your list as far as I can tell.
yes they are mostly next in series or regular authors that have been announced. Indies don’t always announce early so it’s harder to list them. Yes we all want A Drop of Corruption. In addition, to Cold as Hell and the next Alpha & Omega by Patricia Briggs.
If Ilona Andrews has something new coming out in 2025 it is on my list. But I looked and didn’t see anything really scheduled until 2026 when they have a new series/stand alone coming.
Also really like Kelley Armstrong and almost anything she is putting out.
I’ve got three indie books on my list, but they are easier to know about because they are from a series and the authors put in their newsletters the planned releases, but yes, in general, indies are tougher to predict.
I’m thinking the Robert Jackson Bennett series is a big hit on Anne’s blog crew. 🙂
Archangel’s Ascension by Nalini Singh, Anything by Ilona Andrews. Hopefully the third and final book in the Sugar & Vice series by Allie Therin (I NEED THIS ONE!). Upcoming Patty Briggs for sure! I haven’t really mapped out 2025 yet.
This forced me to take a look. But many things are not announced yet.
Oh yes, the next Guild Hunter with Bluebell and Sparkle is going to be fab. I’ve seen hints that a new Hugh book from Ilona Andrews will be out and the graphic novel version of their Innkeeeper Chronicles v 2 is out soon. I spotted on Patty’s Instagram page that she is planning the next Alpha and Omega. Good year of releases!
I’m also very excited for A Drop of Corruption and Hemlock and Silver😁
A Drop of Corruption is a unanimous pick for us. I have it and wanted to start reading, hopefully soon.
I have enjoyed almost everything T. Kingfisher. Love that she has something new coming out next year.
This is a hard one because there are so many that I’m excited for! I would have put Onyx Storm too, but since I haven’t read Iron Flame yet, I figured I’d better wait and make sure I still love the series after book 2. Great picks! I love that you all have one of the same books on your lists!
Onyx Storm is in a super readable series, I might have liked Iron Flame a smidge more that The Fourth Wing. Probably not the best Fantasy/Romantasy out there but enjoyable non the less…
It’s nice we have one in common. I think most Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs, Kelley Armstrong, maybe James Butcher would all be popular too. But not everything is announced. I like having some diversity too.
I hope all the next books you guys read are good ones.
Thanks, Mary! We’re all going to have a fab 2025 reading year. 🙂
Thank you Mary. We really have a wealth of choices.
What a fabulous list of books. I got Atonement Sky by Nalini Singh (need to get caught up) & Anything by Ilona Andrew on mine. Books Books Books give me more. ^_^
I’m hoping for another shorter The Wilmington Years book from Ilona Andrews or really anything :p
I also need to catch up on Nalini Singh.
I agree anything by Andrews would be lovely. I think a new series is being released in 2025, but not positive. Singh I’m behind, but it’s on the list of To Read. ^_^
Yes, I’m excited to already have a copy of Atonement Sky. It’s going to be fab 2025 reading year. 🙂
I need to get caught up on Singh. I have the Hardcovers, just a bit behind. It’s on the list of To Read 2025. ^_^
Thanks. I hope we get Ilona Andrews something. My guess is maybe Hugh 2. And I hope they can get Steve West for the narration to match the first one.
I agree they need to keep the same narrator for Hugh’s series. West is good. I’m all for anything by Andrews.
Anne, your list hit all of mine. Robin & Sophia had a few as well.
Glad to hear we both have great taste in books. There are so many amazing choices and not everything announced either.
I want six of the books on your list, Anne (no surprise!)💜 Robin, I’ve got by eye on that Pierce Brown book, too. Sophia, I didn’t even know there’s an Alpha & Omega release in 2025.
Great lists everyone!
I’ve been waiting to read the 5-7 together. I want to do a reread of the entire series before Red God comes out.
Oh…I also didn’t know about the Alpha and Omega release in 2025, that is always on my short list.
LOL, I spotted the mention of the next Alpha & Omega on her instagram page. Woohoo!
Thanks Jonetta. The Alpha & Omega release is scheduled for November. Not everything is announced but I get way too many author and publisher newsletters so I see some.
Maggie Stiefvater has a new one coming out!? And Kelly Armstrong!? Ahhh.
Ash @ Essentially Ash
Want to follow me on Bookstagram, booktok, add my snapchat or check out my photography?
yes and Kelley Armstrong has at least 2 coming out. One is Rockton/ Haven’s Rock and the other is in the historical time portal series
I still have to read Iron Flame, but I think I’ll do it right before Onyx Storm comes out. Not long to wait now!
It seems like forever and then it is here.
eee! Patricia Briggs!!!
One of my top favorites.
Anne, I love your number one. Yes, anything by Ilona Andrews is an auto-read.
Thank you! You’re going to love the 2025 Read-along then.
Nemesis, Remember When, Cold as Hell, the new Patricia Briggs, Kelley Armstrong and Benedict Jacka are on my list, too!
Great choices!
I’ve wanted to read Ilona Andrews since forever. Happy reading when you all get to these!
Ilona Andrews is a top favorite. Things coming out this year are further along in the series. You would be more than welcome to join one part or all of the Read-along this year which is two loosely related Ilona Andrews series.. The Edge (4 books) is older 2009-2012 and more PNR with a different couple in each book. Innkeeper (5) is newer. Both have scifi aspects and fantasy.
I’ll take a look at the read along, thanks.
