I picked up this audiobook after seeing a post from Mark Hamill about starring in an upcoming Stephen King adaptation. I wasn’t familiar with The Long Walk before that, and this ended up being my first Richard Bachman book. King has written so much over the years, it’s hard to keep up with both […]
I’ve really been getting into these D.D. Warren books. I started off reading the books while on vacation this summer. Now that I’m back at home, I’ve gone back to my normal reading medium, audiobooks. While the first two books in the D.D. Warren series didn’t have a huge amount of D.D., the Boston PD […]
It is great to be back in the world of Fred and the gang. I so love this series, with a vampire accountant and all his wide range of supernatural friends (and enemies). In Posthumous Education, Fred is being called upon to return his favor owed to the Winter Fae Queen. It is so easy; […]
Fred, Crystal and the gang survived the wedding, but life is never normal for the House of Fred. And Fred’s sire is still out to get Fred, but no one realized what lengths he would go to, to get to Fred. Fred and the gang are looking for a new place to live after an […]
Ash is the first book in prequel to the Dragonheart Saga by the same author. I have not read that series so can’t comment on how it ties in but it can be read without any prior knowledge of this world. The story is told in the present with jumps back to the past for […]
A dead body, an empty cabin, a mysterious girl, a lone rider, and a gang after a treasure make for a very exciting western adventure. I was looking forward to a tale told alternating between a sixteen year old boy with lots of grit and a hard man with cold gray eyes from two talented […]
The Fred stories are told from a first person point of view as Fred writes down the story of his life. Nothing is ever easy when Fred and the gang are involved and even something, like Fred and Krystal’s wedding, is no different. Somewhere Old The story start with Fred and Krystal going to Boarback […]
I started by getting audios from the Fred, The Vampire Accountant series at the library. Once I was current, I requested them for audio review. It’s a slow burn with Fred’s tales. They start so straightforward and then everything goes to hell. Deadly Assessments was quite suspenseful. The story was very focused on Fred, his vampire training, […]
Melanie has been listening to these and I just had to try them. Fortunately, I was able to get the three previous audiobooks in the Fred, The Vampire Accountant series at the library. I wasn’t completely sure about them after the first book, The Utterly Uninteresting and Unadventurous Tales of Fred, The Vampire Accountant. But as […]
Today’s friend is Stormi from Books, Movies, Reviews! Oh My!. I have gotten to know her a little through the COYER Challenge which is just the most fun, and the facebook group is the most active and helpful. She picks so many interesting reads, lots of them are mysteries which I really like. […]
